BB Torch :: 9860 When Connect Device To Laptop / It Needs Radio To Be Turned On
Jun 26, 2012
i have just got my blackbery torch 9860. i want to download some applications. when i connect my device to laptop it needs the radio to be turned on.. my mobile network is turned on. in the forums i read that the blackberry data plan is neccessary.
when i open my browser i get this very long message starting with the sentence in the subject. I use the browser when I'm on wifi only(mobile network off) as in my country you only have 100 mbs on the mobile network.
I am unable to pair my Torch 9860 with my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Laptop (the laptop is Fujitsu AH530/GFX). I have:
1. Reinstalled the BB Desktop Manager several times; 2. I reinstalled the Bluetooth drivers several times 3. Reinstalled all Windows features 4. Enabled all ports and communication services in Windows and Windows Firewall 5. I deactivated and reactivated by anti-virus
The Torch recognizes the laptop but the laptop doesn't recognize the Torch. I've been on the Fujitsu website and reinstalled all the drivers.
just bought this device, trying to install some apps, and getting the "device radio is turned off" issue. i read the forum and tried the battery suggestion, rebooting, and all that. i do not have data plan on this phone, not sure if that is causing it, but my wifi is working fine as i was able to browse ebay and Internet.
I have a 9860 from tigo paraguay, and the device stays frozen too much times, example when i press de unlock key ussually stay black for at least 20 secs, and when a app its instaling i cant use the phone, my os ver its 7.0.0.0.353 what can i do about this i think an 1.2 ghz processor doesnt have to have this kind of issues
Can i get animated wallpapers running smooth for my device? i ever had one on my torch 9800 that wasnt smoothly running with it.But i really think my torch 9860 can have it easily.
I have a 9860 that froze on me & rebooted, once it got past the black blackberry loading screen, it goes white and says Error 205 Reload Software.. Its on a constant loop of rebooting and this screen. i tried following the instructions giving on [URL] however i cannot get my phone connected to the desktop manager.
I recently upgraded to a 9860 but when I sync to my desktop, i am getting an error message that says" Application Loader Wizard requires blackberry device manager to be installed. Contact customer support"
i try to download some appication by laptop when device connect any massage turn on device radio, i try to follow all instruction to turn on but still massage coming turn on device radio what should i do?
My Radio won't connect inside my house. out in country. Why wont my apps ie web and App World say cant register on network. Web pages work good on wifi why not appworld?
On my Z3 I have no signal. In the service menu * # * # 4636 # * # * I found that the radio is turned off. After pressing the button to turn on the radio, nothing happens.
I turned off the 3G network and wish to connect to the Internet via the WiFi connection. My WiFi is enabled and has a valid IP address. I can ping the WiFi gateway, I can also ping an external host (google.com which resolves to 74.125.224.134). DNS lookup also works just fine and I can ping various hostnames directly. So, the ICMP packets are traversing the network. In WiFi Diagnostics (Advanced), I see a valid local IP address (192.168.5.190) and gateway (192.168.5.1, which is also the local DNS server / DNS relay agent). So, I want to pull data (web pages, etc.) from the Internet using the WiFi only (with the 3G cell / mobile network disabled). But when I turn off the mobile radio, I get this error: "Cannot visit web page when radio is turned off. Please turn on the radio and try again."
Both my wife and I have the Atrix 2 and have been pretty happy, especially since it is our first smartphones. Problem is with the FM Radio. When she is using her every (and I mean every) 45 minutes her phone shuts of the radio. I don't have any problems with mine. I tried going to both phone screen by screen and we both have everything set the same.
My blackberry has come up with an error message JVM Error 505. I've tried everything from taking the battery out to updating the latest software on my mac and still the error message appears. when I connect the device to the computer it won't even register my blackberry device. it says that everything is up to date. this is driving me insane.
after updating my torch, the red light wont stop blinking. blinks twice.. stops and on and on.whenever i would plug my torch to the computer it gives me this message :"The BlackBerry® Desktop Software cannot connect with this device. If this device is rebooting or has a dead battery, click Retry to attempt to reconnect once the device reboots. If clicking Retry doesn't connect the device, or the device isn't rebooting with a charged battery, you might need to update your BlackBerry® Device Software to correct the problem. You can also click Cancel to stop trying to connect your device with the BlackBerry Desktop Software. To try again, you'll need to disconnect and reconnect your device with your USB cable."then whenever i click update > blackberry 6.0 (which is recommended), it would stop at "Loading OS" and quits by itself.
I plugged in my headset to the phone and opened up the media player, strange thing happening, headset sign changing to speaker phone and back again to headset and same thing happening repeatedly, what is the problem i do not understand plus i am also not able to listen to music through headset,my phone is hardly 23-25days old.
After a recent update of the software on my Tour, I find the battery draining INCREDIBLY fast when the Radio is turned off.
At work, I don't get a signal, so I have been turning off the radio...and in that state, after 24 hours, the battery is usually still at 100%.Now....my battery is draining down to 40% in 5 hours....any thoughts anyone?
My computer keeps saying "Application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please reconnect your device, enter the password, if required, and click retry." when I try to update the phone. The issue before was that the phone kept shutting off and would get stuck on the display loading bar everytime. I went to the AT&T store in town and they told me I needed to update it. I tried that and now it won't even turn on. The red light flashes a few times and then it stops and gives me the above message. What should I do?
I recently moved to Germany from the US and I brought my Blackberry Torch along with me. I purchased a German SIM card that is not for Blackberries (because they required me to sign a 2-year contract and I didn't want that), but I was told that this plan gave me unlimited data and that I would be able to check my emails, go on FB, etc. Last night I inserted the German SIM card on my phone and everything worked fine (I checked some emails and downloaded an app) but today I did not receive any emails, could not access FB, AppWorld or any other function that required WiFi. The phone is connected to WiFi and the O2 mobile network.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9000 and was updating the latest application on it yesterday. Due to low battrey my laptop turned off before the sofware was properly installed. I have tried the following:
1) to take out the battrey and switch on the phone and tried to load the sofware again but that does not seem to work as the desktop software does not recognise my phone it says unknown device. 2) I have tried to use the update option in the website but that also does not seem to be working
The screen is showing the following message when turned on: Application permissions: The application saftey driving is attempting to access the phone information. I am unable to move the trackball to the appropiate option.
Today I received a second-hand iphone 3GS to replace a 4s which I lost.
Upon receipt, the phone displayed an image of a usb connector and an itunes logo suggesting that I need to connect to itunes before use.Â
When I attach the phone to a toshiba satellite C50 laptop it connects and immediately disconnects with an audible tone. This connect/disconnect cycle repeats every second or so and never ends.Â
If I connect the phone whilst powered down, hold the power button and home button together for 10 secs and then hold the home button only to enter restore mode, the phone connects to itunes and I get the option to restore. However, the restore always fails.Â
I have tried connecting using two seperate USB cables - I am not sure if either is genuine. There is no effect.Â
I have tried disabling USB controllers individually within device manager. There is no effect.Â
I have tried different USB ports/ There is no effect.Â
While connected, the phone appears in the device manager intermittently, appearing and disappearing as the phone connects/disconnects.Â
i bought a new torch 9860 with OS7. when i try to open any flash video from facebook, it doesn;t open and says my phone doesnot support this. on adobe site, there is no flash player available for blackberry os7.
