It takes me 3-4 times as long to compose a text or e-mail because it is almost impossible to hit the right key or not hit two at the same time. there any way to get my old keyboard back? It was easy to use. What were the programmers thinking when they downsized an already small keyboard?

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I was using my x10 when it was only 1.6, when you typed a letter using the android keyboard, it would give multiple word suggestions (ie. i - is, it, in, etc.) which helped a lot. But with 2.1, if I turn it's word suggestions, it only provides me with proper names or contact names.Any way to allow 2.1 to use word suggestions other than these proper/contact names? I don't like the default keyboard.

It only really happens in the Chrome browser; I can type just fine in other apps (I had to type this in Memos then copy/paste into Chrome). I've cleared the data & cache multiple times, to no avail.

However, under "Settings - Language&Keyboard" there is NO menu item for Android keyboard.... As it appears, she uses the standard T3 enty mode and simple does not like the recommended words. There is no way to set it back now and I am thinking about playing it back to 1.6 despite the advantages coming with it.
Is there another way to change this setting?
I recently used someone's HTC One with dedicated number keys and was curious how to enable that. I exhausted every option on phone and even checked some of the popular apps like SwiftKey and nothing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a new xperia ray and updated it to the latest update(android 4.0.4 build number 4.1.B.0.431) within the same day and I didn't have much experience with GB. But after the update it randomly restarts several times during the day even I left phone without any activity. But I want to highlight I used Sony PC Companion to update the firmware and during the update process I left the sim card within it and several times it failed the update with no exact error code but it said update failed kind a thing. But I think I finally figured out the reason for that pc companion related problem because my OS was windows 8 consumer preview. So I tried the update using windows 7 and it went properly.

When I got a voicemail notification, but when I tried to access my voicemail from the notification it said I hadn't setup my voicemail number. that was funny because it was setup before the Update. Then when I went into settings and tried to setup my voicemail access number - it would not save it .
I am on O2 in the UK and the voicemail access number is 901

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter the software update on my Sony Xperia Ray to android-version 4.0.4 Build-number 4.1.B.0.431 it is not possible to connect to my Bluetooth car kit.I'm using a Opel Corsa Touch & Go. This car audio & navigation system can be used as car kit with Bluetooth telephones.To solve the problem Opel has updated the software in the Opel Corsa Touch & Go but without success for my on the Sony Xperia Ray and my wife's Sony Xperia Neo V.It works fine with the Apple iPad and the HTC One without any problem.So I guess Sony added some extra software to the Android OS that corrupts the Bluetooth connection.First I start the car kit with the option pairing. The car kit pups-up with a mesage that the phone has to connect with pin code 9876.Then I start pairing from my phone connecting to the car kit. But there is no dialog box shown on my Sony Xperia phone where I can type in the pin-code. The car kit returns immediately with the message "unable to connect, wrong pin code".On a iPad a dialog is shown to fill in the pin-code.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?
i just updated my xperia x10 software yesterday & instaed of showing number, it shows korean letter at the bottom left hand corner of the keyboard. how do i change it back to numbers?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo here's the issue. I bought a KS360 phone (unlocked) off of ebay and it's great...except one small issue. The keyboard is marked as a QWERTY keyboard but when I go to type, the 'a' and 'q' and 'w' and 'z' are switched around, making the phone a AZERTY phone. Is there any way to fix this problem? The phone's programming says it's Belgium, which is why the phone has been programmed for an AZERTY layout (...I'm guessing). Is there any way to make the phone work as the QWERTY keyboard intended? I'm new at this, so if messing around with flashing/inner workings of the phone is involved in the solution, can someone walk me through it so I don't ruin the phone?
