Dec 10, 2011after i changed teh carrier provider, my internet emails (yahoo,...etc.) are not accessible & setup email returns the message :internet service account deactivated..Is this something from the service provider or from blackberry; any actions to be done from my side?

Feb 27, 2010just purchased my new phone and tried to use ovi maps but as soon as i went on there it says No internet connection go to tool then go online. So that's what I did and it just went back to the same thing I really don't know how to work it.

Jul 31, 2010I have a Nokia 5230 which I have updated the maps via Ovi suite on my PC,. However when I go to Ovi maps on my phone it always says connection failed, if I try to go to my location I get the red dot flashing searching for position then will go solid for a short while and start to flash again, it gives my location about 1 mile from where I am. Also from the OVI maps screen if I try to sign into my Nokia accost,(To get A-GPS I think) I get the message saying this requires you to go online, 'yes' brings up the connection failed message. I can browse the internet and go to face book etc. With no problems.

Jun 19, 2010I just bought a new n97 mini through vodafone in aus. I got it unlocked so i could put my optus sim in.I downloaded the ovi maps application and went to use it. The ovi maps app works with my wlan internet at home but when I try to use my 3G optus network internet it says "connection unavailable- please try again"?
I can access my 3G optus network for all other internet purposes on my phone except ovi maps. What is wrong with it?

May 19, 2010I have downloaded and installed the latest Nokia OVI Suite. My phone (E72 - 1, ver 031.023) connects perfectly etc. My problem is that I want to install the latest ovi maps for my phone. Now, according to OVI Suite, my phone has "ALL" maps on it. But I cant see them (when accessing GPS)
Secondly, OVI Suite tells me: your computer is not connected to then internet, when I clearly am. Are there any settings I need to adjust so that the program "Sees" my connection? I cannot connect thorugh my device, as it always tells me: Unable to establish network connection. Please check that your settings are correct etc..." what settings? where do I adjust these?

Apr 15, 2010I've recently installed the latest, free OVI maps for E71 but it still connects to the internet using my t-mobile data connection.I've set the Internet connection to offline, default accesspoint to "search for WLAN" and roaming warning to on. Futhermore synchronisation is set to manual.But it still connects to internet using the t-mobile internet connection and even though it's just a few kilobytes it can cost me money if I'm outside the country.This behaviour is the same as the previous version. I used it in Thailand and downloaded the Thailand map before and set the application to offline. When I wanted to know my position it connected to the internet without even asking.I discovered the connections by accident (looking at the logs) after two weeks and it cost me about 18 euros. Even though no more than 20 Kb per day was sent (and received) by default at least 200 Kb is billed per day if a connection is made.The only way to avoid the connections being made was to set the phone to flight/off-line modus though detection of my position was a lot slower so I suspect the connections are made for a rough position detection using the mobile connection points.Though now I see mainly brief connections out are made they're still connections and I would like to be able to disable it without loosing my main-phone-function (receiving phone calls).

Feb 9, 2010Recently upgraded phone software and maps - everything works fine except when activating Ovi Maps at which point I'm prompted to 'Go online' which when prompted, the phone confirms no internet connection - tools online - and I get the message on screen Internet Usage disabled.Everything else installed on the phone works fine - including all the internet related software, email , facebook etc.Appreciate that others may be having same problem as we carried out same upgrades on second phone in the house last night and Same problem

Jan 21, 2010So I've just downloaded the new free Ovi Maps for my 5800 and it's pretty nice, except for one thing: even when I set the connection to offline it still connects to the Internet every time the app is started (which, even though the app is fullscreen is visible when, for example you go into the settings screen). It seems though that after a minute or so it disconnects, but still, the old Maps app asked on startup whether to connect, this one just does without asking every time it's started.Am I missing some hidden setting?

Jan 5, 2010i've recently started having problems with ovi maps and it's internet settings. i'm not sure when the problem started but whenever i try to access internet settings (because i want to change my connection from wifi to wap) the program just exits back to the nokia menu however all the other menus work fine. i've made a short video to show you exactly what i mean.

as you can see as soon as i press to access the internet menu it kicks me out, but i can access the navigation tab just fine then i tried to go accross to internet settings and it kicks me out again. i have already tried deleting cities folder and .qf file to no avail. i have also tried to go offline before accessing internet settings which didn't work either. i even installed nokia maps 2.0 which wasn't for this phone but installed just wouldn't work then reinstalled ovi 3 to no avail either!

1. Can I see what country maps I have downloaded & saved on my N97 anywhere?
2. Whenever I went on the internet with my N95, I had a option how I wished to connect - my netgear router or Mobile web etc.
With N97, It chooses which one I have set on priority, but sometimes I dont want that one. Can I have it so that it asks me everytime I connect like N95?

Dec 10, 2014I have an iPhone 4S with 8 Gig memory, 1.1 Gig currently free.  I recently converted to ios 8.1.2. Subsequently, the phone has stopped working on my wireless network, neither receiving or sending email, nor connecting to the internet. The router diagram shows that I am connected via WiFi, but when I try either of these functions, I simply get into a continuous loop.Â
I have already attempted this with and without connection to the iCloud drive, rebooting everything (router, modem, iMac, iPhone). I have one other iPhone (same specs) and an iPad mini, that both work on the network. The iPhone giving me the problems works fine on the Verizon network and on other WiFi networks.Â

Aug 4, 2010I had to hard reset my brand new E72 due to problems wtih ovi maps. Now I have resolved the problem with the maps; I cannot set up my email account. This is frustrating because the email were working before. When I follow the set up wizard, I give my userid and then password, press okay then nothing happens no error message.

Jan 15, 2012Neither Verizon nor Numericable, my provider in France, seem to be able to offer any tech support beyond telling me to pull the battery, toggle connections on and off, etc. I am not a techie by any stretch of the imagination, so I probably won't understand any jargon or acronyms you use in your replies, and will similarly need more detailed instructions on how to access things within my device (e.g., "just go to the host routing table!" won't mean anything to me).
1. I have a Verizon branded Bold 9650. I have unlocked it so that it is able to make/receive phone calls and texts by having Verizon provide me with the MEP code.
2. I have an unlimited data and Blackberry internet plan with Numericable, who contracts their 3G service through Bouygues. I am 100% sure of my plan, but whenever I try to open my browser, it tells me that "Browsing over the cellular network is not included as part of your current service plan. To browse the web you must use Wifi or contact your service provider to change your service plan".
3. I plan to crosspost this on the Blackberry France forums and the Crackberry forums. I hope this isn't bad manners, but I just want to get this resolved as soon as possible.
4. I have browsed other solutions but a lot of them seem to require a Windows computer to connect the Blackberry to. I unfortunately only have a Mac.
5. I've been waiting for over a week for something to change - Numericable at first told me that 'it takes 5 days to register on the network' and then to await a call from tech support that never came.
6. I would ideally like to be able to use this phone whenever I go back to the States in 7 months, so I don't want to mod it in an way that makes it permanently unusable on the Verizon network.
