For some reason I cannot change notification sounds in each of these apps. It just falls back to the system notifications sounds. Do I need to change app permissions to allow for this change?
OK, gmail seems to work. Now just hangouts not working.
not long had my s2 and do like it a lot, when trying to use the built in alarm (from going in the clock icon), when ever i try to set time it constantly has the alarm sound as 'good morning' and i am having to set the sound to the sound i want every time i create a new alarm, is there anyway to set the phone up so anytime i create an alarm it will use the sound i want by default?

View 4 Replies View RelatedPrior to the GB update there was an option to trigger a Notification Sound only on receipt of the first email. Upon receipt of subsequent emails, the phone would remain silent. I cannot find a similar setting in GB.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got an LG G3, and I have a Yahoo email account set up on it. I need it to display the number of unread emails on the icon (I think the little circled number is called a badge?), but do NOT want my phone making a notification sound every time an email comes in. This is really annoying in the middle of the night, especially when it's from spam emails.
When I go into the email app, and choose <menu> --> Settings --> <email account name> --> Notifications --> Notification Sound, a list of folders at /storage/emulated/0 appears instead of a list of tone sounds and a None option. I don't know what to do at this point to disable the notification sound.
Last week I posted issues I was having getting into my phone after multiple attempts to down load Ver 2.0 of Docs2Go all of which failed.Well having managed to get back into my phone via desktop manager I was able to remove the offending application which enabled me to use the phone again.
I had to re-install the OS and then restore from a backup, however now I receive no email notification sounds. I'm only receiving visual led notifications due to having berrybuzz loaded as this also stopped working. All the profiles are correctly set and the sound is turned on in each, yet I'm unable to receive an audiable warning of new emails.
For the last 2 days I have been getting a notification sound (that I've never heard before) when I get a new email and it continues to go off until I actually open my email. I have checked every setting I can think of and no luck.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have rebooted, contacted Verizon numerous times, been routed to a Level II technician, but nothing seems to solve the only intermittent problem of getting no notification sound when I get an email. The problem started out getting no ringtone sound when I got a call. Verizon finally fixed that by enabling something on advanced calling in their network. That took numerous trips to the Verizon store. Then, two days ago, I went back to Verizon with my wife to look at the iphone6 for her. I casually mentioned the notification problem to the salesperson, who said the problem was probably due to my downloaded sounds, and that I should stick to the sounds on the phone. I promptly went home and removed the downloaded sounds, but the problem persists. Because the problem is intermittent, no one has been able to fix it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt's a really basic thing, i go into sounds and notifications, ringtones and sounds, email, tap on the email address i want to set, i change the notification sound to what i want, i hear the preview and i'm done. HOWEVER, it will not play that sound. no matter what i do it plays the little bike bell. I've tried to change it directly from email settings, no matter what i do the sound wont change and it wont vibrate. ringtone for phone and text, and everything else changes fine. just not email. i've rebooted, and cleaned cache partition.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I send myself an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification other than the LED. No sound even though I have the notification sound on in settings and the volume up.
Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
In my motor blur account i have several email accounts but only one make a sound when it come in. Is there away to kill the sound for that email come in without turn off the sound on the phone it is yahoo.com email my other email donot make sound and only show in my notification when drop the screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm a relatively new X2 and Android user (2 weeks). When I receive emails on my X2 they are accompanied by a certain sound. I'd like to change this sound, but when I go to Settings > Sound > Notification Ringtone, the sound that is checked under this option is the sound that I receive for text messages. Where would I change the ringtone for email?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't understand why my smstone is much louder than my ringtone. Just bought this phone 2 days ago, and it's not possible to set smstone and ringtone loudness separately, like it is on my previous phone LG G2. When I set the tone so I can hear my ringtone, the smstone is way to loud. And if I turn it down so the smstone is not loud, I can't hear when my phone rings.
