View 2 RepliesI have rebooted, contacted Verizon numerous times, been routed to a Level II technician, but nothing seems to solve the only intermittent problem of getting no notification sound when I get an email. The problem started out getting no ringtone sound when I got a call. Verizon finally fixed that by enabling something on advanced calling in their network. That took numerous trips to the Verizon store. Then, two days ago, I went back to Verizon with my wife to look at the iphone6 for her. I casually mentioned the notification problem to the salesperson, who said the problem was probably due to my downloaded sounds, and that I should stick to the sounds on the phone. I promptly went home and removed the downloaded sounds, but the problem persists. Because the problem is intermittent, no one has been able to fix it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm a relatively new X2 and Android user (2 weeks). When I receive emails on my X2 they are accompanied by a certain sound. I'd like to change this sound, but when I go to Settings > Sound > Notification Ringtone, the sound that is checked under this option is the sound that I receive for text messages. Where would I change the ringtone for email?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X2. For the past couple of weeks, I have lost notification sound at times throughout the day. The phone is not in silence mode and nothing has changed. I will notice it is vibrating without but there is no notificaiton. If I turn the phone off and back on, the sound returns.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem when I dock my Droid X2 I get the notification sound every few minutes. This is very annoying so I muted my phone and this is fine until it time to wake up and the alerm doesnt sounds because I muted my phone. So my question is how to I stop the phone form playing the notificate every few minutes or how do I turn off the docking notification. I see nothing in the dock settings which is where it has been on every other android phone I have owned.
View 15 Replies View RelatedSince the 2.3.4 update (and the factory reset that went with it) I'm getting my notification sounds at night while in the charging cradle. I thought the cradle software was supposed to automatically mute those notification sounds, but there must be something I've not set right somewhere. Anyone know how to fix it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've searched here and several other forums without success for an answer to how to suppress the notification sound that occurs when inserting the Droid 3 into the HD dock. I did see another thread that seems to mention this but it deals more with ongoing notifications throughout the night and I don't have any problems with that. don't want to use silent mode because I want calls to come through, but I don't want the notification sound to play on insert. I've tried the Bedside dock app becuase it selectively suppresses notification sounds (no email alert, can choose phone or SMS alerts). Bedside works great to handle email notifications but it insn't active until after the dock insert sound has played. This is a real nusiance when my wife is already asleep when I place the phone in the dock.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I send myself an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification other than the LED. No sound even though I have the notification sound on in settings and the volume up.
Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
In my motor blur account i have several email accounts but only one make a sound when it come in. Is there away to kill the sound for that email come in without turn off the sound on the phone it is yahoo.com email my other email donot make sound and only show in my notification when drop the screen.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwith the JB update, using either the lockscreen or power-buttion sound on/off toggle, could have sworn that it would turn off the Ringer AND Notificatiuon sounds to quickly put the phone into vibrate mode for the two sounds. Thought that ICS had both go to vibrate.
Is this by design or glitch?. I'm forced to go to sounds and put the Notification all the way down to achieve my quieting the phone when I need to.
Every time I reboot my phone I lose notification sound for the first incoming text message. After the first it returns as normal. It always vibrates normally. Any ideas? I checked sound settings and they are all maxed out after a reboot, but still no sound until the second text message.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen she receives a text message, there is no sound/vibrate notification. In settings/sound & notification, the notification volume is turned all the way up, and it's also set to vibrate for calls. She receives audio notification of other messages(Facebook, pintrest). We have Verizon for our provider.

