Blackberry service is not working on my storm 2 9550 I tried every thing but the service still wont work. I bought it through internet it's an unlocked Verizon storm 2 9550 and am using it on Zain-Jordan carrier. when I called my service provider they told me that probably verizon locks the data service and you need to unlock it, is that possible? And if that correct how can I fix the problem.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm having problem with my storm phone ever since it was dropped in water. I left it to dry for a week. Since then I replaced my battery and the phone came on with the clock and then the screen showed up. and could not do anything. Then the screen went black. Now when I try to recharge it only a green light appears and nothing else. Did I kill my battery and is the phone no longer good or it's just my screen and i can replace it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased an unlocked BB Storm 2 (original Verizon USA) to use in India. It can only receive SMS on Vodafone India network. No incoming-outgoing call. It works fine on Airtel, Idea etc in India. Vodafone India blames the phone and the phone vendor (in USA) blames the network. I used another Vodafone SIM also - did not work.

However, I have a question: Can the BlackBerry be activated with another service provider? Is it useless after i reported? Can I try to contact RIM and lock IMEI and PIN for any kind of future use? I have all that information.

Recently, because of their 3G I got a BSNL sim with bb service and I am trying to use the same handset on their network. It is not registering with the bb network. I am not able to send and receive text messages too. I can not browse in default browser, but can browse with Bolt. I can not use Appworld either. BSNL people have said that it is properly set up at their end. Is there anything I can do to be on bsnl bb service?

View 2 Replies View Relatedrecently got moved to kuwait and wanted to keep using my blackberry storm 2. so i got the unlock code and unlocked it. after that i got a pre-paid SIM and phone and sms works great, connected to 3g and everything but anytime i try to use something that requires internet it says i need a wifi connection to do that. when i got the pre-paid the guy at the phone shop said it would work with blackberry internet and email. is there a setting i'm missing?

I found a fix to always get an EDGE and did it. it worked the first time and was fine for a few months but then it stopped working so I did it again. When I did my phone stopped having any data service. There are no entries in the host routing table..Ive reregistered my device a million times and its not working. It is because there are no email service on my service book. Even I add or remove email in BIS account serveral time and register for host routng table and clear service book. I bought a BB Bold 9700 from eBay, and I cannot get the BB internet service to work.
I do have a data plan that works with BIS. Before this i used this sim with an Android phone, hat worked just fine.And I have tried this sim on an Curve 8320, and on this one works just fine.I use a prepay card from Vodafone DE.I called the customer service from Vodafone and they've told me that it takes 3 days to activate this service (even though it worked on the 8320 imediatly).The 3 days have past, and nothing.A guy from a Vodafone shop in Germany, told me that the phone has been pre-registered before by someone else, and that I should contact Blackberry Support, but this guy didn't seem to know what is talking about.
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and tried to use the Update Service to get the latest firmware for my phone, but after the new phone software was downloaded and started to install onto my phone it only got to a few milimetres of completing before it threw out an error saying that that it couldn't install the new software!!Now my phone doesn't want to work anymore! View 1 Replies View RelatedThis week I left an employer to go to another one. I have not started with the new one yet. I have a personal BB Curve 8900 with work email and one personal email on it. This evening I got the email from the old employer IT dept that they had terminated the work email and BB BES service. Nearly simultaneously, I lost all my personal contacts (which were downloaded off my old flip phone when I got the BB, not from the employer), my personal email account, my calendar, and the memopad documents I had saved for the last 7 months. The phone also reset, removed my password, reset the ringtone, reset the bluetooth settings for my PLT510, and who knows what else. The only evidence that this was still my phone was that my pictures and .mp3s are still there. when an employer terminates blackberry service, is it possible for them to essentially wipe your blackberry clean without your knowledge or consent? If so, how can you set it so that doesn't happen again? If not, is it possible that it is just a huge, inconvenient coincidence, and my BB is experience a major technical difficulty?

The tone plays fine, as do music and videos, but texts and calls cannot be sent or received. When I use my iphone4 as a hotspot, I run through all the required settings but my computer does not recognized my iphone4. I check the signal which has 5 bars and AT&T then an "E".. I expected to see a 3G so I reset the system and still received an "E". So my deduction is that the Hotspot will not work without a 3G signal.
