Tried to install [URL]and when I do it says my owner info is not set up and to go to Applications/options/owner. When I go to the home screen, and click the menu, then options, it gives me settings for Home Scren Preferences. But there are no owner options. Just home screen preferences. I can make and receive calls and download apps so I'm confused by what could be causing all of this.
View 9 RepliesI just installed the latest 5.0 OS, everything runs smooth but I can't see my owner or information in the home screen when I lock the device anymore, is there a way to have this shown all the time? even if I don't lock it? I was thinking about a custom theme or something, I really need that info/owner to be shown in the home screen, locked or unlocked.
I really love my BB, especially with this OS.

Is that a "new feature"? It'd be nice to display the owner info if I accidentally leave my berry somewhere and all the person has to do is touch a button to display the info.
I have gone into Options, Owner Info, typed in my email address and pressed Save, but the information doesn't display on my Home Screen.

With the previous device software, the owner information would appear. Incidentally, the owner information will appear if I lock (with a password) the device; but I typically do not have the need nor wish to go through the bother of using a password.Is this simply a glitch? Is there a workaround? Or, must we wait for Blackberry to update the software or provide a fix/patch?

I am so looking forward to exploring everything about this device. I thinkg I will wait a little while befor I install OS 5.0. For example if I don not have any network during several hours, the time at which I receive a SMS message will be the time at which I recover some network... not the time at which the writer sent the SMS message.
Even my Nokia 3410 was able to get this information... Why not my BB 9700? Same concerning the acknowledgement of receipt: I do not see at what time the SMS was received
I seem to have lost some contact information. Though many of my contacts are still intact, others no longer show a secondary phone number I once entered, or some contacts seem to have disappeared completely.The strange thing is, when I dial one of the "lost" numbers manually, the contact's name does show up! But I can't find it in the list of contacts. I use these calendar entries as a record of my consulting hours/activities so I can't afford to have them wiped out. What can I do? But everything got erased from the 9000 (contacts, everything!) and nothing got uploaded to my 9700. Is there any way I can find the lost info??? I am pretty sure i never did a back up from the 9000. I put my t mobil account chip and bought the data plan and most of the features seem to work (I think).My brother's email is still in the email button and blackberry can't connect to the email server so that I can delect his email and put mine.Also when I make a call the 'My number' is showing my brother's number.

Hey guys so i've had my ATT Nexus one for about 4 days now and I absolutely love the thing. I've a few problems though. First my call quality is apparently pretty bad, I have full 3G ATT service in Pittsburgh and i routinely hear the people i'm talking to say sorry can you repeat that. Also I've been getting texts a few hours after people send them. Finally I'm having a really hard time getting used to the onscreen keyboard.
Now I came from an N85 which obviously had a physical keyboard and the first two issues can easily be blamed on ATT's network. I was wondering if these are common issues however and if they will improve over time, in regard to typing. I assume it will but its been about 4 days now and i'm still no good at all, maybe I really suck with touchscreen typing?
