Motorola Droid :: A855 Screen Lit Up Black When Turned On
My droid A855 shows a lit up black screen when powered on. When it finishes powering on, its still black. The Motorola logo and the droid eye don't appear while its powering on either. Now I can raise the volume, receive messages and phone calls, I just can't see the images at all; its all black. The back, home, menu, and search buttons at the bottom of the screen still light up white and work as well as the keypad. I turned it off and on and took out the battery about 8 times. I never dropped it or got it wet. I've had it for two years already so I guess the warranty is up. It just randomly froze and went black while i was texting my friend.

Motorola :: Ported Number On Verizon KRZR With Alltel Firmware
I've had my Verizon KRZR with Alltel firmware working for a couple weeks now, and today I decided to port a number from another carrier. I am currently located in Canada and am using the plan that includes Canada (phone is on Extended Network). I was under the impression that there were some steps that need to be taken after porting in a number to existing equipment, but I have no info on what those steps are. A while after I made the call and did the port, my phone stopped being able to make calls as expected ("your phone is not activated" message). However, when I call Verizon they say my phone was activated today, 10/9/07. I have used QPST Service Programming to edit the MIN in my phone to reflect the new number. Is there anything else I need to do, or should I just wait until tomorrow and see if it magically starts working?

I am from Canada and purchased a USA Verizon Xoom 3G. Bell and Telus seem to run on the exact same network, but I am unable to get things up and running with them as the Xoom just cant "activate". The neetwork providers are asking if there is a way to change the APN setting in the Xoom as it appears to be searching for the Verizon Network. How can you do this as my Xoom only has a Home/Automatic setting under Mobile. There does not appear to be any manual setting

Motorola Droid 3 :: Verizon Wireless Charger For D3?
The back replaces the (extended) battery cover and it a bit thicker and heavier but not bad at all. It fits well on the phone, no issues and the back of the phone remains flat (no uneven raised portions on the cover). The cover connects to the four charing pins on the back of the phone (under the cover) so you don't need any cables that use the usb port as on some of the third party wireless phone chargers.Setup was as simple as changing the back of the phone, powering the charging pad and laying the phone on the pad. I didn't time how long it too to charge but when my phone was down 50% it didn't seem longer than the usb charger. There is an indicator on the pad that lets you know when the phone is not charging (off or not properly placed on the pad), charging or fully charged and an audible that sounds when you place the phone correctly on the pad. You can feel when the phone is correctly placed as if there's a magnet in the pad and phone back. The bottom of the phone overhands the pad by about 1/2 inch. I was planning to get a picture frame type holder to prop up the pad so the phone can be easily viewed on my desk. With the phone being longer than the pad, it might not work as well as I wanted but I can probably still do it in landscape mode.

Motorola Droid X2 :: How To Disable Verizon Backup Assistant
I only use the contacts synched from my Google account on my phone, so I have absolutely no need for Verizon's "Backup Assistant" - yet it's running on my phone anyway and I don't know how to disable it (short of killing it from a task manager - which I've read is not a good idea). When I go to Menu->Manage Apps->Running, I see "Backup Assistant" and another application with the same icon named "Sync Service" both running - using 1.6MB and 2.7MB of RAM respectively. It doesn't give you the option of uninstalling it from the app drawer like other apps do. Is there a way to disable it without rooting the phone?

Motorola Droid Razr HD :: Disabling Verizon Apps App?
Verizon was making in JB was to remove their 'Verizon App' bloatware (in exchange for a boatload of Google bloatware). I had it disabled in ICS, but after the JB update (MAXX HD), not only is it still there, now it won't allow "Disable." It does allow a "Force Stop" if it's running, but no disable. The only real effect is take up a valuable icon spot on my app page, but since no one actually uses the Verizon app store, why even include it, much less put a firewall around it?

I have looked on the phone to try and see these settings for the LED color and cannot find a setting. Is there somewhere to view/change this setting or is this just standard with the phone ?

Motorola Droid Razr M :: How To Switch From 4G To CDMA Mode Verizon
how to switch from 4G to CDMA mode verizon steps are listed below for verizon customers only with 4G Devices with " ICS or Jelly Bean " how to switch from 4G to CDMA mode verizon devices. For whatever reason, Verizon and Motorola have removed the option under Mobile Network Settings to switch to "CDMA Only" in the Ice Cream Sandwich update that is headed to RAZRs over the next few days. For anyone that doesn't have a RAZR MAXX, this is a problem, as LTE destroys batteries faster than you can charge them. In place of the former "CDMA Only" option is a "Global" feature for those that travel the world. Why they didn't leave the old option and simply add "Global" to the list is a great mystery, but don't worry, we have a way to get you onto 3G and saving batteries in just a few steps.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Software Update Text Message From Verizon
Airtime FREE VZW software update! Due to network changes you must dial *228 in VZW coverage area, press SEND & choose Option 1 to reprogram phone.I tried it for kicks. It won't let you on a 4G device with a SIM card. The message tells me "SIM card has activated your service and updated your phone's roaming capabilities."So I guess with the SIM we no longer have to update roaming using *228 as in the past. I am guessing Verizon sent the message by mistake.

My Verizon Data App stopped letting me log in and after getting no response as to what might be wrong, I decided to just delete the app and then reinstall it on my homepage. After I deleted it, I went to all Apps and it's not there! So is there a way to Undo a delete or does anyone know how I can go about getting back the app that tells me how much of my data I've used?

Motorola Droid :: Cannot Cutomize The Voicemail Number?
By default, calling voicemail dials *86. On my last several phones, I was able to program in a pause and my password. Well, I put that information in, but everytime I press the voicemail button, it only dials *86. When I check my settings, my information is there, but it just won't dial that. Is there somewhere else that I need to enter the information?
