BB Curve :: 8520 Device Software Update Taking Forever / Stuck On Install Step
Nov 17, 2010I'm updating my BlackBerry Curve 8520 device software version from 4.6.1.272 to 4.6.1.314. I used the BlackBerry Desktop Software and clicked the "Update my device" button in updating my BlackBerry Curve device software version. The process was started last Monday, November 15, 2010 but until now is not yet finish (Thursday, November 18, 2010). Is this normal? I cannot disconnect my device because it said that "During these steps, do not disconnect your device or interrupt this process as it could make your device unusable."

BB Curve 8520/8530 :: Unlocked Att 8520 For Tmobile - Can Setup Email
Aug 11, 2010I have an ATT 8520 Curve unlocked to work with a tmobile sim card and have a few questions...Now that's unlocked I cant setup an external email account (hotmail, gmail, etc...) that icon is missing from the setup section. how can I get that feature? can I also use the bbm feature? I added a friend (and vice-versa) but it just stays as pending. is it possible to bbm? for the above 2 do i need to get the bb data plan so they can work? I've read elsewhere that the best way to get the features would be to load the tmobile handheld software. I went to tmobiles site, I enter my ph# - select the 8520 - click on handheld and it takes me to their 'shop for phones' page. I guess they now by the number that i dont currently have a bb. So I tried a friends ph# from tmobile who has a bb and it still took me to the 'shop for phones' page. So I Am hoping it's just a link glitch going on right now. I did download from this forum the 5.0 OS "8520wifiM_PBr5.0.0_rel860_PL5.2.0.47_A5.0.0.509_W ind_Hellas.exe" which obviously is not tmobile. What would loading this different OS allow me to do? Or what features will I have available? and I have lowercase 'edge'.

May 8, 2012I have an HP mini and I am trying to sync my itunes with my iphone 4s. It has been on step 2 of 6 for the past 2 hours, how long should it take to completely sync? I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and still it is taking forever. Is this normal? Is there a step I am missing somewhere?

Aug 8, 2011Last night my Curve 8520 crashed on me while I was deleting some old applications and restarting. When trying to restart it was giving me an error. After a little research I found the steps to fix it by completely reinstalling the OS. After downloading the OS to my computer and getting it installed to the phone I found it was quite a bit different than the old OS, and I made sure to select the correct service provider. Anyways, needless to say, I lost all my apps and phone numbers, but the apps and email info were saved on my desktop software. I haven't been able to get the apps back onto the phone though and when trying to open App World on my phone it stays on the loading screen and goes no further. I have tried starting it over many times, pulled the battery and such but no luck.
