Per instructions I should select - Set up - Email accounts - and then Internet accounts, but unfortunately when I select Email accounts it only shows me Enterprise Email account set up not Internet emails account set up , per instructions it should show me both options
View 6 Replies View RelatedNeither Verizon nor Numericable, my provider in France, seem to be able to offer any tech support beyond telling me to pull the battery, toggle connections on and off, etc. I am not a techie by any stretch of the imagination, so I probably won't understand any jargon or acronyms you use in your replies, and will similarly need more detailed instructions on how to access things within my device (e.g., "just go to the host routing table!" won't mean anything to me).
1. I have a Verizon branded Bold 9650. I have unlocked it so that it is able to make/receive phone calls and texts by having Verizon provide me with the MEP code.
2. I have an unlimited data and Blackberry internet plan with Numericable, who contracts their 3G service through Bouygues. I am 100% sure of my plan, but whenever I try to open my browser, it tells me that "Browsing over the cellular network is not included as part of your current service plan. To browse the web you must use Wifi or contact your service provider to change your service plan".
3. I plan to crosspost this on the Blackberry France forums and the Crackberry forums. I hope this isn't bad manners, but I just want to get this resolved as soon as possible.
4. I have browsed other solutions but a lot of them seem to require a Windows computer to connect the Blackberry to. I unfortunately only have a Mac.
5. I've been waiting for over a week for something to change - Numericable at first told me that 'it takes 5 days to register on the network' and then to await a call from tech support that never came.
6. I would ideally like to be able to use this phone whenever I go back to the States in 7 months, so I don't want to mod it in an way that makes it permanently unusable on the Verizon network.
I have just received a new bold 9780 and it is only set up for enterprise email and despite repeated calls tom my handset provider we cant seem to get it to allow me to set up my normanl internet email accounts?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI got the new Bold 9900 a couple of weeks ago, and everything was working fine, but then a couple of days ago, everything just seemed to stop working. On BBM, whenever I try to send a message, the little red clock just appears, and I'm not seeing anybody's recent updates. My emails aren't coming through & none of the internet based apps are working. I've tried the hard reboot and reinstalling all the apps but nothing has worked.I've also done the Host Routing Table registration stuff but have not recieved any message. When I click on the service staus option, under the Blackberry Enterprise Service option, it says 'not connected'.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was able to use Internet Mail accounts, before installing BES (by accident) on my BlackBerry Bold 9780 v6.0.After performing a factory reset and wiping my BB, (to get rid of BES), email is not working anymore.When going to Setup --> Email account --> Internet Mail account --> I can not Activate the email accounts (activate button is greyed out), nor can I remove them.

View 6 Replies View Related9700 Rogers wireless V5.0. The only option available for e-mail in setup is "I want to use a work email account with BES" and it's pre-checked. I've searched through the knowledge base and deleted CMIME and CICAL from the service book. However I'm running Desktop 6.0 (latest version) on Windows 7, and the knowledge base instructions for change at the desktop are only for versions 3 through 5. I can't find any for V6. So far no change to the device setup menu.

I go in to Setup > Email Accounts and tap/click on Internet Mail Account, however it does nothing. I have previously used this feature to add/amend email details. It allows me to click on Enterprise Account, but when I click on Internet Mail Account nothing happens. Have rebooted device a couple of times and get the same problem.

Today I got a new handset and after restoring all my backup and carrying out an enterprise activation on my work Lotus Notes email account I tried to reactivate my hotmail and gmail accounts on the phone.
When I tried (try) to set up these accounts the following happens:
1. I go to the E-mail settings icon on the device.
2. The following message is what I am shown on the screen:
"A new BlackBerry device has been detected. You must move your e-mails accounts to recieve e-mail on this device. To move an e-mail account, you will need to type the e-mail account password. At least one e-mail account must be moved to set up e-mail on this device." (This is the message displayed)
When i try to set up my email it only gives me the enterprise setup? i want to register 2 hotmail email adresses but i only have wifi access i do not have BB unlimited internet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Bold9700 and am trying to set it up and failing completely. Part of this may be because I am in Costa Rica. The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi just purchased a replacement bb bold 9000 off ebay (it's an unlocked at&t handset that i bought after my bb bold got stolen... total bummer) and it was working fine all week up until last night when it stopped being able to handle incoming and outgoing calls and texts. The internet and email functions still work which is very peculiar. also some further info, when i put my sim card into another handset (in this case a nokia e65) all my normal call functions work and when i put another sim card in the bold the same thing happens (when i try to make a call it instantly pops up with a call failed warning). another thing is the bold shows full service coverage... currently the bold about shows... v4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247) im on australia and for some reason i cant update the os to v5

I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."

So today my email suddenly stopped working. I tried going into email settings but then i get the error message "your device had a problem connecting to the server" and when i try to use my browser i get "unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. if the problem persists please contact your service provider".I've tried taking the battery out, i've tried option > advanced options > host routing table > register now. On July 25 th my internet connection stopped working. My network provider says they did a network upgrade and all foreign phones are now unable to connect to the internet. They say their is nothing that they can do for me. Just before my ph was disconnected I tried to download the Blackberry App World Version 3.1.4.25 Could this have caused the problem?

As of now, I do not have any problems with those but I just can't find the option to set up my internet email.
