After 4.0.4 release installed I'm having problems using the hotspot function. my laptop connects as usual but I can't surf the web. there is no problem with my wireless connection (I use it with my home wireless router without further problems) but I can't open any website when it's connected using the hotspot (data option is also enable in the phone). How can I fix it??

View 6 Replies View RelatedXperia Mini Pro (SK17i); I upgrade to ICS (4.0.4), Build Number: 4.1.B.0.431. After that Notification LED is not working for MISSED call, SMS Alert etc. when screen is OFF. However, it is working for Charging and E-mail (using K9). Checked in Service Menu and all the LED are working fine.
All the LEDs were working when using Gingerbread (2.3). Only after upgrading to ICS it is not working. Is this an issue with ICS?
My phone is Neo from 2011. I have uninstalled the flash app, and then reinstalled, even installed chrome browser, but I only see a small icon with an arrow, where flash should be plaing. I have been in settings to see that it is enabled.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter updating the x10mp to 2.1, I have lost the ability to use the camera to take pictures. The camera does work for recording videos, saves them too. What happens is that when I take a picture, the camera makes the shutter sound, and then just goes to a blank dark screen. The phone is still on and can go back to the menus. I have tried different sd card, multiple updates, factory resets so far.

The on-screen keypad seems to work OK.Anybody seen this after updating their mini-pros....Checked that 'Xperia keyboard' service is running. The input method in the keyboard setting is 'Xperia keyboard'.

I simply connect the USB to computer and phone, Click Start in PC Companion (in File Manager). I drag and drop my pictures from 'My pictures' to 'images' and the pictures does appear in the folder of 'image' but once I disconnect the USB so I can access the photos in the phone, it's nowhere to be found. I'm not sure what's wrong with the card or the phone, I've tried deleting pictures from the folder ('image') that I open in the computer but once I disconnect to check if the images I deleted are gone, they are still there. It's like the SD card is not even connected or being read by my phone? The weird part is that it use to work before I updated the phone to 4.0.4. The file sizes and formats are identical... Music and other files don't show in the phone at all either.

A friend suggested that it may just need updating, which made sense because I'd been getting update notifications, just hadn't got round to hooking my ohone up to my laptop. So I did just that and installed the 'companion' but when I try to update, it's asking me to insert a memory card. I've never taken it out! Not once. View 2 Replies View RelatedJust wanted to share my experience. I did the update on November 8. I didn't bother to do the backup. The only real important is the contacts and Google have them already. I used the Update Service tool and it worked like a charm. After restarting the phone I had to go through the setup wizard, which by the way is much improved. I now realized that I had lost all my downloaded applications. I downloaded them again from market. Most of them had all the old data, nice. Some games lost all history, no big deal really. My contacts, mail and calendar was downloaded from Google.
I realy like the fact that it is possible to send contacts by SMS. The images from facebook also works very well.
The one thing that I am still not used to is the unlooking. The habbit of pressing the menu button twice is had to kick. I think the new way with the slider is somewhat safer.Now I am waiting 2.2 with tethering. I hope this will be available for X10 mini some time in the future.
Spotlight search is no longer searching anything! I type swipe down and type and nothing happens. Hitting the search button on the keyboard hyst gives the Web and Wikipedia buttons. A reset will hopefully fix it but I was wondering if there was a quicker alternative.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my mini pro to ICS, it works fine in the first few moments until I realized that my phone can't:
1. Show any album art/cover from the music player. I've tried using the Sony Media Go to add the album arts to the file properties, still it didn't work. Only the 'default' songs from the product i.e brett5000: Globalization, missquerada: Far from love, and 2 others, can display their album cover
2. Update songs. Any new songs that I put into my phone through Sony Media Go aren't shown in the music player, only the old ones are present (though I've deleted it). I found the files when I opened it using a file manager program from the Play Store, but when I played it, none of its properties are present except the title of the song itself. It's not even present in the music player
How do I prevent Update Manager showing me recent the firmware update? My device is working fine at the moment and there is no reason to change this.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI received a message on my XPeria Mini Pro about the 4.1.B.0.587 Update. In fact, I can not install it. When I start the PC Companion software, it finds the connected Phone. Then I click on update. In the following window I click "Accept" and then the software should prepare the PC for the update. But after one second it stops and returns to Start without any comment. When I start Sony Mobile Update Service then it checks for new updates. As soon as the check is over, the program terminates without any comment. Is there a third way to upgrade?
