I recently purchased the bold 9900 ,naturally it came with the OS7.1 , however I can't seem to find the FM Radio feature that was suppose to be part of this new OS...Help, am I suppose to download something else or ...?

I'm running android version 5.1.1
I've been using the speech to text feature on my phone ever since I first got it 6 months ago.
However, today I opened my messaging app (stock) and I was looking for the little microphone key beside the space bar, and it's missing.
I use Google keyboard and I haven't changed any settings. The speech to text feature is literally non existent now.
I've reinstalled Google keyboard, played around with all the settings, but I just can't figure out why its gone.
When a reminder on a calender topic is shown on the display, it is only possible to say "Later" or "Show".
It would be fabulous, if it would be possible either to set a different "later"-time (propose 10 Minute and give possibility to change to e.g. 2:00 or 24:00) or to give a possibility to EDIT the shown calender item to set a new reminding time or day.
E72 used to support sending via email option immediately after capturing a picture by the camera. Now when I select 'send' option after capturing the picture, I do not see any option to send via email, only see,
Via message
Via bluetooth
Upload
If I select 'Message' its MMS option. Can some one confirm if this feature was changed after the recent Fw 052.005 ? Is it a bug with the new Email 3.09?My phone has both these updates( Fw05.005 & 3.09).
I opted for Neo V because it had front facing camera for video calling. But after my purchase i came to know that the sony store guy fooled me. After the complaint against him I was being told from the Sony store that the ICS update would include the video calling facility through our operator networks. But, after the update to ICS i came to know that the feature is still missing. So, are the xperia phone getting the video calling feature or not?

I tried to check the box for Wifi in 'Manage Connections' and I see just Mobile Network and Bluetooth as the only options.
Then I tried the Setup folder where you are supposes to have a wifi icon and it wasn't there.
Just went back to the 1020, is there a way for the glance screen not be seen unless I wave my hand over the phone or did they remove that feature? For some reason I can't find it in the settings, just the option to leave it on for 15 min.

As a side note, I called sprint, and they told me it was removed with the last update. That doesn't make any sense to me.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe hardware is in the phone, but Moto opts to not include an FM Radio app. Sure, they load it up with BLOATWARE, but fail to include this very usable app.I download an .apk file, and walla, I have the same radio that I had on my X. I reallize that some people may not find the need for an app like this, but I use it at my health club all the time. The TV's that are around the treadmills each broadcast a separate frequency should you wish to listen. In addition, God forbid we loose cell service, it is always nice to have a radio for emergency purposes.

Not very often i have the battery down this low, and i know it is not good for the battery. I just wanted to see if it would turn off. I plugged my phone in at 4% so I did not run the battery any lower. I thought it was at 5% that it would turn off. Is the percentage lower? Or is RADIO OFF gone?

For example, if you highlight the Games folder and press the Blackberry options, one Tour can choose "edit folder" and pick a new Icon. The other Tour mine is missing that choice. Any fix? If I create my own folder, I have the feature, but not for my Games, Applications and other folder that were there in the old OS.

View 13 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to revert back to the old way of unlocking the bold, like from early 5.0 OS? like when you were supposed to hold * and the call button, because I absolutely despise this new mute button procedure and my mute button on my bold is already becoming unresponsive.Basically I'm wondering if perhaps there's a application that can switch them or maybe even a way to configure a different button on my bold to mute because as it is the default button (top left of the bold) is pretty much becoming unresponsive on my phone and I don't really want to get locked out.

Until very recently I'd been successfully using the Mobile Hotspot feature with no problem at all (ipad, laptop etc. - ironically not working with the Playbook but that's another story). In the last week or so I am suddenly no longer even able to switch it on the feature. If I try and select the checkbox box next to Mobile Hotspot I see the spinning wheel (the green circle one sees whenever one first checks any of the network connection boxes), which then just disappears. Any ideas? I'm hoping to avoid the usual Kafkaesque - speak to your operator vs. speak to RIM scenario.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI found out how to lock the keypad on the 9700 after this new screwy update to the 9700.To lock keypad press and hold "A" for 1-2 seconds or push the "lock button" at top left edge of phone.To unlock the keypad go to the very top left corner ridge on the very top of the phone and press the "lock" button.Will take some getting used to but will prevent unwanted calls while holstered or in purse.The best way I found to lock keypad without a password.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI've had the phone for about a week and I absolutely love it except that at seemingly random moments my phone will block the viewing of any and all of my SMS messages saying "Content protection is enabled". It will show up at the beginning of newly received messages and even in the middle of real-time conversations between someone else and I and then I have to wait for the message to "go away" so I can read what the response was and continue the conversation. Is it something I'm doing? A default phone feature? Is anyone else experiencing this issue or at least know how to solve it?
