I have dropped my N95 and the screen has broken, the thing is all my contacts are saved to the phone and not the sim, so if somebody could post up the exact instructions on how to copy my contact from phone to sim then i can follow them and move all my contacts blind folded so to speak.

My Nokia 6700 Classic Screen is broken and I need to copy the contacts from phone to sim. The phone still works. I just cant see what I am doing. Tried the Nokia computer program but I had issues with the USB cable.
View 6 Replies View Relatedso my old nokia n95 is out of warranty, the phone is kinda in bits now, it turns on etc, just the buttons dont work, thats why its apart, I Kinda tried to fix it, I didnt make it worse either though, my problem is the main buttons dont respond, numbers etc do.. I have loads of old pics and videos I wanted to copy over, but when I connect to pc I have to choose an option like data transfer, but I cand as the buttons dont work, is there anyway around that, Theres a lot of memories I need to copy please help if you can.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is my first time on here and after reading some of your post's with regard's to this phone, I'm now starting to regret my purchase. Brought this phone at the end of November and within a week I started to experience the contact's screen fading problem's, phone turn's itself off, etc, etc. Today I have got a new fault and I have contacted Nokia and they told me to carry out three different thing's, but this didn't help and suggested I take it to a repair centre.I stumbled on this discussion page and thought I would post my problem to see if anyone could help me :-Every time I go to answer a call or make a call, my phone just turn's itself off, can anyone help ?Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this one and if so, what can I do.I have removed the battery, sim card and checked for an updated, nothing helped.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone and cracked the screen and now the screen is all black. I went through insurance and received my new phone. I've deactivated the old phone and activated my new phone. I've been reading other responses for a similar problem but it seems like most of them have not activated the new phone yet and were able to wipe the phone using the Android Device Manager. Since I've already activated my new phone, if I use ADM it finds my new phone and not my old phone.
Is there a way to wipe the data off of the old phone with a broken screen after I've already activated my new phone?

When I turn my Samsung Galaxy S5 Verizon phone on there is blackness all over the lock screen, where the numbers are is completely blacked out. There is no way for me to enter my password. I want to connect it to my windows PC via USB cable to backup contacts/text messages/emails/documents I've created/photographs. My verizon cloud is full so there are some things on the phone that I need to backup. It seems like every software I have tried needs you to enter the phone password first and enable USB debugging mode. I cannot do this because the screen is so blacked out I cannot see any of the numbers, the OK button, or the delete button.

I don't want to shell out money to have it fixed (+-$100) because I'm almost due for a phone upgrade on my contract.I tried using the data cable but when I connect it to the phone I can't choose data transfer or ovi suite etc. since the screen input is broken.Is there any way to access the (internal) memory of the phone? Is there any possibility to reach the files from my computer even if i can't unlock the phone with my graphical password? It runs Android 5.1 and I haven't rooted it or anything. Very desperate to reach the data on my phone, have photos, videos and a diary from my year in Australia... Should think about back-up next time!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had an X6 for about a month now, and the slider keyguard on the phone had broken off. The phone is now in a permanent state of saying 'use keyguard to unlock keys and screen'. Obviously I cant because it doesn't work!!
I have tried leaving it switched off for 15 mins, and restating it. This lets me restart the time and date but then locks once the phone opens up. I have tried a drawing pin and paper clip to slide the keyguard without the keyguard but to no avail.
I had the situation where I had some messages on the C drive and some on the Mass memory so wanted to transfer them all over to the mass memory.I used PC Suite and copied messages from the phone to a folder on my PC. I then disconnected the phone and switched it to mass storage for messages and I can't find a way to transfer from PC to phone.I cant make a new folder via PC suite, I can't located the inbox via file manager so I cant copy them to anywhere.
View 6 Replies View Relatedtried installing the ms apps using a third party app since i saw it worked on other people's phones and i thought i would give it a shot i was wrong for about 3-4 days i've been scouring the internet trying to find a solution to the Home screen:feature not supported bug or whatever it is, but to no avail. I am starting to become a bit desperate as the gallery simply will not work no matter what i do, .jpgs wont open, and my phone has been handicapped in the most literal sense of the word. Also i've tried hard resetting twice but to no result. I've considered hacking the phone and installing a custom firmware but i didnt want to destroy the phone completely, and also waiting for the feature pack might take too long for me.

One hour later I have to conclude its impossible, because it wants to copy 600 images to my computer FIRST, even thoguh I never told it to. Synch is on manual, and it has to do this first before synching the music. When I first got the phone, teh worst thing about WP was the synching design, which I knew I hated. On android I could copy the music in 1 min and be off, but now I have to settle with the few sings I put on it. Also I cant even delete the 600 images beofre copying them all to teh computer!

I would like to connect the phone to Nokia PC suite and select the backup option to copy all the contact details to my PC. Unfortunately he has damaged the screen and nothing at all is showing.
What I would like to know therefore is exactly which buttons need to be pressed on the phone after the USB connector has been inserted to ensure that PC suite is selected; because at present although the phone is recognised by my PC, PC suite is reporting that a phone is not connected. I have successfully copied all Images etc from the phone (memory card?) but the only way I know to get at the contact data is via PC suite, unless of course anyone knows differently.
