I was transfering files from the computer (MAC) and all of a sudden connection was lost. I was asked to restart the phone, so I restarted the phone, but it never opened. Now it's just dead, screen is black and the charging led (orange) is lit. Nothing happens. I held start-up button for 4 minutes, but nothing..
View 4 RepliesOver the last 24 hours i've notice my Xperia Z2's battery is draining very quickly, even when asleep. Even when it is plugged in charging, i keep getting messages saying the phone is unable to charge as it is using too much power. And previously i could charge the phone overnight fully, now it doesn't get close to 40%

In addition to this I've noticed it is kicking out a lot of heat at the top of the phone, and also i can no longer connect to the internet via wifi.

Everything else seems ok, and i have managed to back up my data to an sd card. I haven't added any new apps recently.

I've had the phone for less than a year and as far as i know it hasn't had any heavy drops or anything.
I got a call from my wife,but it didn't show up like it should with her ring tone and pic. I went to my contacts to see what was wrong and they were ALL gone. I just did a restore from my BB Protect. But what would cause such a thing?

I've tried upgrading the software through PC companion and that hasn't resolved the issue. (It's not in airplane mode and I've also tried powering on/off/on, cleaning SIM card etc)

I'm still getting emails and my other calendars are synced... I just can't understand why the one is not showing up. It's enabled on both my computer and phone (like, it's checked off.) I've unchecked, rechecked and restarted my phone several times. I'm not sure why it all of a sudden disappeared?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhile I was taking some pictures, my Xperia Z3 decided to turn its screen black, without any reason. The colors faded and in a few seconds the screen went blank. I know my phone is stll working because when I plug my earphones in it, music starts to play, the notfication led turns on, it vibrates when I get mesages and the volume and camera buttons make noise when I press them. I have tried turning it off and doing a soft reset but nothing happened, and my phone is only a few months old!

I have read that many other users have had the same problem with the Xperia Z3. At the moment I'm studying abroad (don't have my warranty with me) and I havea lot of important things stored in my phone. View 9 Replies View RelatedI've lost all Internet capabilities on my C7; it happened two weeks ago when I went to the middle of nowhere and had no reception whatsoever, upon returning to civilisation the normal phone reception returned fine but the Internet and email will not work at all - it won't pick up previously recognised wi-fi networks and won't connect through my WAP either.
It has happened before but always came back within a day or so, but as said this has now lasted two weeks and absolutely nothing.
I puked my phone and lost all connection to Bluetooth, now my car is saying that my phone is authorized but it is still not connecting, the car book says that there should be a screen that asks for the Passcode and that it should be entered into the phone as well, but the car doesn't ask for this, making me think that the car still has the Passcode put in originally but the phone has lost it, how do I get up a menu to enter the Passcode?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter a year and a half of working just fine, my Blackberry 8110 will not connect to my PC via USB. I am using Windows XP Pro ver. 2002 SR 3 and Desktop manager Ver 4.3.0.17. The phone does not appear in Windows device manager when connected, desktop mgr reports no connection and cannot detect the device when prompted. After a hard reset the charging icon appears on the phone momentarily when first plugged into the PC then disappears and will not reappear without another reset. I can charge the unit with an AC charger until I plug it into the PC. After that it is unresponsive to the charger until reset. The phone is fully charged. I read a thread about fiddling with the connection at the phone end of the USB cable. I was able to get an intermittent connection using this technique (or at least the charging icon appeared intermittently), but now that does not seem to make any difference. The AC charger connection is completely solid when I move the plug around. I have removed and reinstalled BDM, no change.Several weeks ago I installed a USB driver for an M audio midi interface and had a great deal of difficulty getting that device to work. I don;t recall whether I have synced the phone since then. I am wondering if that created some sort of conflict or if it somehow corrupted the driver. Other obvious causes are the USB port on the phone or problem with the phone OS. I have tried both USB ports on laptop and both immediately recognize a thumb drive. I don't know how to update/reinstall the RIM driver since the phone other than remove and reinstall BDM which I have done. I am reluctant to wipe the phone without some confidence it will resync. Also thought about switching to bluetooth sync but would rather not buy gear if the phone is KO'd.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a strange problem with my new Xperia Z3 Dual ever since I updated it to Lollipop. I’m using two SIM cards from two different operators. But every morning I notice that there is no signal available for SIM2. Signal comes back to normal on SIM2, if a call received or if I made an outgoing call from SIM1. Otherwise I have to switch on to Airplane Mode and switch it off every time to get the signal back. Because of this issue the battery drains so fast during night (due to loss of signal for 6-7hrs). And also I notice sudden call drops during conversations within 5-10 minutes after receiving or making a call.

