I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to get rid of the little flashing envelope at the bottom of my screen next to the Bluetooth icon? I don't have any unopened emails or SMS messages, so unsure of why it is flashing.
View 6 RepliesSince I first set up my phone three days ago, I have had a small flashing envelope next to a small line arrow on the bottom left of my screen, to the left of the time. I do not have any unread messages, nor do I have any unplayed voicemail ... also, I have not set up an email account, so it is not unread email either.Does anyone have any ideas what it is and how I can get rid of it? Anyone had the same problem? I can't find anything in the manual to explain it and would appreciate any advice.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently got the excellent E72, so I unlocked my old 5800 xpress music so my wife could have a decent phone (it was on T mobile she is on Orange), everything works fine however I have a flashing envelope icon in the top right hand corner, when I touch this it says "sim memory full", I have deleted all the contacts etc from the sim and moved them to the phone memory but it still persists, can anyone tell me how to stop this ?, its not a major problem but I'd like to stop it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago, I had an issue where i wasn't getting sms alerts. I put it down to a one off or me just missing them. However, I'ts happened again.My inbox had 3 messages, that I'd not heard a beep for, I had no little envelope icon and no "New Message" alert on the main screen.
As a test, we sent a message to my phone, the message hit the inbox, but there were no notificataions. I changed the profile and sent another text.. same again, no notifications.I rebooted the phone and sent another message.. this time everything worked OK.I'm using a standard message tone as the tone alert..
i recently became the owner of an e5 and since i powered the phone up i have had this random envelope symbol flashing on my main screen, at the bottom under the tool bar.i have no messages in my inbox and no voicemails, so am totally clueless as to what it is and how to get rid of it

quick question.....I have the Wi-Fi Xoom and just got my update to 3.1.....noticed what appear to be up and down arrows in the middle of the wi-fi icon in the bottom right of the screen.....checked the settings and all appears to be well....is the wi-fi trying to tell me something....or will this be the norm??

View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried opening Device manager (not desktop manager) to fix the gps problem on my phone per a thread i found right here on crackberry. I downloaded all the necessary software to do the fix, but when i open up Device Manager, i only get an icon on the quicklaunch bar on the bottom right side of the screen, once i open it, all it shows me is "Properties" and it doesnt open the actual Device Manager.

When i dial into voicemail it tells me there are no messages.I Have rang my network provider(3) they did a restore on my phone using itunes on my computer(remotely)but the circle is still there.I took it to my local Apple store(Milton Keynes) when he took the sim card out with the phone still switched on it dissapeared.But when he reinserted the sim it came back.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 6 month old iPhone 5c is flashing the apple icon it then says hook to iTunes so when hooked to iTunes it acknowledges the iTunes and says phone in recovery mode? Then it prompts me to restore phone i go through the whole restore process and at the end it says error code 9.... I cannot afford a new phone i know its under warranty still but unsure if warranty will cover it bc the plastic around the screen has a few wear and tear marks ...

I have a Bold 9700, AT&T, v5.0.0.602 (Platform 5.1.0.112)I will look on my phone and there will be the envelope icon telling me I have 3 messages (as an example). The message folder concurs, it tells me that I have 3 messages. Yet when I open the Messages folder there are NO MESSAGES. I check my 3 email folders and NO MESSAGES. These envelopes won't go away. I took the phone to the nearby store where I purchased it. The kind gentleman took out the battery and replaced it. That took care of the problem for one day, then the icon reappeared. I took it back and the lady told me it was a "phone issue" and that under warranty I should get a new phone. So I did. A day and a half later, more envelope icons. I'm not taking it back again.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently performed a battery pull to re-establish connection with the local EDGE network, and as expected, all the emails that I received while not in contact with EDGE came flooding in. What also appeared was an icon I've never seen before, an orange envelope with a sort or ribbon encircling it, and it only appears in front of the "Email Messages" icon, not the "Messages" or "SMS and MMS" icons, and is not accompanied by the usual tiny envelope icon with the number next to it that appears on the Home Screen whenever I have new messages. I've emptied out the Email folder, but it's still there.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just got a Nokia E72 and have managed to self teach how to operate all the functions I can see needing, ( no thanks to the paper manual the phone came with). Unfortunately from day 1 there has been a black + white envelope icon flashing at the very bottom of the screen. It can't be reached by the navigator and I have no unread messages nor are the message boxes full.
I have read the manual cover to cover and pressed every help button in the phone to no avail. how to stop this flashing icon as it is starting to drive me crazy. Other than that it seems like a really good phone.
i have just bought a Nokia N8 and i have a flashing message icon in the top right of the screen yet i have no messages left on the handset.
P.S. Is there an easy way of connecting to new wifi networks without having to go through the connectivity window
