View 7 RepliesI have tried several times to update my z3 to 23.4.a.1.200. When I connect via USB it tells me update is available but keeps sticking at preparing computer for update.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled pc companion 4 times. It sat on preparing for over 4 hours last try with no movement at all...
I got my UDID on my account, went past the activation but, now for some strange reason, iTunes is saying "Preparing iPhone for software update", and has been saying that for about 15 minutes. I don't want to cancel it, because iRecovery didn't work the last time this happened to one of my devices, and I had to restore.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install a software uodate on my E72 using Ovi Suite. I have not updated before. My phone is connected to my PC with a USB. I am using Windows XP. Ovi appears to have identified relevant updates and backed up the data on my phone. Ovi suite states that it is preparing to install. It has been like this for 4 hours. There is a warning not to disconnect the USB or switch off the phone or the phone may stop working. When I try to close Ovi suite it says it cannot be closed because it is busy. There is no option to cancel the install. My only options appear to be to shut down the PC or unplug the cable. Wish I had not started on this process.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am doing the updates on my x10 for the first time, I have followed the instructions on how to back up the data, (which I have done) and when I press on do updates it goes through 3/4 of the preparing and then says the update of software failed and just tells me to consult sony ericsson support. I am connected through usb cable.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro that's working fine. Then i saw that there was a update! So i plug in my phone and press update on PC Companion. However, the 'Preparing the computer for the software update' takes pretty long.. It stalls at about 30 / 35 %. I already re-installed PC Companion. My internet connection is perfectly fine. Running Windows 7 and I never had this problem before..

This morning (February 16, 2012), I downloaded the new synchronization software/software update for my Blackberry Bold 8520. Every time I try to synchronize, the software gets stuck at "Preparing synch preview." I have taken the battery out of the Blackberry, rebooted my computer and backed up settings to my computer.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my Desktop Software to 7.0, and when I connected by Tour to sync it has been at the "Preparing sync preview" screen for about 40 minutes with the bar completely green. Is this a glitch with the new 7.0 software?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been struggling for over an hour to update my Xperia Mini to the latest version of Android, using PC Companion. As soon as I am done with the 'prepare' section, nothing further happens. It keeps taking me back to the part where I must disconnect the phone, reconnect it, mount the SD card etc.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my xperia x8 since june no problems at all until sunday....I let the phone run out of battery...(the battery life is pretty awful even after all the tips) and when I charged it and turned it on it said it was preparing sd card checking for errors on the notification bit. Its not said that since i had it intitially. This notification did not go away and actually made my phone slow down then go blank then behave completely irratically (almost like a computer does when its being affected by a virus)
I tried turning off ...taking out battery...taking out sd card..taking out sim card...turning on...and a combination of all these to see if it changed but it just keeps preparing sd card /checking sd card for errors....it was fine the other day what has changed?
My SD card is not corrupted, i checked it in other mobile, it was able to read all the contents of the card. And when i tried to read other memory card, its not reading. So i concluded that the problem is with my phone's memory card reader.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was updating the phone to 5.1(i think) from 4.4(kitkat). Half way through, it says ERROR: Update Failed.
I plug it in the computer and attempt to fastboot/recovery mode/ SUS but it doesnt register under the software. (No device detected)
It is quite similar to this: [URL] ....
However, i did not unlock bootloader or do anything to void my warrenty. Will sony be able to aid me in restoring my phone? I have backed up my data on my computer so that will not be a problem.
I have shut off the phone for 2hours before attempting to SUS it, using the "Power + Volume UP" key.
Used volume down and plugged into computer to attempt to connect to fastboot/recovery.
Used volume up and plugged into computer to attempt to connect to fastboot/recovery.
i recently updated my neo l to 4.1.b.0.626 and started getting this volume issue with headset. it is stuck at around 60%. increasing the volume using the settings menu briefly pops up a warning that says something similar to "high volume can damage ears" and vanishes before any action can be taken. using the volume rocker in application such as Internet causes the playback to stop. the volume itself is way too low to be practical even for someone with good hearing. no such issues without the headset. i am using the sony supplied headset. i have tried a factory reset and didn't work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedLike others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI am a user of the Blackberry Desk Top Manager, running under Windows XP Service Pack 4.5. I recently downloaded the latest version of Desk Top Manager and I am getting the following error: - Flashing intermittently, whilst running the newly downloaded Desktop Manager - "Windows Installer Preparing to Install". I have removed the programme, downloaded it again from Blackberry's website and run my Windows updates to no available. I have now been advised that I must format my entire computer and reload Windows, which seems to be a rather onerous solution, as I have been using Blackberry's Synchronisation Programme for over a year successfully before this took place.
