i dont know How it happaned but my keyboard is now darker and it dosent let me push the spelling correction options.. Â i digged into the settings and found nothing.

In my text messages I cant seem to find where to turn off auto correction for spelling. Also I noticed there is no way to save pictures that are sent through text messaging. Can anyone help me...This phone does not have many options for customizing and I am thinking about switching this phone to an htc phone or something.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn my LG G3, when I want to make correction to the text that I have typed, I see a "droplet" icon near the character I want to change. This is the icon that is used to drag and place the cursor somewhere else. (I do not know the correct technical term for this draggable icon.)
The problem is that I cannot touch and drag this droplet icon. Usually this icon is rectangle in shape, but I see it as a droplet icon. Initally it was a rectangle icon. I accidently pressed some key which changed the cursor to "droplet" shape.
Are there any keyboards that can be installed for the Ray?One gripe I have with the stock keyboard is the lack of long click for numbers - one always needs to go into the dedicated numbers keyboard.A point to note - I use gesture input so any alternative keyboard would need to support this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn the Sony build of Android 4.0.4 (all Builds!) on a German "SK17i", the settings for turning off the auto-correction for punctuation is plainly ignored.That is: "Automatical Upper- Lower case" is UNchecked, "automatical replacement" is UNchecked and also in the XPERIA keyboard setting I changed the word suggestions to "never help with typing, do not suggest".And STILL, every time there is a full stop the phone starts the next word at upper case (also at places like "e.g."). If I hit upper case at the beginning of a sentence or after an abreviation, as I am used to with a QWERTZ keyboard, it switches to CAPSLOCK FOR ALL FOLLOWING words in that textbox.It is not even consistent in doing so: when entering a title for an appointment, the phone "Upper Cases" Every Word There Is And Switches To CAPSLOCK When Pressing Shift One Time Regardless Of The Punctuation.It is so annoying I sometimes want to smack the phone to the wall and grab my old Palm Pre which just works like it should, that is like a regular keyboard.I consider this to be a serious bug as the software is clearly IGNORING the system settings.

I'm not looking for auto-correct, as it generally makes more mistakes then corrections and i already have predictive text turned on that will show me spelling suggestions for the word I'm typing but the phone currently isn't showing spelling errors. How to turn this feature on?
This is very frustrating! My phone has recently started ringing when I'm receiving incoming call but the screen remains idle and doesn't display who's calling. It also doesn't display the answer/ignore options and will continue to ring until I switch the phone off! I have also been receiving 'Unknown' calls from known numbers too.
I have looked through your forums and have read the Settings/Personalisation/Manage Notifications fix. I am in the UK however and my settings don't appear to have these options at all. I am a carer for my 2 year old daughter and depend on my phone for doctor/hospital appointments, physio, emergencies etc. I have a few months left on the contract and if I am very tempted to settle contract early as the phone is no use to me while it is doing this.
I can't use the keyboard on my phone while talking on it. The keyboard doesn't come up at all while talking on the phone. As soon as I hang up the keyboard pops up.

It's wonderful that dictation recognizes these words.But when dictation doesn't use the desired spelling then remedial editing is required.For example, 'Alison', 'Allison', and 'Alyson' are all correct spellings for a name. Unfortunately, dictation uses 'Allison' but I need 'Alison'.Is there any way to train/specify the spelling of words that dictation recognizes but spells differently than is needed?

I did a factory reset on my phone because I'd been having battery issues and just wanted to restart.
I backed it up using the HTC account and used dropbox to store all of the information.
I can still see the information in my dropbox account (when I access it through the a desktop browser).
I have downloaded the dropbox app again and it's listed under "Settings > Accounts & Sync"
However now I've completed the backup and am looking to restore the information, I go to:
Settings > Backup & Reset > Restore from HTC Backup > ... But then there are no cloud backups to restore.
I believe in that last menu should be the option to restore my dropbox account.
Is there anyway to install a limited recovery or just turn it off when not needed it and turn it on back when needed ?

I don't want to turn the feature off because it's useful for correcting all my other mistakes but that one is really annoying because I never use "mr" (all lower case) and often use "me" Does anyone know how to edit the "dictionary" its using to make the corrections. I've got a jb ip4. It's been jailbroken for awhile and this problem is only recent so I know it's not tied to having just been jailbroken.
View 13 Replies View RelatedSince lollipop update my Note 3 underlines spelling errors in red. I hate auto correction but love the red underlining feature. You need to install google keyboard for it to work however you don't need to use google keyboard. Just have it installed. This feature never worked on note 3 until 5.0 update. I'm at an ATT store at the mall and I installed google keyboard in the s6edge but I cannot seem to get the red underlining to work? A screenshot would be great confirmation. I really need this feature. It draws my attention to possibly misspellings without changing them. I use a lot of jargon that gets "autocorrected" into jibberish if I use normal autocorrection.
