I have a Blackberry Torch which has been fantastic.Brought December 2011.I plugged the phone in to charge last night as usual and this morning when unplugging the phone the enitre socket came out of the phone and is now attached to the end of the charger. I phoned Carphone warehouse for advise about the repair of the phone under the warranty and was told the charger socket is not covered under the Blackberry Manufacturers warranty and any problems with the socket are down to wear and tear, which I would have to pay £160 or more to have it repaired.I can not find any warranty information on the internet. Please can you advise if this is the case. The phone is only under a year old and I have never mistreated the phone charger socket therefore I do not understand how such an issue could occur, unless there is a fault with the phone? I also have a blackberry curve for work and had no problems with the charger socket.
Just recently my Defy refuses to recharge using the mains socket charger connected to the usb cable. It charges perfectly well through the computer and also through my car socket..........what am I missing?
Took out a 24 month contract on vodafone in May this year with a curve 8520. When phone was charged I unplugged the charging cable and the port came out on the end of the cable (apparently a common fault with this model)
I returned the phone to Vodafone and they sent it away to be checked out, only to inform me that because I didn't take out insurance I am liable as they class it as physical damage. The phone should still be covered by a 1 year manufacturers warranty but nobody is interested in repairing or replacing it
I've had my blackberry bold 9790 for around 2 months now and have had no problems whatsoever with it, but the past couple of days the little black timer thing has been appearing more and more, and now it won't charge through my laptop or through the wall socket, it won't go past 2% and I've got no idea how to fix it, it never happened with my old bb, and charging this new one has been fine until now, help?
I cannot get my new torch 9810 to charge with a usb car charger. All the ones I have tried (4 brands) do not work. The phone does not recognize them as a charging source. They will charge my ipad, iphone 4s , curve and torch 9800 but not my 9810. I am reluctant to buy a charger for this phone only. Fustrated again with BB.
I am trying to charge my phone however either my usb cable is not working or something is wrong with the phone, I tried recharging both using pc and a socket neither seems to be working.
My blackberry torch got discharged yesterday and it wont just re-charge. I kept it overnight to charge but no joy, tried a different charger but no juice . After some fiddling I see the red light on the device when I plug-in my charger and see the lightning symbol for a few seconds before it gives way to an empty battery with a red cross. I have tried this procedure various times but no joy.
We have a BB wall charger (not 3rd party). It works perfectly with my Bold 9700 and it used to work with the Torch as well. All of a sudden it started not to charge the Torch (wall charger). You plug it in and there is no response from the phone whatsoever. But, if you plug it to your PC/Laptop it charges through the USB power.Another thing we noticed is that it no longer gives you any options like "usb drive" "sync media" or "charge only". Also, it is a bit wiggly on the phone side (fitting of the microUSB plug). It wasn't as wiggly before the problems, but there doesn't seem to be any obvious physical damage or any reason for a damage (as much as we know).
With all the problems bb having I tryed to reboot my mobile by pulling my battery, yes the battery was low but when I put it back in my phone was dead I have tried charging by usb and wall charger, my computer wont find it and I don't know what to do I also tried a new battery sill no good!
After I came home from work yesterday I decided to go charge my BB, but unfortunately what would always happen was that whenever I plugged in the charger, a red light would appear to blink on my BB and it wouldn't turn on or work, I then decided to let it charge over night to see if that would do the trick. Later this morning I checked on my Torch again to find out that it wouldn't even turn on still. I tried connecting it to the computer to see if it could charge from there but no luck was found. do a quick pull out of the battery and put it back in to see if a reboot would fix the problem, no luck. They then told me to do the same thing, only this time when the red light appears I'd hold the space button so that the BB would boot into safe mode, no luck. He then told me too try to reload the OS of my BB through BB Desktop Manager. Too bad I couldn't even connect my handheld to my computer.
see if there's anything else that I could do that would fix my BB. Note that I'd like a way in which I don't need to wipe my BB's memory, since I haven't backed up the data yet(I just bought this 2 days ago). But if I have too, I will.
Out of nowhere my phone will not charge using the wall charger. It will charge using the computer usb connection. I hadn't had the computer usb hookup connected for a long time bit I downloaded some photos. Ever since the wall charger hasn't worked.
Just bought a Nokia 5030. It's new and there isn't much information about it on the internet. I have seen a socket situated between the headset connector and the charger connector. It looks like a tiny small USB or something alike. I'd like to connect to it and see what comes out, and if I can input anything (music etc. I know there's only 8MB but still). Where can I get the cable? I'm curious about electronic in general, and would be happy to dig into the device.
