My blackberry has come up with an error message JVM Error 505. I've tried everything from taking the battery out to updating the latest software on my mac and still the error message appears. when I connect the device to the computer it won't even register my blackberry device. it says that everything is up to date. this is driving me insane.

I've uninstalled KIES along with the drivers and installed them back again to no avail. Is it possible to flash the phone with a working Android version without using the computer - through the SD card?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been having this issue for a while on my Torch 9850. It will only charge the battery when connected to a computer. I have bought several USB cables including one specified for charging. I have replaced the battery with a new one, bought high mAH wall charger and car charger (2 amp and 5 amp), and used several other chargers from friends phones on several other outlets. It will charge on my PC, my laptop, Windows or Linux, but thats a real pain when my truck is my office.

It asks me for my password over and over, then drops the "connected" icon on the phone and goes back to the regular screen. I cant get it to stay connected for more than a few seconds. I didnt have this problem a few days ago when I had a new sim card installed. It just started and now I cant update the phone or sync my photos, music, vids etc.
Is this a common hardware issue, a software problem, user malfunction, gremlins on the motherboard? Before I do what we all want to and throw this thing into a brick wall.

I purchased a German SIM card that is not for Blackberries (because they required me to sign a 2-year contract and I didn't want that), but I was told that this plan gave me unlimited data and that I would be able to check my emails, go on FB, etc. Last night I inserted the German SIM card on my phone and everything worked fine (I checked some emails and downloaded an app) but today I did not receive any emails, could not access FB, AppWorld or any other function that required WiFi. When I try to loads pages it will maybe load 1 or 2 pages, then just time out and bring up the message - "unable to connect to internet please try again later,if the problem persists please contact your service provider."I have full coverage at the time when I am trying to load the pages. It happens on most pages I try loading, sometimes they load, sometimes they dont. I used to have to empty the cache memory, and then turn the phone on and off again to get it working again, but now even that doesnt work. When the phone restarted the message "App Error 606" / "Reset" came up. I can't do anything on my phone except for reset it, and pulling the battery does nothing.When I try to connect it to blackberry desktop software it wont connect... I left it for an hour and it still just said that it was connecting.I also tried connecting to BBSAK and it couldn't connect there either, so I can't reset it to factory settings. I checked the desktop manager and it recognizes the USB port as connected to a blackberry device but that is about as close as I can get to connecting to anything.I have a backup of all of my information from before this happened so I don't mind completely resetting my phone, but I have no idea how to do this without being able to:
a) connect it to the computer
b) do anything except reset on the phone

You've probably all been asked this loads and I've read some forums posts and tried software but ive not been able to find a solution or answer.Basically Ive just got myself a Storm2 and was told by my provider that I could sync my emails from outlook to my device and back like a windows mobile device. As ive found out this isnt the case, I really like the phone and dont want to hand it back over to swap for another device but if I dont find a solution then I wont have a choice.My question is, is there any software available that will sync my device to my computer the same as a WM device does through activesync?I have tried Astrasync and Notifysync both which throw errors up and dont work
