I've just taken delivery of a brand new replacement N86 handset, switched it on and the message icon is flashing at the top - but I don't have any messages.
I also got a "your my nokia set up failed" message or something but I wasn't aware i'd tried to set anything up...?
I have the E72 nokia and in the middle bottom of my phone there is a continous flahing mail icon which I am not sure what it means or how to aknowledge or remove it.

I have tired every single way for removing it but all in vain, i even tried resetting the factory setting i dunt know where it came from, emptying inbox outbox everything but nothing works. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just got a Nokia E72 and have managed to self teach how to operate all the functions I can see needing, ( no thanks to the paper manual the phone came with). Unfortunately from day 1 there has been a black + white envelope icon flashing at the very bottom of the screen. It can't be reached by the navigator and I have no unread messages nor are the message boxes full.
I have read the manual cover to cover and pressed every help button in the phone to no avail. how to stop this flashing icon as it is starting to drive me crazy. Other than that it seems like a really good phone.
i have just bought a Nokia N8 and i have a flashing message icon in the top right of the screen yet i have no messages left on the handset.
P.S. Is there an easy way of connecting to new wifi networks without having to go through the connectivity window
I recently got the excellent E72, so I unlocked my old 5800 xpress music so my wife could have a decent phone (it was on T mobile she is on Orange), everything works fine however I have a flashing envelope icon in the top right hand corner, when I touch this it says "sim memory full", I have deleted all the contacts etc from the sim and moved them to the phone memory but it still persists, can anyone tell me how to stop this ?, its not a major problem but I'd like to stop it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
so whenever i make a phonecall the headphone icon keeps flashing like i'm pluging the headphone in and out , so i don't hear the other one and he doesn't hear me !! that's not permenant , sometimes everything just goes normal

View 3 Replies View RelatedI seem to have a problem, with the sms messages sent by my carrier, i am not able to see them (for example when i check my cost control), they do not appear in the inbox. But every time i request something from my carrier, and should receive a message, a blue icon on the right top side of the screen appears, right next to the profile name. Now i now this has something to do with the message, the thing is that i don't know how to read that. i've tried searching in the SIM message, but nothing, i've tried reading the manual again, but still no answer.

Then it prompts me to restore phone i go through the whole restore process and at the end it says error code 9.... I cannot afford a new phone i know its under warranty still but unsure if warranty will cover it bc the plastic around the screen has a few wear and tear marks ...

My green blinking LED notification keeps flashing when screen times out but there no messages that I can find on my phone and my battery is fully charged. Could this be a lag issue with my e-mail ISP? It does nto matter if I am using 3G or WiFi. Seems to have just started in last week or so.

It's an AT&T phone and their logo is right in the middle of it. When I go in to the BBM application, there is Nothing new; no invites, messages, or group chats. I recently deleted someone and put them on the ignore list so is this them trying to communicate with me? I took them off the ignore list but the icon still remains new on my home screen. It's really starting to bother me and I can't get rid of it. I've restarted my phone by turning it off as well as a battery pull.

I just got a new bb today and when all my data got transferred over, my new one is now saying that I have 3 unread messages. I've deleted all old messages, emails and voicemails. I also removed my email account from my phone and it is still there. I'm not sure what else to check or how to get rid of it.
