Xperia X10 :: Complete Wipe/reset/re-install Of Everything?
Nov 10, 2010
I thought I would take this as the perfect chance to do a full wipe/reset/re-install of Android and and everything on the deivce as I'm sure it shouldn't freeze and be as slow as it is at times. What is the best way to do a full backup of the device (in case things go wrong)? What is the best way to wipe/reset my phone and completely re-install the latest available OS for it?
It worked, but when the update of htc came in, it didn't download the update.
So, I uninstalled Super SU. Ofc, bad move... Had to undergo some steps in order to completely remove it.
So, i wanted to reset my HTC. It went into a booting menu, and I thought I had to select what to delete ( wrong, it already deleted everything, all i needed was to reboot)... so, i deleted EVERYTHING on my HTC, now it's obviously not working anymore. What can I do to at least re-install an OS on it?
It was bought from the Emirates, it's an M8 Gold Edition. Not sure what version it is..
So yesterday I installed CM13 on my phone and I had some problems so I wanted to revert to stock rom. I had a backup made with TWRP, so I installed it but TWRP crashed when doing so, so I tried it again but this time I wiped everything (internal storage aswell...), which was a bad idea, because it deleted my backup aswell (didn't think of that).
After that I downloaded the 6.0.1 (MMB29M) Stock image from the Google Developers site, rebooted into bootloader and tried using the flash-all script to flash the stock rom (I put all the files into the plattform-tools folder). But when flashing Radio, etc. it showed that it wasn't possible because of an unknown error and then it said that boot.sig or so was missing. After that the script crashed.
Now here I am with no data on my phone and I don't know how to flash anything (trying sideload with TWRP doesn't work aswell because it says that my device is offline). How can I get the script to work ?
Is there anyway to basically wipe out a torch? I want all the pictures and everything gone kind of like a blank slate is there anyway to make this happen?
I used BBSAK to wipe my BB Strom 9530. I installed an OS for storm on my system. But when I run the loader it says that the files are not compatible with thte device. Mine is an unlocked BB Storm that I had bought in India. It was company unlocked.
I have two N8 phones. On my first N8, I did the Anna update. I now have two sets of "midnight" themes on this phone, one set that looks like it did before, and one set that has a symbol at the right of the theme name that sort of looks like a coffee cup. For the themes with the "coffee cup" symbol to the right of the theme name, all the theme icons have been modified to something a bit fancier than the original. What does the "coffee cup" symbol mean? My newest N8 was recently updated to Anna. It only has the old-style themes named "midnight color-name". The icons for the themes still look like they did before the Anna update. How can I get this fancier theme icons on my other N8? If it's simply a matter of downloading the new, full and complete Nokia "midnight" themes for the N8 phone with Anna, where do I go to get them? I've searched all over, and found lots of "midnight" themes, but not the ones I'm looking for (which apparently were installed on one of my phones as part of the Anna Update.
My 9300 menu is blocked and I have not possibilities to move in the menu to achieve the full reset has describe.I already tried to remove many times the battery but no way, the situation remain the same acces to the menu exept the "screen menu" which unfortunatly don't contain the tools. I have a Atrix Gingerbread phone and before I updated it was rooted. When updated it broke the root and left residual programs from rooting on my phone. Is there a way to do a complete fresh install of Gingerbread on my phone. I am not talking about a hard factory reset. I want to wipe it completely then reinstall it.
I want to do a complete re install of pure nexus ROM and elemental because I believe I have some issues mainly on my SD card so want to wipe this also. What's the steps to do so? I only have my work laptop also so can't adb anything. Do I just download ROM etc put on laptop, wipe all on phone, then transfer ROM, gapps etc back to phone then reboot to recovery and go from there?
If I am to do a master reset wherein it will delete my emails, contacts, messages, third party apps and memory card data and restore my blackberry to factory settings, will it also change my phone from being unlocked to a locked phone again?
I am unable to Factory Reset my Motorola Photon. Whenever, I try to reset it wipes data & settings upto May 12, 2012. It would not delete/wipe anything prior to that date.
I wrongly did wipe my Lumia 800 (059M359).From there, everytime I configure my device, and begin to transfer more data to it (like 2, or 3 GB data), it freezes... and when I restart it (just pressing power button), it comes back totally empty (like a hard reset).
Not surprising, I found another guy who has exalt the same problem. The only difference is that he has initiated the wipe on Windowsphone website, and me at OWA website.
I took the device to the Nokia Care Point last Saturday, got it today, where they have updated firmware and OS version. But, again, when I started uploading data to it, it stopped working again, and I lost all my daily configuration.
Can the blackberry desktop manager software remotely wipe out all data and reset it to factory settings? I have bb curve 8530 and I have no information on what software update exactly is the desktop manager.
I have been struggling for over an hour to update my Xperia Mini to the latest version of Android, using PC Companion. As soon as I am done with the 'prepare' section, nothing further happens. It keeps taking me back to the part where I must disconnect the phone, reconnect it, mount the SD card etc.
I'm experiencing some problems with my 5800xm... I can't install any application. The install process goes as usual but when it should display the loading progress bar, the installer simply closes.
