i have a ridiculous problem with E52. On the main screen on top right corner is always flashing envelope, despite the fact I have no new message. I have already deleted all messages several times, restarted mobile, took the battery out, nothing helped.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince I first set up my phone three days ago, I have had a small flashing envelope next to a small line arrow on the bottom left of my screen, to the left of the time. I do not have any unread messages, nor do I have any unplayed voicemail ... also, I have not set up an email account, so it is not unread email either.Does anyone have any ideas what it is and how I can get rid of it? Anyone had the same problem? I can't find anything in the manual to explain it and would appreciate any advice.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently got the excellent E72, so I unlocked my old 5800 xpress music so my wife could have a decent phone (it was on T mobile she is on Orange), everything works fine however I have a flashing envelope icon in the top right hand corner, when I touch this it says "sim memory full", I have deleted all the contacts etc from the sim and moved them to the phone memory but it still persists, can anyone tell me how to stop this ?, its not a major problem but I'd like to stop it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago, I had an issue where i wasn't getting sms alerts. I put it down to a one off or me just missing them. However, I'ts happened again.My inbox had 3 messages, that I'd not heard a beep for, I had no little envelope icon and no "New Message" alert on the main screen.
As a test, we sent a message to my phone, the message hit the inbox, but there were no notificataions. I changed the profile and sent another text.. same again, no notifications.I rebooted the phone and sent another message.. this time everything worked OK.I'm using a standard message tone as the tone alert..
I had no problem with sending sms till I sent MMS once and it didn't work. The symbol of moving envelope just came up in the upper part of display and it didn't disappeared since. From that moment I cant send any SMS or MMS, I can receive them but not send. I tried to reset phone, change my sim but the problem is still the same - I cant send sms or mms and the symbol of envelope is still there. My memory isn't full and everything seems to be fine.

I've got an X6... Basically my calendar doesn't open up... I click on it the little red dot on the corner flashes as if its loading up, but nothing. The screen flashes and nothing happens, I can't access none of the dates or bday entries, meetings or to do notes...!!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI read many many E52 phones suffer Internal GPS fix problems. I don't beleve this is an hardware problem, but only a software bug. My experiments say this:
1) Start phone, start Ovi Maps -> No lock at all. (only 1 blinking line in bottom left corner)
2) Start phone, start McGuider (Sygic) navigator -> E52 locks quite immedeately. (in the same place!!)
3) After GPS is locked, start Ovi Maps again. Now also Maps works great!
4) Also the gps built-in application under Menu->Applications->GPS->GPS Data has the same behaviour as Ovi Maps.
I have a 3710 Fold. There is an annoying ringing bell icon in the top right corner of most of the screens except the main home screen..Im not too sure why it is threre and would like to remove it..
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy N8 displays a rapidly changing numbers in the top right hand corner of the screen when in portrait mode and in the center of the screen when held in landscape. The numbers change all the time and are in the format xx.x, e.g. 24.2, 16.6 and so on.
When I first noticed it I did a hard reset using *#7370# which made it go away, but it returned next time my phone restarted after it upgraded an ovi twitter app.
This is the problem that I have been facing since I have purchased this phone(2years now). I am not using nokia push mail or even nokia mails at all. I have selected packet data Connection setting as "When Needed".
This happens every time I connect to the internet using mobile network and then remains there forever until either I restart Phone or go to offline mode. This is so annoying because it is not using any data though it is there.

my wife and I both have an AT&T Lumia 920. We both setup Kids Corner and are both experiencing the exact same behavior as what users are complaining about here: [URL]
To summarize, Kids Corner requires our PIN to get access to it, if enough time has passed for the PIN timeout to come into effect. This was completely unexpected for us both. We feel like it is a bug & not the proper behavior of this feature based on the way it was marketed. It seems to us to somewhat defeat the purpose, or at least be more cumbersome to use with the current behavior.
I am seeking an official response from Microsoft or Nokia, as to whether the behavior we are expecting is indeed the intended behavior. If so, we are certainly interested in a feature enhancement that would give the user an extra option in the Kids Corner settings to disable the requirement for a PIN at any time (regardless of the normal PIN timeout setting).
At the top left of my N8 there is this blinking envelope and the 'sim card full' msg. appears as I touch it. no contacts and no sms on the sim card. Contacts > Options > Memory > SIM Memory - shows 0 Contact persons and Free=500.All SMS msgs are deleted (no unread sms).How to have this blinking stop?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9700, AT&T, v5.0.0.602 (Platform 5.1.0.112)I will look on my phone and there will be the envelope icon telling me I have 3 messages (as an example). The message folder concurs, it tells me that I have 3 messages. Yet when I open the Messages folder there are NO MESSAGES. I check my 3 email folders and NO MESSAGES. These envelopes won't go away. I took the phone to the nearby store where I purchased it. The kind gentleman took out the battery and replaced it. That took care of the problem for one day, then the icon reappeared. I took it back and the lady told me it was a "phone issue" and that under warranty I should get a new phone. So I did. A day and a half later, more envelope icons. I'm not taking it back again.
