I even get an email from BB telling me that it stopped and I should change to Yes in my contacts list under my gmail account, but after checking it is set up to Yes. When I go to my contacts and use options I have a contact list of unknown which has my contacts that I use for my bold. When I go to the unknown list under Wireless Synchronization it is grayed out and says unavailable. I can't figure out how to synch them. I'm tryng to syncronise my phone with my work PC so that I can access my Outlook calender at home + put my Outlook contacts on my phone. I have instaled BlackBerry Desktop manager then I went to "syncronize" on the main menu. On the left had side there is a tab that says "syncronizatin" (i cliked on it). I then hit Synchronization. I have selected ALL the device applications i.e. calender, memo pad, address book and tasks then hit OK. I then get an error measage as follows:
"Synchronization is currently unavailable for: Address Book because the application(s) is (are) configured for wireless synchronization. Desktop synchronization for the above application(s) will be disabled. Please click on "Help" for information on how to disable wireless synchronization on your device."
I've been getting the following message when I synchronize my address book, memo pad and tasks.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
i'm stumped and looking for some help. So my password in enabled on 9700 but I can't disable it. Disable does not show up in scroll menu and all i can do is enter password and change password.

There is an internet connection, but i do not have the password to go online (we have a Token because it is the notebook of the company i am working for). If the Desktop Software tries to get online, it does not find the connection. (Proxy) Is there a possibility to sync with outlook, without going online first. With my last Blackberry 8900 it was possible.

I installed the official 5.0.0.328 from Verizon, and now for some reason, my contact lists aren't syncing with my Gmail account. I went into the settings to try to enable it, but the option is grayed out (it says that Wireless Synchronization is Not Available). What happened, and how do I fix my problem? I appreciate any help. BTW I have two GMail accounts on my phone so I don't want to use Google Sync.

I am using Blackberry Internet Service (BIS).I need to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature from my device.Prior to the activation of the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature, I was successfully syncing my Google contacts with the Default address book on the device. Now that the AT&T Address Book has been activated, syncing with my Google contacts is no longer possible.I have not discovered how to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature. I have performed a Security Wipe on the device. It appears that it does not disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature, which reappears again.On the AT&T Blackberry Torch 9800, under Setup, there are different icons for features you want to set up. One of them is called AT&T Address Book. When you click on that icon, it begins the registration process for AT&T Address Book. You have the choice to Accept or Decline.Once accepted, all future contacts created on the device can only be listed on the AT&T Address Book contact list. I've had my BB 9700 for just over a month now, without having any issues whatsoever with the handset, my 9700 refuses to connect to my wireless home network, it finds the network, acquires an IP address, a displays the signal strength and connection speed , but looking at the Wi-Fi diagnostics on the BB there seems to be a problem with the Infrastructure, it attempts to connect and continuously fails.
I am using a Netgear DG934GT Router, running Firmware 1.03.23, all my other wireless devices (laptop, iPod Touch and PS3) connect fine to the wireless network, I have tried restarting the BlackBerry, and the router, this doesn't seem to solve the problem, I've also removed and re-added the wireless network to my BlackBerry, this has not solved my problem either. I am on T-Mobile and the BB is not unlocked or anything of that nature.
What is the easiest way to tether my berry to my laptop? I am a small business owner, and I often do work late at night in my truck, with no access to WiFi. I remember a long time ago seeing a thread on it, but I recall it being slightly complicated/using commant prompt.

I called TMO several times and they have issued several work tickets, all coming back saying there was a problem with the towers but has been resolved. I am still experiencing the same problem.
I was informed that I could get a wireless router for my home so I would get great signal. i would just have to hook it up to my computer and then whenever I am home, my phone will go through that for signal, hence giving me 5 bars as opposed to the 1 bar and constant switching between 3g, edge and gprs.
I guess I really don't understand how that works, what kind of router to by and if I will be charged anything extra from TMO for using that.
Got my new Bold 9700 and love love love it....the only problem is that my browser is super slow....even loading google can take up to a minute! I've noticed my wireless isn't that great either...gets better if I turn bluetooth off but not by much?

Is there a way to disable the lock and mute buttons on the top of the BlackBerry Bold 9700? I just received my new windshield cradle that grips it from top and bottom, and the buttons are invariable pressed accidentally for a variety of reasons. Perhaps an application that can shut them off, or some type if setting?
