I just got the new bold and i put memory card and transfered all my numbers via the DM with no problems BUT my computer wont recognize my memory card(the folder option thing that should pop up) nore will it show a folder in "My Computer".What do i need to do to get it to work?

I've tried everything from taking the battery out to updating the latest software on my mac and still the error message appears. when I connect the device to the computer it won't even register my blackberry device. it says that everything is up to date. this is driving me insane.

Windows try to install it and later solicites a driver for the device, I alredy see in other computer what drivers the blackberry needs to works and copy them to my Windos Xp but still does not work, is there a driver or something for that windows recognize the blackberry?

I'm having a bit of trouble deciding between the Nexus One and the Blackberry 9700. I've heard some problems with the Nexus One and the Blackberry 9700 seems to work perfectly fine, no problems at all. My phone will be used mostly for web browsing, sms and mms, and email (gmail). Which phone do you think is best for me? Anyone own both, care to share? Also either phone will be replacing my computer, since mine broke. View 14 Replies View RelatedHow do i get pics off my bb onto my laptop?I put the usb cable into my laptop then the other end into my bb, then it said insert the disk that came with the bb, which i did.It says its successfully installed the software, but i cant find nothing on my laptop.I thought it would be the same process as with a digi camera, plug the usb into your laptop and camera then a pop up comes up saying do you wanna put pics from your cam to your laptop.What am i missing?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI didn't see a thread that pertained to my problem, so if there is then let me apologize ahead of time for the duplication. Anyway. I have a Bold 9700 and the new version of Desktop manager. I went to transfer photo and video from by BBBold to my computer, but the media manager just throws me into my Roxio and it doesn't recognize the media card in the BB. Worse yet, the computer will show the BB as a removable disk, yet when I clicked on it to try and transfer the file the "old school" way, it then says it doesn't recognize the drive. I'm doing this through transfer cable, my laptop doesn't have bluetooth built in. The old Desktop had a nice, convenient dual window setup where you could just drag files back and forth. If anyone knows how to make the new Desktop manager do that or how I can accomplish the file transfers that apparently Desktop doesn't want me to do, please let me know.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble pairing my Bold 9700 with my computer. I did it once, but had to take it off, and now I can't redo it. I have Windows 7 64-bit. When I try to pair it with my computer, it says it cannot find the driver and only recognizes it as a modem. It doesn't recognize that I'm actually pairing a Blackberry device. As a result, I cannot add it in the Desktop Manager. Got the desktop manager to recognize it. Seems like that was just luck, and everything does seem to work. However, my computer says there is problems with the device as it cannot find 2 drivers. It actually doesn't work at all. It's clearly driver related. It only recognizes it as a modem and a bluetooth remote. Nothing blackberry related. (When I use the USB, it's fine). Just another small problem, every time (or almost) that I connect my phone to my computer and open the Desktop Manager, it tells me some sort of Chinese character support needs to be updated. However, when I tell it ok, and it rechecks to see what needs to be updated, it says no new updates are available.

After a while, my fingers get cramped using they BB keyboard and there must be a way I can do this. My razor came with software that connected my phone to my PC and you could see everything on your monitor and use your PC keyboard...it was awesome. Surely, there is software with BB that does this.

Troubleshooting Completed:
*Installed Blackberry Desktop Manager 501_b073_multilanguage from Blackberry website. Connected Device to USB1, Device recognized in Windows Device Manager as "Blackberry Smartphone" under USB Controllers and "RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 (COM8) and (COM9) under Ports in Windows Device Manager, but Blackbery Device Manager only shows COM3 "Disabled" and nothing else. Desktop Manager shows "Device Connected (PIN): None"
*Uninstalled Driver for Blackberry Device in Windows Device Manager and reconnected Device to USB2. Same result
*Uninstalled Blackberry Desktop Manager 501_b073_multilanguage and reinstalled with out Media Manager or Roxio>Installed device software from Provider specific Blackberry Site(software version 5.0.0.442)>Reconnected Device to USB3. Same Result
*Uninstalled Blackberry Desktop Manager 501_b073_multilanguage and uninstalled Blackberry Device driver through Windows Device Manager> Uninstalled ALL USB Root Hub>Restarted Computer>Installed Desktop Manager 500_b028_multilanguage>Reconnected Device to USB1. Same Result

At this point I am at a loss for a next step in troubleshooting.
whenever I plug it into my computer or search the Device/System folders manually they are hidden (on the bb) or they are simply not there (when i use the explorer) i hat to format the bb a few times, and the problem gets solved for a few minutes.the deal with this is that when i sync the music, wheter is copy and paste on the explorer music folder in the pc or using the BB desktop manager media sync software, it uses the device space, the music gets actually synced into the device but I cannot access this music from the media library. when i try to it says that there is only 1 song, and its the default one that comes with the cellphone; so I look up in the Files app, Device/System folders and they are all Hidden.
I dont know why this folders are hidden so whenever i wanna have access to my music i have to go to files, device folders, show hidden stuff and finally i can see my songs... the thing is that i have to play one by one and i cannot change or switch apps since its not streaming in the media player....im worried about this, Ive reseted the cellphone, backed up, even formated it at the my computer, blackberry(M) properties..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI woke up in the middle of the night and saw my bberry at the start up screen with the white bar. It was at the 75%. I don't recall installing any apps before i slept which would require a reboot. So, i pull out the battery and reinsert it. It was still stuck at 75%. Tried it a few times this morning and still at the start up screen. I need help ASAP!
I called T-Mobile and they said a file is corrupted and would need to send me a replacement.Is there anything i could do?
