Got a fairly major issue with my Sony Experia Z3 (on Virgin mobile contract). Had an update and now wifi and bluetooth won't turn on. Turning on it just flicks back. It's not my home wifi, and is definitely a software issue on the phone, (was working all day, updated as soon as I connected to my home network when I got back in the evening). Have tried restarting, factory data reset and re-installing 3 times via PC Companion. Nothing works.
I recently update my X8 to 2.1-update 1 and have been seeing problems with connecting to wifi. I had no issues before with connecting to a network, but now have been seeing the message : Data Connectivity Proble: The server failed to communicate. Try again later. This happens even though the network is detected to having good signal, but I can't actually use it. I have already tried restoring under the backup and restore function, restoring my system settings, but this does not work. I have also tried to download settings for internet, but this doesn't work either. Or is there a way to restore my old settings so that my wifi will work normally?
I updated Music Unlimited today from version 1.3.1 to 1.3.2 and it... just stopped working. If I'm online, it starts loading but at 47% it says that it can't connect to the server and the application exits. But the best part is that I cannot even use my offline playlists... if I start the application while offline, it says that I must be online to activate offline playlists! Incredible but true.
After the update this weekend, my 'desktop' shortcut to WIFI and BLUETOOTH have died. This scheme was set up through OS 5.0. Apple removed this scheme to configure this, so how do I put it back? (The update also killed my alarm clock and stand alone-battery charging too, but both of these I can live without...)
A friend gave me an old iPhone 3g running iOS 4.2.1. It has a broken wifi chip an apparent flaw in this model of phone. Are there anyways to have it get network access without using the cellular data network or wifi bands?
I have a 3gs that's been jailbroken with redsn0w, the current software is 3.0.1 and I want to update to 3.1.3. What steps do i take to update my phone? Do I just plug it into itunes and restore then download the new 3.1.3 and new version of redsnow and jail break like i originally did? Also what's the best way to save all my contacts, photos, music before I restore?
I currently have a jailbroken iphone 3GS with OS version 3.1.2 with AT&T. I have been searching the web with no luck on how to go about updating to 3.1.3 and keeping all my apps. I have made a backup of my phone, and was thinking about clicking update in itunes to 3.1.3 and then running spirit then doing a restore of the backup. Is this the right way i should be doing this?
after updating my iPhone I canīt tether via USB. The network connection shows up in control panel after connecting but says that the cable is disconnected.
Donīt know if Bluetooth or WLAN tethering would work, since I never used them before.
i have updated my xperia neo v to ICS from GB . it was successful but after update i am not able to connect to the wifi modem which i have used when it was GB. i think something seriously wrong with xperia update to ics. i tried to repair the software , after repair also the same problem occurs.

I have recently upgraded my Xperia Pro to Android 4.0.4. Since then, I cannot connect to my home WiFi network. The phone cycles in Obtaining IP -> WPA2 -> Connected -> Obtaining IP..... Occasionally, the phone will connect but only after a few hours of cycling.
My wife's Xperia Pro is still using Android 2.3.4 and the WiFi connection works fine.
Two identical phones with different Android versions. It is likely that the upgrade to 4.0.4 is the root cause of the problem. This upgrade wasautomatically recommended by the phone.
I can temporarily work around this problem by changing the home AP security to open. But this is unacceptable. I read that many people have WiFi problems after upgrading to 4.0.4. Will you be posting a patch anytime soon?
Before the 8.1 update, my 1520 used to connect perfectly to my car and allow me to:
1. Send and reply to texts using my voice only 2. Play music that was on my phone on the car audio system. 3. Make and answer calls through the car audio.
After the update, I can only make and answer calls.!When I receive a text, the message is read out and I can dictate a reply and correct it but no matter how many times I say "send", it NEVER sends it! It's almost like it can't recognise the word. It does recognise it though because I can use the word "send" in a message.
As for music, my car recognised that bluetooth audio is available and also the name of the track, but it won't play it at all.My phone behaves in exactly the same way in my wife's car too. Before the update, it worked perfectly there too.
I no longer have the option to connect my phone to my PC wirelessly.before I had the option via the menu Sony Erricon (now xperia) but here is something missing?
Since I moved to android 2.1 I've not been able to connect to the wifi at my work, even though it worked just fine on 1.6.(old forum posts I've found ages ago suggested that a similar issue occurred on android 1.6 but there was some kind of patch that fixed it. Is something like this available for 2.1 now?)
