This morning (February 16, 2012), I downloaded the new synchronization software/software update for my Blackberry Bold 8520. Every time I try to synchronize, the software gets stuck at "Preparing synch preview." I have taken the battery out of the Blackberry, rebooted my computer and backed up settings to my computer.
View 5 RepliesI recently upgraded my Desktop Software to 7.0, and when I connected by Tour to sync it has been at the "Preparing sync preview" screen for about 40 minutes with the bar completely green. Is this a glitch with the new 7.0 software?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled pc companion 4 times. It sat on preparing for over 4 hours last try with no movement at all...
I got my UDID on my account, went past the activation but, now for some strange reason, iTunes is saying "Preparing iPhone for software update", and has been saying that for about 15 minutes. I don't want to cancel it, because iRecovery didn't work the last time this happened to one of my devices, and I had to restore.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install a software uodate on my E72 using Ovi Suite. I have not updated before. My phone is connected to my PC with a USB. I am using Windows XP. Ovi appears to have identified relevant updates and backed up the data on my phone. Ovi suite states that it is preparing to install. It has been like this for 4 hours. There is a warning not to disconnect the USB or switch off the phone or the phone may stop working. When I try to close Ovi suite it says it cannot be closed because it is busy. There is no option to cancel the install. My only options appear to be to shut down the PC or unplug the cable. Wish I had not started on this process.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a iphone 3gs 32 gb on version 5.0.1. i tried several times to sync it with itunes. Itunes reads my device loads Step 1 and 2 but for some reasons it stops loading at Step 3 "preparing to sync" the bar doesnt freeze it just keeps going endlessly and doesnt continue on to Step 4, 5, or 6.

Suddenly since yesterday the preview of the new taken phots dont show, i just see this small icon of a landscape. Some of the downloaded images do have the same effeect.
i already repared the card, rebooted, removed the memory card. But the effect is both on the bb's hd and memory card
Here recently, as of this past week, I have been getting the SIM card error. Where the icon shows then the message saying preparing SIM card.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BlackBerry Curve 8520 got wet a few days ago, it's since been left to dry out with all parts removed on top of my Virgin Media box. I checked for damage today & it appears to be working fine, apart from the fact that it's stuck in alt mode.Any suggestions on how I can get it out of alt mode? The button doesn't appear to be stuck. The 'alt' icon in the corner changes to '123' when I select the left shift button, but when deselected it changes back to alt mode.I've done a few battery pulls, removed all third party applications & re-installed its OS. To be able to type normally with letters I have to either hold down the 'return/back' button, 'X' 'V' or 'B' button, or the '$' button. Whilst holding these I can select whether I want 'alt' or not, but then it returns when I let go anyway

I am connected through usb cable.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my xperia x8 since june no problems at all until sunday....I let the phone run out of battery...(the battery life is pretty awful even after all the tips) and when I charged it and turned it on it said it was preparing sd card checking for errors on the notification bit. Its not said that since i had it intitially. This notification did not go away and actually made my phone slow down then go blank then behave completely irratically (almost like a computer does when its being affected by a virus)
I tried turning off ...taking out battery...taking out sd card..taking out sim card...turning on...and a combination of all these to see if it changed but it just keeps preparing sd card /checking sd card for errors....it was fine the other day what has changed?
I've got a Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro that's working fine. Then i saw that there was a update! So i plug in my phone and press update on PC Companion. However, the 'Preparing the computer for the software update' takes pretty long.. It stalls at about 30 / 35 %. I already re-installed PC Companion. My internet connection is perfectly fine. I just had this bb since december, and it was working fine a few days, then it started giving me a message after booting up: Uncaught Exception 3>3 or something like that, I pressed ok the first time it happened so I didn't mind about it. Then a few days ago, my phone fell over my bed, and turned off by itself, I tried pulling the battery out and it wasn't turning on at all at first, then it turned on and the typical booting process: Red led> Blackberry logo on screen and below the grey bar loading, which only loads until like 3/4 of it. This has been happening for like a month.. the keyboard seems to be working. I've tried with another battery. It doesn't connect to Desktop Manager, jl_Commander or BBSAK.. nothing works, I've tried wiping it with jl_commander and it doesn't connect to the device.. I've tried with other computers, I've tried with other cables.

I use my BB to watch movies and listen songs. I guess on an avg of 3hrs a day. Also I use it to browse a little, say 2 hrs a day.
