After the update to 2.2 I can no longer disable the screen lock "slider". Has any been able to get it to work like it did in previous versions? I do not want to have to use the slider everytime the phone sleeps.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just left iOS for Android and the thing I missed the most from my iphone is the light-up-lock-screen functionaly in which I don't have to pick-up my phone to see the notification light up on my locked screen. Instead of this cool feature, my S6 gives a vibration or the LED lights up without automatically light up the screen which is annoying cause I need to pick up my phone and hit the home button to see the notifications.Can I had this feature on my besides that superb S6?

Until then everything was fine.Now when I plug my Bravo into a USB port, I hear a chime, but no window opens.When I go to My Computer, the phone is shown as Removeable Disk (X:).When I double click on it, a small window opens with this message: "Insert Disk.Please insert a disk into drive X:." Under properties, it appears as Motorola MB520 USB Device, a disk drive.After plenty of research, I have tried changing the assigned letter of the drive twice.Every other USB device I own works just fine on my PC. The only way I can access the phone on my PC is to turn off the pc, connect the phone, power on the pc, and then the phone appears as a phone. When I connect the phone to another pc, the phone appears as it should.Some research shows this problem may be related to Acronis on my pc, but another pc with Acronis on it can recognize my phone. Could this be the result of disconnecting the phone without "preparing" the disconnect?
View 5 Replies View RelatedLast night my iPhone 4 was updating for iOS 7.1.2 and it was working perfectly fine until it froze 3/4 of the way.
It has been stuck on the Apple logo and progress bar for over 13 hours, I tried draining out the battery hoping it would turn off then restart but even when it was on 0% it would not turn off. I also cant do the hard reboot with the home and sleep/wake/lock button due to my lock button being broken (it has been broken for awhile now) I can't get it fixed at the moment but I really want to be able to use my phone, I also don't want to restore my phone because im scared im going to lose everything on it.Â
setting up a Bravo MB520 to work correctly with Consumer Cellular Service. Which fields have to be set up to make the Data work? Is there a good guide to explain all the software in setup for instance? Or how do I get an unlock code to get the phone away from other networks?

I have uninstalled and installed again but same results - ZERO traffic content.
I just updated via bravo . once it reset and installed update. it reloads and wifi is off. I re connect to prior connection and it scans then disconnects. I need the wifi because ATT will charge you your first born for data usage. MOTO current Android version says 2.2.1. I dont want to be violated.

When I touch the "revert" button, the screen goes black except for the notification bar.I then need to hit the HOME button to get started.Is there some parameter that controls what "starts up" on wake-up?

I have tried two refurb phones from ATT and a new battery, and it still does it. I even got a new SD card, thinking that maybe it was a memory issue. View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter my Atrix was updated last week, I have been having problems (as with many others, it seems). My most glaring issues is that the screen does not go 'inactive' when I place a phone call and put the phone up to my ear.
Consequently, my cheek will press all sorts of buttons on the phone while I'm talking, and may times it turns out to be the Mute or EndCall button. When the End Call is hit, the phone actually locks up and needs to be rebooted.
It basically makes me have to place all of my phone calls on speakerphone in order to be useful.
After updating to 2.3.4, I am not able to change screen lock to "pattern". Option for "Pattern" is disabled and says Disabled by remote phone administrator. I tried de-selecting all the apps listed in Device Administrators but no luck. I even removed my work email (Corporate Sync) and then restarted the phone...again...no luck. Right now I have PIN and Fingerprint setup.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe multimedia key on my Nokia N79 is broken (nr 3 in the picture). My plan was to map the 'multimedia menu' functionality on the left selection key (nr 2). But the 'multimedia menu' doesn't appear in the list of possible mappings. It is also impossible to reach the 'multimedia menu' via the normal menu.
Conclusion: if the multimedia key is broken, it appears that it is impossible to use the 'multimedia menu'
Does anyone know a workaround? Or, if Nokia is reading this, can you add the 'multimedia menu' to the mapping-options for the selection keys?
I am having an issue where i receive the standard unlock screen even though I have a password configured. If I use the slide menu I am never prompted for my password. There are also times when the normal unlock screen will flash up and then go straight to my password.
Current configuration: PIN, lock screen after 5 sec, lock immediatly on power press.
This only happens when I allow the screen to go to sleep on it's own. If i press the power button I am not seeing the issue.
How this work "Side lock Key functionality”. Should we Change Something in Settings?? or somewhere else? And How Should We USE IT??? by Holding The Key In Up And Down Position?

I'm pretty sure my watch updated correctly (but I don't have it with me to verify as I write this), and the new pause sure seems identical to the old pause. There was a thread a while back where people discussed ways to reduce the likelihood of prematurely ending the workout by hitting the "end workout" touchscreen button, and cool things that could be made available at the pause screen. I saw "Improve "Pause" functionality during workouts" as one of the improvements with the latest software, and got excited that some or all of those suggestions had been implemented. I have pressed all buttons and swiped every which way and have not found any changes.

It always blinked when I had a text message waiting for me, or anything else.After the gingerbread update, most of the time the LED won't blink if you lock the phone while still in the messaging app. It still works fine for everything else (Emails, calendar etc) but if you lock the phone before exiting out of the texting/messaging app, I would say %90 of the time the LED won't blink. If you exit the messaging app before you lock your phone, the LED works fine.
The LED worked great in froyo, sucks that's its kinda broken on gingerbread. Is this a known issue for Moto? Just adding in that I have already tried a factory reset and this did not resolve the issue.
Is there a way to replace a broken screen on the Moto Droid? Even with protection, it was dropped and shattered. I saw a link on how to disassemble the DroidX, but how can you get a new screen?

A freakish issue but Verizon claims it is not covered under normal warranty until told by motorolo. Anyone else had or heard of this issue? I really wish it was covered under Motorola but don't know yet.

Needless to say, my screen broke and I have a new phone arriving today. But I had a few text that I had protected because they were important to me (one a picture of my baby and the second her first text she ever sent) and wondering if there is a way to access the phone through my computer and retrieve the text messages? I can open up the phone folders on my computer, but not sure if there is anything I can do from there.

I got the insurance replacement phone on Monday, and realized that my SMS backup app decided to save the backed up texts on the phone's internal memory instead of the sd card, like you would expect it to, as you are backing things up in case something like this happens...I went to retrieve the file from the internal storage by connecting it to my computer and here is the weird thing that happens when i do that:
When I go into Computer on Windows 7, it shows the motocast removable drive, and two other ghosted removable drives, that would normally be the MOTO and sd card drives, but for some reason it says that they ccannot be opened because a disk needs to be inserted into the drives..I have no idea what I can do to get around this and access the internal storage.