I recently bought a Nokia 2730 Classic, but I am not able to browse internet on this phone through the Socket connection, like how the other Nokia 2330 Classic can do.For the Nokia 2330 Classic, I need just put the SIM into it and start the phone, then go to the configuration and just select Internet APN as the Access Point and the phone will work fine with Opera Mini and other Java applications like Ebuddy, Bolt Browser etc through "socket" connection", without the need to request the internet settings from my operator through SMS. But in the Nokia 2730 Classic when I put the same SIM into this phone and Select the same Internet APN as the Access point, I am not able to browse the internet on Opera Mini and I have to send SMS to my operator to get the settings.
The main problem here is that even after saving the internet Settings of my operator on the Nokia 2730 Classic, the internet does not work on in the Socket Connection, hence Opera Mini 4.2 and 5.1 (and other java applications which need the socket connection) will not install or work. (although the internet will work on the default browser of the phone)I am also able to connect the Nokia 2730 Classic to the computer and browse the internet through Data Cable / Bluetooth normally.I tried with another operator using an internet data plan, but got the same results.
Can someone please tell me how to adjust the settings correctly so that the Nokia 2730 will work on the Socket connection so that I can browse on Opera Mini 5.1 and 4.2 and other Java browsers and applications which work only on the Socket connection?Another strange issue is that after trying to use the internet on the Nokia 2730 (without any positive results), when I put the same SIM back into the Nokia 2330, the internet does not work for some hours on the socket connection and I have to use the http connection till then. Quite strange.
Can the electrical charger that comes with the Torch 9800 be used with 240 volt systems that exist in Europe or do I need to use an adapter or currency converter?
I bought Xperia Mini Pro last december and have been facing problems in charging the phone since last week. Whenever I plug in the phone to wall socket, it does not charge. With much difficulty, it charges extremely slowly when connected to PC. Can anyone suggest what could be the problem and how can I resolve it?
Does the micro usb socket at the bottom of the S2 just charge the phone and it carries no audio functions? All the audio comes out of the mini jack plug socket?
I have Xperia Z2 phone, with good LCD display, but this display won't show anything and phone works well. So i wan't to update my phone, but it requires that phone will be unlock, then i can update it.
My phone is broken, and there is a diary app that i logged each day of the progress of my son. Its very precious to me and i wont give up on getting to that app. Tge screen is broken, tried 3 replacement screens and it wont turn on. Tried new batteries too. Plugged it into a computer and it wont come up. There is a slight buzz sound when its plugged in, not sure what that means. All i need is the entries on that app.

I just picked up the iPhone 3gs on Monday and have two questions that. Forgot to find out before I got the phone. I bought a white iPhone 3gs and wanted to know is the phone still plagued with overheating and discoloration problems? Second question I am wondering if I buy a mophie juice pack air a coupple of months would that negatively affect my battery on the iPhone. What I mean by this is I heard that aged four hundred complete charges and draining of the iPhone battery the phones battery only holds 80% of the charge it use to. My question is does using a charger help increase time it takes the iphont to reach 400 chargeres quicker than it would if I did not use the charger?
I can charge my C5-03 with the Nokia AC-8 charger (included in the package. I can charge my C5-03 via USB form my PC desktop using the provided Nokia CA-101D data cable.I wasn't able, though, to charge my C5-03 using this Nokia CA-101D data cable plugged directly to a wall USB power adapter or to a car USB power adapter. I was able to get power using the same cable configuration to a wide list of devices that do support power via USB.
The 3rd Bold (My first 9700) also had a build quality issue. There was light leaks all around the phone. I returned this device and asked for a Bold 9000. The 4th Bold (9000) went okay. The keys clicked to loud (like something was wrong with the plastic. The speaker on it went out and I was sent to a warranty area. They exchanged it for another Bold 9000.
The 5th Bold (9000) was okay. The camera did not take clear pictures (Blurry) and the back would not stay on. It felt weird to type on. I called AT&T mulitiple times asking for another device. They finally gave in and I was given another Bold 9700. The 6th Bold (9700) was okay. The camera would not focus correctly and the quality was horrible. I had the settings at Superfine and Autofocus at Normal. I called AT&T and they sent me another Bold 9700. My bezel on the right side is loose and my LCD on the bottom left is also loose.
The 7th Bold (9700) was in my hands and when I went to try out the camera I clicked the camera button (the one on the right) and to my amazement the bloody thing was broken. It goes to camera but the button is lose or broken. I am sick of AT&T. Sick of their phones being broken. They have taken me through the ringer.
