I sync my blackberry with my outlook calendar (gmail account) and I noticed yesterday that everything had disappeared from the blackberry calendar. I've tried to re-sync (from computer to device) and it appears to work but nothing is actually moved onto the calendar.

I use these calendar entries as a record of my consulting hours/activities so I can't afford to have them wiped out. What can I do? I would be willing to use older software if this is a glitch in the new BB Curves!

I had my contacts and photos transferred from my old phone (Blackberry Q10) to the new one at the store, but forgot all about my calendar (duh!) ... Is there any way for me to transfer my calendar from the old one to the new one or do I need to return to the store and beg (nicely) for them to move that information as well? Or, worse, do I need to manually transfer it myself?

They both sync from Outlook to the phones. It seems like it used to sync both ways.We both sync over wi-fi, and I have connected the phones to the computers. Has something changed?

950xl dual sim from US, non insider.I just got the firmware update yesterday and found out the live tile stop showing any information. Not a big deal but once you know it, it is annoying, just like the creaking back cover.I don't think this firmware update fix the heating issue, my phone heats up quickly even when browsing internet with Edge.

Actually, it is my wife's, so I cannot tell you how it might have happened. But, she has no calendar on her iPhone. She has one on her Macbook and one on her iPad. I reset the phone and synced with the Macbook, but no luck. Should I restore or is there a better answer. She is on the iCloud, but the Calendar icon is not on the phone.

It brings up the configuration screen, but it refuses to add it to my homescreen, even if I try it on an entirely blank homescreen. Cant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.

Does anyone have issues using their Bold 9790 outside, in the open air, when there is a breeze/wind blowing? Or even in the car if the air vents are blowing, even slightly? Whenever I am outside, even if there is hardly any wind, I am unable to send any kind of messages or scroll through menus, as the 'cursor' keeps going back up to the very top of the phone. So if I am trying to send a message, it scrolls right back to the oldest message. I have gone into the settings and made the sensitivity as low as it will go, but it makes no difference.

I invoice on a monthly basis and by necessity at times need to refer back to information sometimes months old. Yesterday I tried to retrieve information from early September and everything prior to the 19th of that month is gone. I am lost without this information. I am not teenage savvy on the idiosyncrasies of smart phones but I would have thought that if the availability of an option to record past events in calendar existed then those entries would have been sacrosanct, subject only to loss with the loss or damage of the handpiece and even then I thought they saved to the cloud. I've searched the forum as best I know how and haven't found an answer to the problem or any indication of how to retrieve the information.

since i bought this phone in April, its always been giving me SOS mode except for when i orient the phone in a certain way, in certain spots of my room. Other that that, i can't go anywhere in the house, its just SOS. I bought the phone with WIND Mobile. Thinking it was WIND that had the problem, i unlocked the phone to try it with Fido. It's confirmed that it is NOT the wireless carrier that has the problem, its the actual phone itself.
I don't want to believe that I spent $400 to buy the phone and its nothing but an expensive paper weight.
I have had my 9790 for 3 months and about 2 weeks ago I updated the os to 7.1. After I did this I started to have this issue where it would start to reboot on its own, sometimes once a day, sometimes 5 or 6 times in a row and it would drain the battery. Also I noticed the battery level on the screen isn't reflective of what the battery level actually is, it would go from full to red in seconds. its really drive me crazy.
I would do a battery pull and it would be back to 80 or 85 percent. I bought a new genuine blackberry battery to see if that was the issue but still same problems. I wiped the device and re-installed the original os from desktop manager twice and the problem is still there, very frustrating, any one have the same issue and managed to fix it?
Three weeks ago I got my BB 9790 and I am very happy! Only thing is, it keeps rebooting (about 3 times a week) . I have changed phones 3 times now (within 8 days I get a new phone) but I have the same problem each time. Probably a software thing? Are there any others that have the same problem and maybe a solution?
