i have never pre-ordered a phone before, how dose this work? when june 17th pre-ordering starts do i sign up for the AT&T service at the same time? or do i wait till i get the phone delivered? i want to port my phone number from Verizon and am not sure how this pre-ordering will work regarding getting service.

I have a line with ATT right now for my iphone (1 year left on contract) and I want to take this number and use it for a new phone on Verizon.
Do I have to cancel my ATT contract in order to do that?
I already have a Verizon account (one line on a family plan) and ideally, I would just switch numbers (Verizon number is moved to ATT and vice versa).
Can I do this without canceling any contracts (i.e. keep my unlimited data plan with ATT & NOT pay ETF)?
My sister is on Sprint right now, and is getting an iPhone.
Can Apple create a new AT&T account and port her number for her?
I'm assuming that when she preorders, she will have to select for in-store pickup, correct?
(Actually, when I preorder for her, as she is a NYC teacher and will not be home til after 5 or 6, and does not have reliable internet access at her school)

I can not charge my phone and if I 'd like to charge it,I need to push charging cable a little bit to top of USB port. When I do that it charges but this action may occur negative consequences in the long term and also headphone jack has the same problem. Btw, phone has not take any impacts or excessive using.Why did this happen and how I fix it.

After dialing Verizon *611 or when calling voicemail, the number keypad is disabled and the numbers are gone or moved to different locations so I can not enter PIN. I am sure it is a software issue. Tried a hard reset with no luck. VZ authorized retailer believes he can fix this problem by wiping clean and reinstalling one app at a time. Has anyone else had same problem and any luck with a fix?

I am ready to switch to Cricket anyways because I'm tired of paying $90 month for verizon when I can get the same stuff from Cricket for half, but I'm dreading both buying a Cricket phone and losing my Omnia (i900). Even when I transferred numbers from my Envy to my Blackberry a lot of the contacts went under "Work" rather than "Mobil".How can I change it so that by default it comes up under mobile (since that's the majority of numbers I add to my contacts)?Also, is there a way to easily switch the classification of a number?
