May 14, 2012I have an iPhone 4s and I use it occasionally with an ihome. Now, when I try to play music out of the regular speakers, no sound comes out and it says that I have 2 options: iPhone, or iPhone speaker. I then tried both settings, none of which that worked. I tried it again on my ihome, with both settings and it still didn't work. I unplugged it and tried it again, and 1 second of my song played and then stopped.

Oct 22, 2012My phone for reasons best known to itself infrequently if not rarely reboots and then plays a loud piece of music (not one I have downloaded!) and I cannot seem to mute it or turn it off until its run it's 30 second course. This may not sound a long time but it is when you are in a meeting of quiet place and other than removing the battery, which would defeat the whole point I cannot find out how to a) silence it, b) turn it off for future reboots or c) why my phone feels the need to restart on a regular basis.

Mar 12, 2010so i've been reading the forums and googling and whatnot, and i found out that my blackberry should support: .avi, .mp4, .mov, and .3gp video files. video files are currently .m4v because of itunes, but i renamed a test video to the 4 above (unless i'm supposed to fully convert them?!), and none of the videos worked. i've tried uploading with media manager, as well as simply dragging and dropping onto my memory card. before, i was able to drag and drop my files onto the memory card, and the videos would play perfectly (i never even had to change the extension!)(also related: i've never been able to play Internet videos!) note: i uploaded a video i took from my point-and-shoot camera (.avi), and there was only sound!

Jun 16, 2012My bold 9900 doesnt play music through the headphones anymore, it just blasts it out. i have tried rebooting it and tried several pairs of headphones. when i plug them in, the icon flashes between the headset icon and the normal icon. i have also tried putting them in slowly and holding them in, but none of these work. I have only recently bought it and it has never been dropped or damaged.

Apr 6, 2015Basically my phone was fine when I got it a week and a half ago and then it started, when I touch the keys at the bottom or type the vibration is on low but there's a loud buzz when I touch the keys. I've tried turning the vibration intensity up and down and the buzz is still there. I've seen other posts on google about this but nothing to say what happened after they complained. My partner has the same phone and his only makes the buzz sound every two or three types. When the phone rings it's the same. I tested it against a note 3 and there was no noise when the keys were pressed with the vibration on.

This didn't happen before. This isn't a major problem but now I have to switch to the ear speaker during every phone call. (By the way, the loudspeaker volume is superb!)Is there a way to set the ear speaker to default for phone calls?

Jan 25, 2012I phone recently developed a problem with touch screen becomming completely unresponsive. I googled and found its a common fault with Sony Handsets. Now let me explain the list of tasks i did in order to get it back to work but invane 1- Tested a new touchpad 2- Software update 3- Software downgrade 4- Deassembling and reassembling
i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.

Xperia PLAY :: Supported External Speaker For Play?
May 27, 2011I am looking to buy an external speaker to connect to my xperia play, preferably a sony branded one, but definately one that is portable enough to fit in my pocket.I thought I had found the one that fit the bill perfectly when I checked the sony site and found the MS 430 which is supposed to be fully compatible with the Xperia Play (it even doubles up as a phone stand, which is pretty neat).Now the problem is my jack is on the horizontal side of my phone (opposite side to the left flipper) and not on the top end as shown in the picture to connect a phone to this speaker.So therefore the speaker is not compatible with this phone, unless of course I have a unique phone with the jack in the wrong place or the phone is connected in the upright position, which wouldnt be very good when watching video playback.