View -1 Replies View RelatedI leave my phone in the dock by my bed and have a timeframe smart action set to turn off all ringers but I can't seem to find a way to turn off the notification light. It gets kind of annoying to wake up to get a drink and see that light flashing because of a new email like a new photon or an email. If I could set a smart action to turn the light off at night that would be excellent.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince the upgrade to GB, I get a lot of notifications, some I can't tell why. One that I know of, when the phone reached full charge, I get the notification, sometimes 2 or 3 times. How to turn these off, was not happening in FROYO.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUpgraded three family DX's this weekend to the RAZR MAXX's and so far pretty pleased. My wife's phone has an interesting "feature?" which I haven't been able to figure how to turn off. When she has an unread email (either GMAIL or or local internet provider mail) periodicaly when the screen is locked and off the screen will turn on for a second and then turn off like a reminder notification. Obviously a battery killer. I've looked through all the reminder features including the add-on we use "Light Flow Lite" which we use for missed calls and cannot find where to turn this off.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn DROID 2 I can't seem to figure out how to set a different notification sound for each email account (corporate sync, comcast, etc.). Is it possible to do this without installing a 3rd party app? I swear I had this setup before on the DROID 2 (had to do a factory reset to try to resolve an issue), but can't figure it out. My friend has the same issue on the DROID 3 and can't figure it out. I also already know that Gmail can set up different ones if you filter through that, but that's not what I want.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently I've been unable to access emails on my D2G. I receive a notification tone and light but when I go to email it tells me it can't establish a connection. I check the account and my password which should show as ******* now shows as ****************************. Who or what is adding the extra digits to my password. It's a yahoo/sbcglobal account. I've been having similar problems with corporate account at the office.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis botched release of ice cream has taken a lot of time. Support personnel don't know the product. I've been disconnected twice from Motorola personnel. That's an old trick - hang up on the customer in mid-sentence - pretend it's a phone problem - don't call back.
I've figured out most of the goop. The last problem I have is that I do get the green notification light for text messages but it's gone for e-mails. Does anyone know how to get the light back?
Motorola, you did a poor job with this release. Support personnel don't know the product and you are way understaffed to handle all the calls.
I have a new RAZR M and the notification light doesn't seem to work. It doesn't light when new email is received or when I plug it in to charge.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI get no led notification, screen off or of course screen on. Occasionally the led will flash a single time when the phone goes into sleep mode but no more after that. Not for email, text message, nothing. Tried a reset and no led even before re-installing 3rd party apps. None of the led apps worked either.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince I did the current update I'm no longer getting my Yahoo (which is my primary account) email notifications (I was before the update). If I go in to check email I have messages. My Comcast accounts works fine. Background data is enabled.
Under "email settings" I have "Data Push" selected ( I even tried it with it unselected). I have fetch schedule "every 15 minutes" checked. I did notice that when I go into "Folder Sync" All the folders say "manual". I've also tried several battery pulls. If I go and open the email apps it does download the emails.
This was possible in Blackberry and I miss it in Droid 4. ... WITHOUT some app... 1. Creating distinct phone RINGTONE for contact GROUP2. Create distinact NOTIFICATION alert sound for receipt of SMS TEXT from contact/group.3. Create distinct EMAIL alert for receipts of any asynchronous MESSAGE (TEXT or EMAIL) from cotact or group
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe changes made to the email account mechanism is causing me grief. Who thought it would be a good idea to remove the functionality to assign each email account their own notification ringtone? I use this as a tool to know when an email is from my personal account or from my work account. Now I have to pick the phone every time to find out which it was. That was dumb of Motorola. It need to be returned to it's previous level of functionality. I speaking of the corporate email accounts specifically.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have recently downloaded the new Yahoo mail app and after doing so I no longer receive a notification that I have received an email. I use light flow and it is set up properly for all other notifications.
View 1 Replies View Relatedhow to stop the gmail app from playing a sound every time an email received?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got an LG G3, and I have a Yahoo email account set up on it. I need it to display the number of unread emails on the icon (I think the little circled number is called a badge?), but do NOT want my phone making a notification sound every time an email comes in. This is really annoying in the middle of the night, especially when it's from spam emails.
When I go into the email app, and choose <menu> --> Settings --> <email account name> --> Notifications --> Notification Sound, a list of folders at /storage/emulated/0 appears instead of a list of tone sounds and a None option. I don't know what to do at this point to disable the notification sound.
