I have a 9860 from tigo paraguay, and the device stays frozen too much times, example when i press de unlock key ussually stay black for at least 20 secs, and when a app its instaling i cant use the phone, my os ver its 7.0.0.0.353 what can i do about this i think an 1.2 ghz processor doesnt have to have this kind of issues

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9800. This device freezes up multiple times per day. I've had it for 1 1/2 years now, and has done this since about 6 months in. Used to happen only occasionally, then more often. When I upgraded the software it seemed to stop for awhile, then started again, and is now not only annoying, but is preventing me from doing my work. It has frozen up already 4 times in a 5 hour time period. When this happens, I cannot do anything, access emails, make calls, etc. I can receive calls, but cannot disconnect once the call is complete. The freeze goes on for between 5 and 10 minutes at a time. Sometimes (but not always) once its done, an error message comes on screen that says: "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(1637) is not responding, process terminated. " The number (1637) is always different. I do not use BBM, and have tried to see if I can delete it from my phone, but it doesn't seem that I can. I am up to date on all software.

It vibrated and the backlight lit up as it usually does when the phone turns on, however, the Sony Ericsson logo does not appear and it stays frozen in this state. I have tried removing the battery for a few minutes but it doesn't change anything. I also tried connecting to PC Companion, which intermittently detects the phone, as if it was being continuously connected and disconnected. I cannot do an update or anything to it from the computer.

Things I have done to solve this irritating issue:
- Hard reboot (remove battery and put phone on again).
- Soft reboot (log off and on again.
- Restore factory settings.
- Go to Options>Screen>LED indicator from on to off.
What else can I do to get rid of this irritating light? It just never goes out and now I cannot see any new incoming messages or phone calls (a red LED indicator should appear, but this is not the case anymore).
I have a Torch 9850 that has been shutting down repeatedly. It seems to crash and I have to do a battery pull for it to restart and when it does, it shuts back off again! The phone stays on and works fine while the charger is plugged in but as soon as the charger is removed, it shuts off again.
