BB Curve :: Email Envelope Notification When There Is No?
Jul 4, 2012I updated my blackberry 9360 yesterday and since then I have had an email notification envelope I have been through absolutely everything but there is no evidence of any message except this envelope.

Mar 1, 2012I have a Bold 9650 and the notification envelope will not go away. I have tried re-booting it by downloading an app and then rebooting the system, but to no avail. So basically... I see the envelope at the top of the screen, I see a number (2) but when I try to see what the notification is... it says "You currently have no notifications".

Mar 17, 2010I have the icon sayin that i have an unopened email but when i looked there was nothing that i had not read yet.. i did a battery pull (my first instinct) and then clicked marked all open in the options menu and it is still there there is no red * next to the icon just the envelope with the number 1. i also checked my vmail and deleted all vmails and it is still there please help!

Aug 29, 2010The e-mail Icons on my BB used to be an envelope with a red asterisk if there was new mail. When you read the mail, the asterisk went away. All of a sudden, the envelope is outlined in red and there is a smaller red envelope where the asterick used to be. Even after I read the new emails, the smaller red envelope stays red.

I have my phone set to Push and Fetch for manual check to help conserve battery, and when I check, I will see the email come in, but no notification sound/vibrate. Even on fetch it does it. And from appx. 5 mins and on I will finally hear the notification ding or vibrate. I called apple care- they walked me through resetting all network settings.. that did not work, I also restore my phone.. and that did not work..

However, I'm no longer seeing any new emails coming in via the notification center, e.g. on the lock screen. I see them come in with another account that's remained exchange. are new emails only shown in the notification center if they come from an exchange account?

May 30, 2012Suddenly, I stopped receiving any push notifications from mail. I tried reset, deleting and adding account, toggle through all notifiction options, restarting the phone. I also have problem receiving notifications from facebook. rest of all app notification works fine.

Apr 12, 2010Justed purchase from Rogers Bold 9700 v5.0.0.351, IT no help from company nor Rogers. I am getting email notification icon from BES but no email is updated or found. Rogers told me to upload the OS again and cannot delete the service books since the BES reloads them again. Unusual problem.SMS works though.

Jan 29, 2010I have a Bold 9700, AT&T, v5.0.0.602 (Platform 5.1.0.112)I will look on my phone and there will be the envelope icon telling me I have 3 messages (as an example). The message folder concurs, it tells me that I have 3 messages. Yet when I open the Messages folder there are NO MESSAGES. I check my 3 email folders and NO MESSAGES. These envelopes won't go away. I took the phone to the nearby store where I purchased it. The kind gentleman took out the battery and replaced it. That took care of the problem for one day, then the icon reappeared. I took it back and the lady told me it was a "phone issue" and that under warranty I should get a new phone. So I did. A day and a half later, more envelope icons. I'm not taking it back again.
