I have the xperia mini pro. I have set up the email account in settings and all the notifications are ticked but dont seem to be notified when an email is delivered to that email address. how do I get a notification of an email?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've set my gmail account as the default mail-account on my x10 mini pro, but the phone doesn't seem to reteive the mails automatically. I thought that when I set the sync-schedule to once an hour, then the phone would check my gmailaccount for new mails and notify me. I've tested this and the only time I get a notification is when I manually tell the phones mail-client to sync. Am I just a stupid user that donät know how to work the phone, or do I have to set up a sync-schedule for gmail?

Everytime inbox needs to refreshed inorder to see new mails. Same with Gmail app installed on phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEarlier this week I had a Z3 Compact paired with an Audi MMI in-car system. When a new email was received I would get a notification on the MMI display screen. Since changing to a Z3+ these notifications have stopped. If I search through the folders of the MMI system I can find the new message, however there is no initial alert that a new message has arrived and in the default inbox the MMI system says "no messages to display". I do however receive a notification when an SMS arrived. Bluetooth settings on the phone show that MAP is active.

Since the E72 home screen can ONLY fit 2 accounts (primary and secondary), my other 6 email accounts are left in cold. There are NO notifications whatsoever for these accounts - no flashing lights, no email icon on the bottom of the screen, no sound, etc.Yet, when I go into the email app and find the six other email accounts, there are new messages!Even on an old E61 there is email notifications on the home screen for all the accounts.Perhaps nobody in the Nokia development team has more than two email accounts?

I have my phone set to Push and Fetch for manual check to help conserve battery, and when I check, I will see the email come in, but no notification sound/vibrate. Even on fetch it does it. And from appx. 5 mins and on I will finally hear the notification ding or vibrate. I called apple care- they walked me through resetting all network settings.. that did not work, I also restore my phone.. and that did not work..

I need it to display the number of unread emails on the icon (I think the little circled number is called a badge?), but do NOT want my phone making a notification sound every time an email comes in. This is really annoying in the middle of the night, especially when it's from spam emails.
When I go into the email app, and choose <menu> --> Settings --> <email account name> --> Notifications --> Notification Sound, a list of folders at /storage/emulated/0 appears instead of a list of tone sounds and a None option. I don't know what to do at this point to disable the notification sound.
Using stock email app for outlook 365 account. The only way to get the email icon to clear from the notification bar is to swipe down and hit clear. Opening the email app and reading all unread emails does not clear the notification bar.

I constantly have a new e-mail notification in the top left hand corner on my Curve 8350. I've already tried removing the battery and I've thoroughly checked my e-mail and there is nothing new.
