Mar 14, 2012Since upgrading to IOS 5.1 when iPhone 4 is locked the camera icon does not open when selected. I have to unlock phone with my passcoded to use the camera. The feature worked with IOS 5.0.

Nov 27, 2013I have two issues. I took a picture using Nokia camera app which is on default. Some pics didn't save.
Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.

Nov 29, 2013I have noticed that the back light on the camera (the small round one) stays on constantly. the lens cover was stuck open and the camera wont start. didnt hear the caller but the caller could hear me when in a call. no sound from the bottom speaker. all at once. screen ok vibrating ok.
I have noticed this when i pulled the phone from my pocket. it has been there for 20 minutes or so. before working fine.
Managed to get some of the hardware working later by looping videos i have recorded. after 4 5 times the sound came back. then after plugging headphones in the jack and pulling it out again i could hear the caller. then downloaded hardware test app and the camera came back but every time i switched from still to video the flash went off. happened also when switching from front facing cam to the normal one.

Dec 15, 2012A few days ago I stupidly dropped my xperia play in the bath. I let it dry out and place in rice in a sealed container for a few days to dry it out. However when I now power the phone up the camera flash light stays on and will not switch off even going into the camera settings and turning it off. I done the software repair download from the sony website but it hasn't helped.I also purchased a new battery as well. I am guessing it's going to need repaired but I thought I ask on here if anyone has ideas as to what would be causing the problem.

Jun 12, 2012I have an IPhone 4S. The camera won't open. i had think i had previously filled up the memory, but i have deleted at least 40 pictures since then, and the camera still won't open.
Secondly, i had tried to download some of the many pictures i have shot on my IPhone (great having a camera in my pocket) but the IPhoto on my older MAC powerbook G4 laptop (running OS X 10.5.8) insists on starting at the beginning of all the pictures, even though i say not to download the duplicates, and gets hung up/frozen halfway through ignoring the duplicates and freezes up, so i never get to download the new ones. Why is this? How can i choose just the new ones for I-Photo to import?

Mar 25, 201232GB iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1. I recently tried to open the camera from the lockscreen but instead of opening the camera app, the icon bounces and doesn't open. I used to be able to double-click to bring up the camera icon and open it from there. Double-clicking still brings up the icon only this time instead of a picture of just the camera there are bars above and below the camera icon. Almost like a 'holding' or disabling command.
I can access the camera app if I slide to unlock the screen and go from there. The camera works fine. Changing HDR settings made no difference and I can't find anything under settings or the camera app. I have not done a reformat but I did do a hard reset, turning the phone off and back on, and that hold camera icon still comes up.

Mar 29, 2012i have tried everything as advised over the net. it seems that the last option for me it go to an apple store. but then again, i have been seeing this iphone 4 glitch topics as old as 2010. is mac doing something about it? iphone 4s is my first non sony ericsson phone (been using se since 2005) and with the product pull outs i have chosen iphone over samsung s2 and this is what i get. as much as possible i don't want to have my phone replaced. i bought my 4s last feb 19 and i can't believe this is happening!

May 2, 2012My brand new iPhone 4s that runs iOS 5.1 won't open my camera. Everytime I click on it now the camera app just stays on the closed lens screen or it goes to a black screen. It doesn't work 75-90% of the time now. I went to my local AT&T store and they told me to do a hard restart which worked for a bit but know has no effect. My I have restored my phone plenty of times which didn't work and I have tried going in and out of Dfu mode and that also didn't work should I take it in and get a new phone? If so it hasn't been 30 days yet since my purchase but I don't want to get a refurbished phone. I have the apple care plan but I repeat I don't want a used phone.
