I have Xperia Z2 phone, with good LCD display, but this display won't show anything and phone works well. So i wan't to update my phone, but it requires that phone will be unlock, then i can update it.
View 9 RepliesWhen ever I try to unlock (dragging lock button from left to right) , I am unable to unlock in one go. It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.
I've had my Xperia Z3 from T-Mobile for the last 8-9 months, no issues till, well, today when I decided to test if the phone was really waterproof (1.5m for 30min as per the specs). Â Verified all slots were tightly closed and used for about 15 minutes taking some pictures and video underwater (approx 50cm deep), no problem at all. Â After those 15 minutes however the screen stopped responding to inputs. Â It was still displaying content though (camera), just not responding to inputs. Â

I was able to reboot the phone by pressing power + volume up for a few seconds. The phone seems to be rebooting fine but the screen is not displaying anything now. Â I can see the screen is backlit, and if I press the volume up or down buttons I hear the usual beeps, but the screen is not displaying anything at all. Â

My biggest issue now, besides what seems to be water damage on my display, is that I need to recover my phone data (images and some docs) as soon as possible. Â I tried connecting it to my PC via USB to access the internal storage and get what I needed, but my phone has a swipe code and since the screen is not displaying anything I can't unlock it for my PC to see it.
I have the unlock key in the top of my blackberry 9300 broken (Play/Pause/Mute/UNLOCK key) How can I change the unlock function to another -not broken- key?

I can still see everything on the screen, but when I try to unlock the phone by sliding the touch screen, there's no reply. Have tried to repair the phone via PC companion, everytime the download begins an error message comes up "unable to start update"
Have been to the optus shop and contacted sony over the phone, being told by optus that my phone is 7 days over its warranty and it will cost me to unlock, Sony helpdesk advised that it was "Easy" to fix and i just needed to repair the phone via PC companion, which clearly is not as easy as stated. I am left without a phone which is badly affecting my work, I have been told it will take at least 2 weeks for the phone to be unlocked if it is done by the provider, google password is not working.

The 4th Bold (9000) went okay. The keys clicked to loud (like something was wrong with the plastic. The speaker on it went out and I was sent to a warranty area. They exchanged it for another Bold 9000.
The 5th Bold (9000) was okay. The camera did not take clear pictures (Blurry) and the back would not stay on. It felt weird to type on. I called AT&T mulitiple times asking for another device. They finally gave in and I was given another Bold 9700. The 6th Bold (9700) was okay. The camera would not focus correctly and the quality was horrible. I had the settings at Superfine and Autofocus at Normal. I called AT&T and they sent me another Bold 9700. My bezel on the right side is loose and my LCD on the bottom left is also loose.
The 7th Bold (9700) was in my hands and when I went to try out the camera I clicked the camera button (the one on the right) and to my amazement the bloody thing was broken. It goes to camera but the button is lose or broken. I am sick of AT&T. Sick of their phones being broken. They have taken me through the ringer.
I am selling my phone an want to wipe it before I do. My trackpad is broken, is there a way of wiping it without using the trackpad?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone and cracked the screen and now the screen is all black. I went through insurance and received my new phone. I've deactivated the old phone and activated my new phone. I've been reading other responses for a similar problem but it seems like most of them have not activated the new phone yet and were able to wipe the phone using the Android Device Manager. Since I've already activated my new phone, if I use ADM it finds my new phone and not my old phone.
Is there a way to wipe the data off of the old phone with a broken screen after I've already activated my new phone?
I have a Blackberry Torch which has been fantastic.Brought December 2011.I plugged the phone in to charge last night as usual and this morning when unplugging the phone the enitre socket came out of the phone and is now attached to the end of the charger. I phoned Carphone warehouse for advise about the repair of the phone under the warranty and was told the charger socket is not covered under the Blackberry Manufacturers warranty and any problems with the socket are down to wear and tear, which I would have to pay £160 or more to have it repaired.I can not find any warranty information on the internet. Please can you advise if this is the case.The phone is only under a year old and I have never mistreated the phone charger socket therefore I do not understand how such an issue could occur, unless there is a fault with the phone? I also have a blackberry curve for work and had no problems with the charger socket.

I had no issues before with connecting to a network, but now have been seeing the message : Data Connectivity Proble: The server failed to communicate. Try again later. This happens even though the network is detected to having good signal, but I can't actually use it. I have already tried restoring under the backup and restore function, restoring my system settings, but this does not work. I have also tried to download settings for internet, but this doesn't work either. Or is there a way to restore my old settings so that my wifi will work normally?

It's not my home wifi, and is definitely a software issue on the phone, (was working all day, updated as soon as I connected to my home network when I got back in the evening). Have tried restarting, factory data reset and re-installing 3 times via PC Companion. Nothing works.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy phone stopped charging one day so I sent it in to Sony.They sent it back saying "physical damage, glue on connector broken".Now this phone is only a few months old.It has never been dropped or anything.If there was any damage to the connector, it came from plugging it in in a normal manner.So I called them back up and said that there is no way I caused any damage to the phone.The customer service person said that he would resubmit it and that I would hear back from them in 24 hours.
3 days later after hearing nothing, I called them and the guy told me that nothing was ever resubmitted and that they don't even do that.SO Sony sold me a phone that broke under 2 months of normal use, refuses to fix the problem, and then told me something completely untrue just to get me off the phone.That being said, has anyone had the glue break on their phone and is there anyway to fix it? I could deal with doing the battery swap and recharge thing but I really want to be able to update to gingerbread.
I have dropped my N95 and the screen has broken, the thing is all my contacts are saved to the phone and not the sim, so if somebody could post up the exact instructions on how to copy my contact from phone to sim then i can follow them and move all my contacts blind folded so to speak.
