The synchronization between my computer and my Bold 9700 say "progressing"... for the last 30 minutes...I really start to believe that Blackberry is a bad product... if is not a problem with synchronization is my tablet or my phone...I had installed version OS 6... Please let me know if you have any suggestion or a fix... I need to have my information on both sides...(computer and phone Bold) ASAP....
View 3 RepliesJust got a BlackBerry bold 9700 smatphone (on O2 UK). (nice phone!) I'm tryng to syncronise my phone with my work PC so that I can access my Outlook calender at home + put my Outlook contacts on my phone. I have instaled BlackBerry Desktop manager then I went to "syncronize" on the main menu. On the left had side there is a tab that says "syncronizatin" (i cliked on it). I then hit Synchronization. I have selected ALL the device applications i.e. calender, memo pad, address book and tasks then hit OK. I then get an error measage as follows:
"Synchronization is currently unavailable for: Address Book because the application(s) is (are) configured for wireless synchronization. Desktop synchronization for the above application(s) will be disabled. Please click on "Help" for information on how to disable wireless synchronization on your device."
I've been getting the following message when I synchronize my address book, memo pad and tasks.

I even get an email from BB telling me that it stopped and I should change to Yes in my contacts list under my gmail account, but after checking it is set up to Yes. There is an internet connection, but i do not have the password to go online (we have a Token because it is the notebook of the company i am working for). If the Desktop Software tries to get online, it does not find the connection. (Proxy) Is there a possibility to sync with outlook, without going online first. With my last Blackberry 8900 it was possible.

When I go to the unknown list under Wireless Synchronization it is grayed out and says unavailable. I can't figure out how to synch them. I'm having a bit of trouble deciding between the Nexus One and the Blackberry 9700. I've heard some problems with the Nexus One and the Blackberry 9700 seems to work perfectly fine, no problems at all. My phone will be used mostly for web browsing, sms and mms, and email (gmail). Which phone do you think is best for me? Anyone own both, care to share? Also either phone will be replacing my computer, since mine broke. If there are already posts about this, I'm sorry just trying to get some help quickly because I don't have access to a computer for to long so I have to make up my mind quickly
View 14 Replies View RelatedHow do i get pics off my bb onto my laptop?I put the usb cable into my laptop then the other end into my bb, then it said insert the disk that came with the bb, which i did.It says its successfully installed the software, but i cant find nothing on my laptop.I thought it would be the same process as with a digi camera, plug the usb into your laptop and camera then a pop up comes up saying do you wanna put pics from your cam to your laptop.What am i missing?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI didn't see a thread that pertained to my problem, so if there is then let me apologize ahead of time for the duplication. Anyway. I have a Bold 9700 and the new version of Desktop manager. I went to transfer photo and video from by BBBold to my computer, but the media manager just throws me into my Roxio and it doesn't recognize the media card in the BB. Worse yet, the computer will show the BB as a removable disk, yet when I clicked on it to try and transfer the file the "old school" way, it then says it doesn't recognize the drive. I'm doing this through transfer cable, my laptop doesn't have bluetooth built in. The old Desktop had a nice, convenient dual window setup where you could just drag files back and forth. If anyone knows how to make the new Desktop manager do that or how I can accomplish the file transfers that apparently Desktop doesn't want me to do, please let me know.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble pairing my Bold 9700 with my computer. I did it once, but had to take it off, and now I can't redo it. I have Windows 7 64-bit. When I try to pair it with my computer, it says it cannot find the driver and only recognizes it as a modem. It doesn't recognize that I'm actually pairing a Blackberry device. As a result, I cannot add it in the Desktop Manager. Got the desktop manager to recognize it. Seems like that was just luck, and everything does seem to work. However, my computer says there is problems with the device as it cannot find 2 drivers. It actually doesn't work at all. It's clearly driver related. It only recognizes it as a modem and a bluetooth remote. Nothing blackberry related. (When I use the USB, it's fine). Just another small problem, every time (or almost) that I connect my phone to my computer and open the Desktop Manager, it tells me some sort of Chinese character support needs to be updated. However, when I tell it ok, and it rechecks to see what needs to be updated, it says no new updates are available.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new Blackberry Bold 9700 - just started it up. I set up synchronization with Outlook and everything went smoothly. The Device Manager log shows that Memo Pad data was transferred to the device. But I cannot find the Memo Pad Icon (or the Task icon or the Search Icon...). I've looked everywhere. From reading other posts, it appears that I may have to reinstall the device operating system. Is that the case? If so, it's pretty discouraging to have to do this with a brand new BB.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I work at home, I want to connect my BB Bold 9700 to my PC and use my monitor and my keyboard to send text and emails. After a while, my fingers get cramped using they BB keyboard and there must be a way I can do this. My razor came with software that connected my phone to my PC and you could see everything on your monitor and use your PC keyboard...it was awesome. Surely, there is software with BB that does this.

I spent £100 on the latter yesterday after discovering that Windows Calendar can not be synchronised with my new Bold 9700: the sync process ends with a Microsoft Outlook Connector Error message: "No available message stores". Burrowing into Blackberry's on-line support, it seems the most likely cause is BDM - 5.0.1 - trying to connect to an unsupported version of Outlook. (Article ID KB15564).
The result is no contacts or diary on my expensive new smartphone, which is disappointing beyond belief, since Outlook 2007 etc. seems no longer available.

How can I manipulate these numbers easily on my Mac computer? I downloaded Blackberry Desktop Manager for Mac and have backed up the contacts (as a bbb file, I think). But still finding it difficult to actually see the phone numbers and manipulate them on my computer.
I've just recently downloaded the desktop software to my computer and am having some slight troubles. Everytime I put the device password in the computer, it rejects it and prompts me to try again and so on and so fourth.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've recently got a BlackBerry Bold 9780, I am used to have smartphones with my company email all the time, changes I do in my desktop/server I want them in my smartphone and viceversa, we don't use M$ Outlook in the company, we have IMAP accounts.This is, maybe, the most basic feature of a smartphone but until now it seems that BlackBerry just has a 1-way email synchronization, changes that you do in your desktop/server do not reflect in your BlackBerry, if this is true the only thing I will miss wil be the BB messenger.
