Xperia X10 :: Can't Switch On It Anymore

I dropped my phone at work today and now when I try to switch it on it won't go any further than the Sony Ericsson logo on the welcome screen, after that point it just freezes, and if I leave it on that screen the battery eventually dies. It's been dropped several times before but after every time it still worked perfectly - I've not had any problems with it until now. I can still charge it and connect it to the computer but without being able to select the USB connect I obviously can't open the PC companion.Basically what I'm asking is - is there any way for this to be fixed? Or will I have to replace it?

After upgrade to 2.1 the power button doesn't switch off my screen anymore. It did in earlier version.

i try to download app's from android market nothing happens, all that happens when i touch install is the message "starting download", which stays there indefinitley, has anyone else had this problem & can someone solve it..

Just bought a Z5, was so happy with my Z2, but......big big desilusion. it looks like USB DAC are not supported anymore..
I went to usb menu, and the dac is detected, but can't have the sound go through it...

I've googled this problem and everyone seems to have it. The X10 does not charge the phone anymore. We think its a USB connection in the phone thats causing the problem. Soetimeswhen i move the cable (Where it connects to the phone) around abit I can get a charge but lately nothing at all. Tried other usb cords and battery's and still nothing. It just happened out of the blue.

i have xperia play factory unlocked R800i .i update my phone via wifi and my phone has bricked and i have fixed but the phone has become locked phone and the phone can't read any sim card and if i insert any sim card the phone said there is not sim card in the phone

I have the xperia x10 mini and it is not charging properly anymore. This is my THIRD phone because the others had the same problem! Iv had new chargers and kept my phone off to charge it and it still will not work properly. The battery is built inside the phone so I cannot remove it at all. why my phone wonnt charge?

I tried to close some applications on my phone to improve battery and as a result i have accidentially done something to the phone which has stopped the 'add' button on the menu key has stopped working and is no longer highlighted. I cant work out how to get it to turn back on.

The (default) camera app used to work fine. But suddenly it would not anymore:
1. When I press the button to activate the camera, it will not start the camera app anymore.
2. When I start the (default) camera app manually, it will start, leave the content of the viewfinder black and freeze: I need to reboot the phone because none of the buttons (back, menu, home) will react.
3. Alternatively, after about 2 minutes the frozen application will kill itself (I have no autokiller installed!)
Would uninstalling and re-installing the (default) camera app If yes, how would I get it uninstalled and where would I get the camera.apk to download from to re-install it?

we have 3 mini pros, mine, wife and workmate.we are all having the same issue which is our phone will no longer connect to wifi we have tried the following-
-updated firmware 2.1
-made sure signal strength is excellant
-reset settings
-reset modem and made sure password and security details are correct
-used different modems and wifis to test the phone
-downloaded and used wifi apps ie wifi fixer etc
- read the hundreds of suggestions in different forums regarding this issue with this phone... noone has had any real success. maybe one or two people like i said, we have 3 of these phones with 3 different wifi modems. and have tried connecting to other wifi... it just refuses to connect its a shame becuase i can speak for the others in saying , if i knew the wifi didnt work on this phone we would never of bought it.

For 2 days I am not able to download anything from Android Market. Did any of you have this problem? Internet connection is OK. I was able to download from the Market, but suddenly I can't do it anymore. I think this is an OS problem. I read about in on Android site forum.

What is going on with this fingerprint scanner? It worked well for the first few months. Now It:
1) automatically buzzes and attempts a scan 5x in a row when I press the unlock button then locks the phone and requires pin.
2) does not even show the fingerprint scanner in the diagnostic menu
3) does not allow me to even register new fingerprints - I open the fingerprint software to scan new fingerprints and it closes.
I've attached an image.
This has to be a software glitch. I've already resetted my phone and same thing.

I tried with both the standard email (error message could not download attachment) app and Nine (progress bar stops) it's not working anymore. I have deleted and re-installed Nine, deleted the email account and added it again, changed the email download size to all, countless restarts, unmount / mount SD card - nothing worked so far.

3gs does not respond to on-off switch, ring/silent switch or volume buttons. It will not turn off.
I let the phone deplete its battery which didn't take very long but the problem persists.

I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

So of course there's switch mode from work and "play". I have this issue where when I switch from one the theme changes and if I switch back the theme doesn't change. I thought this would be fix, but I guess I was the only one with this issue. Just updated to .54. I'm of course not going to do anything about it I'll just work with it. Seeing that nothing else is wrong with my phone but that. Which is GOOD. Anyway wanted to see if and one else has this issue. With 5.1.1 any app that used setRingerMode(silent) no longer works. So putting the phone in silent mode is now broken for lots of the 3rd party apps.The D5803, D6653, D6503 go into vibrate mode, but not into silence mode.

I set up sync when first installing the PC companion, and everything has worked great until a few days ago. Now it won't sync and I keep getting random alerts day and night. I've checked the settings and I have a random looking username which I can't change as it's greyed and not selectable. Password is hidden but only shows 8 chars and not 10 as it should be. The only way to stop the annoying alerts is switch background data traffic off, but then my apps like sat nav need it!

My experia X8 won't charge (USB or the same cord on the mains charger adapter) or from a car charger unless I switch it off and then plug in the charging lead with the phone still off. Once I've done that the red/green indicators come up ok.I can then switch it on and it continues to charge. New Mini Pro won't even switch on!
Took out of Christmas wrapped box, folllowed instructions to plug in and charge. When I try to switch phone on I get a display icon of a phone, and behind it, a large triangle containing exclamation mark!
I read this might mean it's software was unsuccessfully updated?
I downloaded Sony Ericsson PC Companion. This eventually recognized that my phone was actually connected to my pc by USB, but then simply recommended I try re-inserting the battery.

Many peoples phones wont switch on. My x10 mini pro refuses to shut down!!
I power down and the phone switches off, but then switches itself back ON after a few seconds. The only way to fix this is by taking the battery out for a second and then re-inserting it. Once Ive done this, it will not switch on until I press the power button!

why my phones slide unlock thing aint there anymore.when i have my phone in my pocket its not locked and i end up doing things without realising it.usually you push the button then slide the bar across to unlock it. im confused. also this phone is trippy as **** ie: restarting on its own,freezing and crashing etc.

I have just done a software repair from PC Helper to enable me to be able to access the Android Marketplace. (something I've not been able to do since the day I got the phone, over a year ago).However, this has done a factory reset & I am now no longer able to access Facebook, which has been no problem since I got the phone.I'm getting a message which says 'an error had occurred during the sign in. try again later'?
