Jun 9, 2012I am still having a problem with the wifi radio turning on by itself. No real issue, just battery usage. I am unable to re-install the software (version 7) because Desktop thinks the software is the current version. I'm pretty sure a total re-installation of the software would fix it. How do I do this?

Jan 24, 2010The battery life on my phone has been amazing. HOWEVER today I had about one bar left on the battery indicator and my phone just shut off unexpectedly when I was on a phone call. I couldn't get it to turn on so I did a battery pull and it did. Then... when I turned it back on it said "Power to Low for Radio Use".I'm a newbie to the BlackBerry world so: Do our phone just shut of with no warning? Is the "Power to Low for Radio Use" a normal thing? I would think there would be some kind of low battery warning before our phone just dies.

Apr 4, 2011I have a BB Bold 9000, and it was working fine, i even updated and it worked great for months.and then last week when i tried to turn on the wifi to search for a network the phone got frozen for a few seconds and restarted it self continuously, like 4 times in a row. since then Im unable to turn the wifi on. bluetooth and service provider are working fine. Just wifi is causing troubles.I even tried to restore it to default settings using the lastest BB desktop software and no results.

Mar 31, 2010Our company was able to receive the new Bold 9900 but it seems there is an issue with activating wifi on the device. Have tried turning on Wifi, but it attempts scanning for networks then eventually fails and turns wifi off. It doesn't even list any active access points. Doing a battery pull and reset the device to factory defaults does not seem to do the trick. I am thinking it could be a defective device or perhaps a software issue.

Apr 17, 2010Whenever I put my storm2 on the charging dock at night to go to sleep, I put it into bedside mode. The problem is when I wake up the radio is off.How do I get the radio / mobile network to not turn off automatically? There are times when I need to be on call at night and I need to be able to receive calls. Also, there when I put it on the charging dock the battery is more than 50%.

Aug 21, 2010Checked the forum and did not find any on this post! Ran my battery down to 4% and radio did not turn off. Has Rim done away with this feature? Not very often i have the battery down this low, and i know it is not good for the battery. I just wanted to see if it would turn off. I plugged my phone in at 4% so I did not run the battery any lower. I thought it was at 5% that it would turn off. Is the percentage lower? Or is RADIO OFF gone?

However, after I have set up Nokia Messaging with 4 hour sync the wifi keeps turning on by itself. Even if I disconnect the active connection it turns on automatically within a couple of minutes.Nokia Messaging pops up every four hours asking if it can use the wifi. In other words, no matter what I do, wifi turns on automatically and stays on till I disconnect it after which it turns on automatically.I have updated to the latest firmware nokia had for the phone. Oct 10, 2015their N6 on Sprint where Sprint service essentially turns off whenever Wi-Fi is on. This is the only way I've been able to describe my issues with the N6. Whenever I am at home, I am usually on Wi-Fi because it works more reliably than LTE. So whenever someone calls me, the call goes straight to voicemail. I only receive a missed call notification if someone leaves a voicemail. I've been able to test this out with family members where I turn on Wi-Fi, they call me, and the call goes straight to VM. Then, I turn off Wi-Fi, they call me again, and I get the call.
Keeping LTE on all the time (and Wi-Fi off) would not be an issue but for the fact that Sprint's service notoriously sucks inside any building made of concrete (even in Manhattan). I'm not ready to switch providers because I've been grandfathered into a no-throttle unlimited everything plan where I essentially can use 5GB of data each month and pay a reasonable price. I moved to NYC recently and before lived in the D.C. area, where I lived in a house adjacent to a tower. There, I didn't mind keeping Wi-Fi off because I always had great LTE.
This is quite frustrating and it appears to be documented to some effect on Sprint's website (without a fix, of course). Sprint has now reset my network, PRL, and profile; and the only other option appears to be replacing the phone through my insurance. I'm hesitant, though, because I preordered a 6P.

2) Sickly WiFi connection. Having setup connection for some 3 months and no problem with my BT Home Hub it has decided now that it won't - at least not directly through the WEP id. It will however connect to the BTFon or Openzone!!!!!! Nothing has changed that I'm aware of but the phone seems to hang on 'getting IP address'. I've tried resetting the Home Hub, taking out the HTC battery and re-entering WEP info but nothing works. Can't connect to my own WiFi.

Dec 2, 2011I have a strange Issue with my phone Xperia X10. When I use the Internet through the Carrier (3G) for several minutes, and the battery is less then (~80%) the phone simply turns off unexpectedly for no reason. If I then try to turn on the phone it will immidiatly shut down again so quickly I dont even have time to unlock it.
I can use the phone fine, Including connecting to the Internet through WIFI, and I will not have the issue. I can also use the 3G Internet fine until I get to about 80% battery, then the phone will turn off. If I disable the Internet connection through the carrier before I get to 80% I can continue using the phone without problems and even browse the Internet through WIFI. If I connect to the 3G Internet with my battery on less the 80% the phone will Immediately shut down.
I tried doing a full reset and reinstall through the SE PC companion, but it didnt help. I also tried installing a custom ROM and chose Wolfs TW Gingerbread but it didnt help and I still have the exact same issue.

I noticed with my Lumia 920, that if it had a weak/poor WiFi signal, it would still try to use that, and apps would report a bad internet connection, even when the LTE signal was great.This same thing seems to happen with my 950. Here at work, we have no WiFi. There are some nearby, but weak. If the phone latches on to one of them Pandora will report the internet connection is bad.
So, while at work I turn off WiFi. Problem solved, right? Wrong... WiFi turns itself back on from time to time.Why can't it fallback to my LTE when WiFi is bad? Why does it turn WiFi back on on it's own? Should I report this to the Insider program?

Sep 19, 2011After a weekend of operation I tried to turn WiFi on only to have it turn itself off after 15-30 sec. It happened 3 times before I powered down and back up, that fixed the problem. It may be a memory leak as the phone had been on for 3 days, or maybe it was related to the fact that it had gotten to a low battery state over the weekend and it turned off some services to save battery and didn't turn them back on after it was charged. I have very few apps loaded and dont think thats the problem, but I did use Googles navigator this weekend for the first time since I updated to GB.

Then when I do these functions the ? mark in the wifi symbol appears and it says "wifi network available, select a preferred network" and it is now turned on. Now at first i tought it was my router, so i got another one and still the same thing. it does this not just at home but to any wifi network. im pretty sure this is a hardware related problem, however it could be software also, i have gotin noware execpet from Moto Send your phone in, so in about 2 to 3 weeks ill have it back with no way of having a phone, plus ill still have to pay at&t, second at&t have never hered of the atrix 2 having wifi problems and offered to exchange the device for my warrenty deductable of $150.00, what should i do, i would also like to here from the community to see if there are anyone else with the same problems se we can address these to Motorola and At&T.