I checked the same SIM using another phone to get verified whether this issue is related with the operator. But there I didn’t notice this strange behaviour. Hopefully this is something related with my Xperia Z3 Dual. I’m using WCDMA(Preferred)/GSM on SIM1 and GSM Only on SIM2.
I just received a N8 and wanted to totally update everything. When it was doing the "N8 firmware update" it suddenly stopped, saying the connection to the phone was lost.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI am in West Africa for a while and have a UK network which has worked fine. I upgraded my software when i connected to the device manager and installed. Since then i have been unable to get any emails. I usually use my WI-FI connection, which is till working but i cant get onto FaceBook or emails it just says no data connection available. I can send text messages and make calls but no emails!! its drove me mad so i reverted back to the old version from my Data backup and installed that, thinking this would help, but it still hasn't. I have never had this problem before. I tried to take out the battery and chip but nothing. (not sure what i was version i was updating but the phone says V5.0.0.592) if that means anything!! It lost the ability to connect to the internet via the AT&T cell network, although it could still make phone calls, and could still connect to the internet via a WiFi network.After three weeks of attempts to fix this myself, I eventually called AT&T. The tech support people were very friendly and helpful, of course, and eventually discovered that my cell-to-internet privileges had been rescinded because they thought someone might have stolen my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI listen to the phone's FM radio a lot and and play some of my music, and that side of it is important for me. I have a few different earpieces/buds including a couple of SE's that have come with various phones, All was fine yesterday, but this morning I went to listen to some music and the sound was barealy audible - it was playing, but through the earpieces it was extremely feint. Plays fine through the speaker however. I tried six different earpieces, one that came with the phone so is known to be compatible, one that came with my second phone an X10 mini, and two that are generic but work fine with the Ray, and they all had barely-audible sound the same.
I tried the same earphiones with the X10 mini, and all work fine so the earphones are all functioning perfectly.I downloaded a free music player app to test a new installation/registry/files/whatever, but same results. So I suspected a software fault, and did a factory reset (yes, it is that important to me) but still with the same result.BUT that was when I noticed ... when recreating a couple of things again I brought up the FM radio to have it scan for stations as the reset left it empty. Although it recognised that the earpiece/aerial was connected ok there was no movement of the scanning progress-bar/window and then it closed down leaving the tuning-scale on screen but no stations ... I could manually swipe up and down the tuning scale no problem, however no stations were heard/found/registered.
I repeated the 'empty' radio on the X10 mini so I could test the earpiece/aerial function, and when then retuning-in it found all the stations in a heartbeat with both SE earpoeces - I didn't bother to repeat it any further with the others, no point.It is easy to suspect the earpieces until they play the music fine on the other phone and also scan/play FM radio channels... and it is also easy to suspect the phono/wire/connection until you realise that they are transmitting the played music just not at a listenable volume without straining... and also i is easy to think the aerial-function is faulty and it doesn't interface, until on another phone it grabs plenty of channels in its scan in just moments It hasn't been dropped or in water or anything, just worked yesterday evening then not this morning and it was only on my bedside table overnight.
I am still happily on Gingerbread, haven't bothered to go to ICS, not that fusssed about it TBH - so it hasn't been caused in an upgrade/incompatibility problem with ICS.I actually did upgrade to ICS hoping this might cure it, but it was exactly the same then too!So I flashed the phone back to GB (Flashtool+appropriate .ftf), but still it was exactly the same - very low sound and no station search/reset And that's where it has stopped at now.i am thinking I have missed something blindingly obvious, but now I am too close to figure that out anyway, plus also am undoubtedly in need of someone expert.
When i connect my 5630 XPress music phone via PC Suite, a ballon connfirms that Nokia 5630 connected. But whenever i try to install application or do any other work via PC suite, it gives an error saying that connection to the phone lost.
Moreover, when i plug usb to ma computer and to my phone, computer finds a hardware named " MTP", computer tries to install it but gives an error saying that a problem occured during hardware installation and it might not work properly
Got today SMS to update the X6 SW (in Finland), and so I did, probably shouldn't have done it. After the update, phone is not anymore recognized by Ovi player. Ovi Suite connection is ok. Comes with Music is now useless, as I can't transfer the music to my X6. SW version is 20.0.005, date 23-3-2010. "Modified" version 20.0.005.226.01 dated 15-4-2010. Language package 03. X6-00. Type RM-559. Last update 14:38. Please HELP ! I have changeg the USB connection method, restarted PC several times as well the phone, nothing is working. Earlier these type of issues, which seems to be typical for X6, have been recovered by restarting either or both PC and X6.
