At this point I am at a loss for a next step in troubleshooting.
I have a BB Bold 9000, and I can't seem to connect to BB Device Manager. It's recognized on my computer as mass storage mode, but it won't connect to Device Manager, and just says Connect your Blackberry device.
I have a Blackberry 9700 phone which has been working fine up until today when I decided to load the "Blackberry User Tools" software onto my P.C. at home. After successful installation and machine restart, I was asked to enter my "Device Password". Assuming this would be my password I set originally to lock my phone I entered it and found this didn't work. I subsequently attempted a number of other logical permutations but then realised that if I continued I would lock my phone. So I stopped (at 8/10 tries) and called my service provider "Orange UK" who advised they couldn't help me and that if I continued to enter the incorrect code, it would wipe my phone as it would automatically reset! When I connected via USB last time, it asked for me to enter the word "blackberry" which I did but when it then asked me to enter my password (which I assumed was the four digit numerical code I had originally set the phone with) it failed to work. I am now left with two further attempts. Please can anyone assist by advising me what I can do to overcome the problem without wiping my phone as the contents are very important to me.
About 3 weeks ago I had to switch from a Curve to the 9700. I used the switch device wizard to do this with no problems on my home laptop. Since then I have backed up the 9700 to my laptop but when I went to do this today, the device is not recognized by my laptop. I have tried just about everything with no luck. I thought the issue may be my cable and/or USB port but I actually connected my old Curve to the laptop and it immediately was recognized. I also have been synching the 9700 on my work PC and drove into the office today to see if I could do so..it worked without any problems. I am therefore not sure by the 9700 won't now connect to my laptop. Any ideas from anyone as to what I should be doing or what the problem is? I uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop manager application twice thinking that may be the problem but it has not resolved the issue. As an aside, I have gotten a message appearing on the 9700 saying that the USB connection does not have sufficient power to charge the device. I then acknowledge the message and it shows it is charging so I am not sure what that is...
I have had my phone for a year in August and I love it, but when I finally have time to work with and learn, it is asking for a DEVICE PASSWORD. Where do I find the password for my desktop manager?
trying to figure out what to do. Please direct me in the right direction.
Bold 9650 with Verizon will not allow me to reload BB Device Software. It displays the dreaded Error 513 -failed to install device driver, an Unspecified Error [hex code]. Popped battery, fully charged, retried 3+ times, upgraded BB Desktop software to Ver.7.1.0.32 (Bundle 33). Rebooted PC too, all to no avail. All started with trying to log into BB to get sync working again. Then hit max password attempts and some erroneous post on BB said you must allow Password File to reset and it won't delete all your files...WRONG. It sure does delete all and still no chance to reset the PW. So now I have a little brick.
I had no reason to use my email mamnager for about six months. Due to an email problem, I changed my password via computer and my phone stopped receiving email When I try to use Manage Internet Email I get the message "Connecting to email settings...." and nothing happens. A few days ago I was getting "Could not connect to server". I've tried the suggested reboot and security setting check.
Purchased the new Bold 9650 from Verizon the other day and am having trouble with the device switch wizard when I try to switch from my Storm to the Bold. When I get to the Device Selection Screen at the bottom it says "The device does not have enough space for your selections. Select fewer applications." The only things selected are default things. I've tried deselecting everything possible and I still get this message.
On connecting the 9700 to the device manager on my laptop, the opening screen is asking me for a password before I can access the manager its self !
I have entered the password that unlocks my keypad to make a call, but its telling me its incorrect ? Other than the keypad access code which is 6 digits I have not entered any other code " infact its a new phone and Im still trying to get my head around it,
Ive called the service provider and they cant help and direct me to the Blackberry website ! Ive looked throughout the site and as yet havent come up with any thing.
I just got this Blackberry on Dec 31, '09.I installed the DM software from the CD and now I was going to attempt to synchronize my phone with the desktop for the first time. When I plugged the phone in to the PC, it immediately said there were updates available and I just kept hitting Next until it apparently started the 12-step update process. Now my PC has been sitting at the download step (Step 3 of 12) downloading the same module for over 30 minutes now.
I just got the new bold and i put memory card and transfered all my numbers via the DM with no problems BUT my computer wont recognize my memory card(the folder option thing that should pop up) nore will it show a folder in "My Computer".What do i need to do to get it to work?

I set up the WiFi fine but in manage connections I have my network in green beside my WiFi and a white tick to the right and its supposed to be a green checkmark. I am assuming.

Whenever I try to synch my Torch 9800 with my laptop a window pops up that says I need to instal a device manager. Background: After installing 7.0 the software always froze when I tried to synch. So I UN-installed it and installed version 6.0.1 again. WHO CAN HELP ME how to download and install that device manager.
I have installed the software today.Connecting BB to pc via usb cable, I get a choice on the BB:BB device is plugged in, select

I have tried all options, the device manager does not 'see' my BB.I have tried troubleshooting advice - turned on 'enable mass storage', still does not work, also tried different USB ports (my computer does recognise the BB in my drives) and temporarily switched of anti-vrus and firewall, to no avail.
what the hell, it's too much!! is there a way to remove at least one of them from the list? I know that it's possible to remove "USB debugging connected" but if I disable it the HTC Sync manager does not recognize my device until I enable it.
in my PC i found some error and i want to uninstall BlackBerry Device Manager 6.0, but i can because uninstallation need "BlackBerryDevice Manager_ENG.msi" (version 6).
It seems like to load any app into my BB storm 2 device you need an active internet connection in your device. I don't have internet surfing facility in my mobile. The plan I am in with my carrier allows unlimited mails and chat. Is there any way I could load apps through my PC into my device. Most apps that I tried won't allow this, they need the app link to be clicked from the device rather than from a PC?
I am trying to locate my LG G3 using ADM. I have already enabled High Accuracy settings but the ADM app on my tablet still says "Unavailable". I have Samsung N2 and N3 that can be located but not the G3. I tried to use the Mcafee Mobile Security which is the built-in AV and it was able to find my phone. I also checked that both Mcafee and ADM are device admins.
I recently purchased a Nexus 6P, which I think is an absolutely brilliant device. Despite this I would like to mess around with it behind the scenes (root, different ROMs etc). Firstly I'd like to edit build.prop.As such as I have installed the Android SDK, installed the relevant things needed such as the USB drivers and platform tools. I've enabled USB debugging in the Developer Settings and ADB works fine when the phone is in normal mode. Booting in to fastboot mode also works.
Unfortunately, when I enter Recovery mode the phone disappears from ADB devices and from Device Manager on Windows. Strangely selecting the sideload option means the device shows up in both places, but I can't use the commands I want.
I've tried various official drivers, unofficial drivers and even edited the official drivers to add my hardware ID with no luck. I'm somewhat new to modern Android so I may be missing something obvious.
I'm new to the Blackberry Forum and would really appreciate some help! I bought a new blackberry, installed the OS from the Black Berry Website, but the desktop manager had no applications on it. My blackberry did not have blackberry messenger and notepad/memopad. I was able to download blackberry messenger, and that does show up on my desktop manager now, but I haven't found a notepad/memopad to download. Can anyone offer suggestions as to how I can get a notepad on my blackberry?
