BB Bold :: Cannot Get The Internet Service To Work?
Oct 17, 2012I bought a BB Bold 9700 from eBay, and I cannot get the BB internet service to work.
I do have a data plan that works with BIS. Before this i used this sim with an Android phone, hat worked just fine.And I have tried this sim on an Curve 8320, and on this one works just fine.I use a prepay card from Vodafone DE.I called the customer service from Vodafone and they've told me that it takes 3 days to activate this service (even though it worked on the 8320 imediatly).The 3 days have past, and nothing.A guy from a Vodafone shop in Germany, told me that the phone has been pre-registered before by someone else, and that I should contact Blackberry Support, but this guy didn't seem to know what is talking about.
BB Bold :: Service Bars Show Up, But Phone Doesn't Work?
Jan 4, 2012The phone shows 3g and full bars of service, but whenever I try to call with it, there's no sound until the "call failed' tone goes. No ringing, nothing. The tone plays fine, as do music and videos, but texts and calls cannot be sent or received. Considering it got wet recently (I stuck in rice for a few days), there may be some corrosion or something.

When I switch the SIM card the handset ask for blackberry ID and password, on entering the details it says invalid Blackberry ID. Can I just use another BB handset and use the new SIM to route all my emails and BB messenger to the new handset.

Oct 3, 2010I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and tried to use the Update Service to get the latest firmware for my phone, but after the new phone software was downloaded and started to install onto my phone it only got to a few milimetres of completing before it threw out an error saying that that it couldn't install the new software!!Now my phone doesn't want to work anymore! Every time I start up the phone it just shows the x10 picture with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle!

Mar 11, 2010This week I left an employer to go to another one. I have not started with the new one yet. I have a personal BB Curve 8900 with work email and one personal email on it. This evening I got the email from the old employer IT dept that they had terminated the work email and BB BES service. Nearly simultaneously, I lost all my personal contacts (which were downloaded off my old flip phone when I got the BB, not from the employer), my personal email account, my calendar, and the memopad documents I had saved for the last 7 months. The phone also reset, removed my password, reset the ringtone, reset the bluetooth settings for my PLT510, and who knows what else. The only evidence that this was still my phone was that my pictures and .mp3s are still there. when an employer terminates blackberry service, is it possible for them to essentially wipe your blackberry clean without your knowledge or consent? If so, how can you set it so that doesn't happen again? If not, is it possible that it is just a huge, inconvenient coincidence, and my BB is experience a major technical difficulty?

Apr 25, 2012When I use my iphone4 as a hotspot, I run through all the required settings but my computer does not recognized my iphone4. I check the signal which has 5 bars and AT&T then an "E".. I expected to see a 3G so I reset the system and still received an "E". So my deduction is that the Hotspot will not work without a 3G signal.

May 2, 2011When I try to access web sites from the Blackberry browser I get the "Unable to connect to the selected mobile data service. Please try again later" message. This happens whether connected through the T-Mobile network or Wi-fi.When I change the browser settings to the T-Mobile browser I am able to access web site just fine. However I would prefer to use the Blackberry browser because not all pages load correctly with the T-Mobile browser.
I have an active data plan and am connected to an enterprise server. My outlook and webmail e-mails work so I don't think it's a problem with my carrier. I've tried a battery pull, re-sending my service books, etc without luck.I think the problem may have started after connecting to my desktop for the first time in about a year, but I'm not completely certain. T-Mobile support and IT administrator have been no help.

Feb 25, 2010I recently got a BB bold that's unlocked from ATT. I do not have the Blackberry plan, I only have T-zones. I am able to surf the web and such using opera mini. All my weather and internet radio applications work fine. The only thing I can not get to work is MMS. I can receive but not send. Says no mms service book.I found a generic T-zones service book that I installed to the phone using DM. Unfortunately the service book does not contain the MMS book. Where can I find or add this service book? There must be a way. Is is possible for someone else to send me their service book and have that work?

Jun 29, 2011i have got a blackberry bold 9700 and ever since i upgraded to os 6 official download from blackberry website i have been having problems calling and receiving calls, it says no service currently available. i have a strong signal so that aint the problem and also when i put my vodafone sim into another device it is working fine. however i have downgraded and still no use. i have contacted vodafone and they said they cannot do much about, i took it to my local mobile repair store and the guy their thought it was blocked but my BIS works (blackberry internet service) which means my phone is not blocked because i can chat with my friends on the blackberry messenger. this has become a big problem because i mainly use my blackberry for calling.

Sep 24, 2011I bought a BB Bold 9900 in Dubai (one week ago), and returned home to China where I use a China Unicom service (WCDMA) - SIM card previously in iPhone4. The phone works (phone calls, SMS, internet etc). But, when I attempt to perfrom the Blackberry IS Sign In (previously created on PC), I get message that username/password invalid. If I attempt to create a new Username/PW using the phone I get the following message: "Unable to connect to the Blackberry ID service. Please connect to the wireless network and try again"
P.S. why doesn't outdent work in this massage posting software - indent works?!

Feb 28, 2010I sold my at&t bold 9700 and bought a t-mobile version, unlocked it and am using it on at&t and I don't have to pay the ridiculous price of 30 per month for internet service on my phone. really I only need the phone for texting, phone calls listening to music and taking some pictures anywayz. Till phone carriers lower their prices. I will never pay 30 a month for smart phone internet again.

Oct 3, 2011I just got a Blackberry Bold 9000 in my hands so after the first set up i had to do i tried to install blackberry app world via WiFi. It didn't work. I had to download from the site to my PC Install Desktop Manager and after that finally after a long time of searching i installed blackberry app world on my device. Worked nice and i installed Bolt browser (one of the apps). After this though i tried to access again the App world and a pop-up message appears that says "The data service is not oerational". I searched google a bit and many guys say that you need a data plan with your provider to download apps. The problem is that i downloaded Bolt with WiFi internet access and having "Mobile Network - Off" when i did it but i cannot do it again.