Hour ago, I had E7 running firmware 25.007. All features were running fine including Maps application. Under Menu - Apps - Program updates, I found new Nokia Maps application (Nokia Kartat). Selected and let it update. After successfull installation, my Maps application does not launch at all. If selecting Maps (Kartat in my Finnish localised phone) or Drive (Aja), the phone just popups an error 'Maps: Device does not support function' (Kartat: Laite ei tue toimintoa). Damn, how can I get my Maps app back?
Each time I turn off a bluetooth device and then turn it back on again, my phone no longer auto connects.I have been through all the settings. Is this a known bug with this OS release?
Last night my iPhone 4 was updating for iOS 7.1.2 and it was working perfectly fine until it froze 3/4 of the way.
It has been stuck on the Apple logo and progress bar for over 13 hours, I tried draining out the battery hoping it would turn off then restart but even when it was on 0% it would not turn off. I also cant do the hard reboot with the home and sleep/wake/lock button due to my lock button being broken (it has been broken for awhile now) I can't get it fixed at the moment but I really want to be able to use my phone, I also don't want to restore my phone because im scared im going to lose everything on it.Â
Since I updated to 2.3.3 late last year, I've not been able to get onto t'interweb. I can connect to wifi and to the network now, but pages won't load. I've downloaded an app to fix wifi but that hasn't sorted it either, and it doesn't matter which network I connect to.
I've tried static IP etc which gets me connected, but it doesn't get the pages loaded, and it worked before the update on all networks absolutely fine so it's not the routers that need sorting, it's the phone.
what else to try that preferably doesn't involve wiping the phone and starting again?
After 4.0.4 release installed I'm having problems using the hotspot function. my laptop connects as usual but I can't surf the web. there is no problem with my wireless connection (I use it with my home wireless router without further problems) but I can't open any website when it's connected using the hotspot (data option is also enable in the phone). How can I fix it??
After the update to 2.2 I can no longer disable the screen lock "slider". Has any been able to get it to work like it did in previous versions? I do not want to have to use the slider everytime the phone sleeps.
Before the gingerbread update, the LED worked great. It always blinked when I had a text message waiting for me, or anything else. After the gingerbread update, most of the time the LED won't blink if you lock the phone while still in the messaging app. It still works fine for everything else (Emails, calendar etc) but if you lock the phone before exiting out of the texting/messaging app, I would say %90 of the time the LED won't blink. If you exit the messaging app before you lock your phone, the LED works fine.
The LED worked great in froyo, sucks that's its kinda broken on gingerbread. Is this a known issue for Moto? Just adding in that I have already tried a factory reset and this did not resolve the issue.
I have a Nexus 6 that I absolutely love but I've just updated it to Lollipop and now my Gmail and Google Contacts are not syncing automatically. I've gone through all the settings about a million times and everything is setup properly. I'm currently using an app called Force Gmail Sync to keep my Google account synced up . It works great but I'd prefer to just be running Google apps on my phone and keep everything stock. I've tried a factory reset with no luck. Any secret way to set a sync frequency for Google's Gmail and Contacts apps without using a third party app?
During the last six months of so the problems with the hires camera in my SGS2 have turned from being just really annoying to fatal. Earlier, my camera or the firmware/software had poor abilities to focus the picture correctly giving blurry and random results. Later on, the saving or processing of the photos right after shooting were stopped by crashing of the samsung Camera software. This happened by camera app giving error message and then shutting down itself. Finally, after the firmware update (I9100XWLPG) about a week ago the camera has totally stopped working. The application shows no live picture and crashes after 10-15 sec. I cannot access the settings and the only thing the application does is that it turns the icons on screen along with the rotation of the phone.
I have Xperia Z2 phone, with good LCD display, but this display won't show anything and phone works well. So i wan't to update my phone, but it requires that phone will be unlock, then i can update it.
My phone stopped charging one day so I sent it in to Sony. They sent it back saying "physical damage, glue on connector broken".Now this phone is only a few months old.It has never been dropped or anything. If there was any damage to the connector, it came from plugging it in in a normal manner. So I called them back up and said that there is no way I caused any damage to the phone. The customer service person said that he would resubmit it and that I would hear back from them in 24 hours.
3 days later after hearing nothing, I called them and the guy told me that nothing was ever resubmitted and that they don't even do that.SO Sony sold me a phone that broke under 2 months of normal use, refuses to fix the problem, and then told me something completely untrue just to get me off the phone. That being said, has anyone had the glue break on their phone and is there anyway to fix it? I could deal with doing the battery swap and recharge thing but I really want to be able to update to gingerbread.
