Just bought a Z5, was so happy with my Z2, but......big big desilusion. it looks like USB DAC are not supported anymore..
I went to usb menu, and the dac is detected, but can't have the sound go through it...
I'm still using 4.0.A.2.368 for that problem.

I checked my power information and I saw the google play services was consuming more power (45%) than my screen 19% that was an overnight situation. I tried uninstalling the updates, didn't work. so i've been reading the forums and googling and whatnot, and i found out that my blackberry should support: .avi, .mp4, .mov, and .3gp video files. video files are currently .m4v because of itunes, but i renamed a test video to the 4 above (unless i'm supposed to fully convert them?!), and none of the videos worked. i've tried uploading with media manager, as well as simply dragging and dropping onto my memory card. before, i was able to drag and drop my files onto the memory card, and the videos would play perfectly (i never even had to change the extension!)(also related: i've never been able to play Internet videos!) note: i uploaded a video i took from my point-and-shoot camera (.avi), and there was only sound!

I have only recently bought it and it has never been dropped or damaged.

Now let me explain the list of tasks i did in order to get it back to work but invane 1- Tested a new touchpad 2- Software update 3- Software downgrade 4- Deassembling and reassembling
i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.

I am looking to buy an external speaker to connect to my xperia play, preferably a sony branded one, but definately one that is portable enough to fit in my pocket.I thought I had found the one that fit the bill perfectly when I checked the sony site and found the MS 430 which is supposed to be fully compatible with the Xperia Play (it even doubles up as a phone stand, which is pretty neat).Now the problem is my jack is on the horizontal side of my phone (opposite side to the left flipper) and not on the top end as shown in the picture to connect a phone to this speaker.So therefore the speaker is not compatible with this phone, unless of course I have a unique phone with the jack in the wrong place or the phone is connected in the upright position, which wouldnt be very good when watching video playback.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone at work today and now when I try to switch it on it won't go any further than the Sony Ericsson logo on the welcome screen, after that point it just freezes, and if I leave it on that screen the battery eventually dies. It's been dropped several times before but after every time it still worked perfectly - I've not had any problems with it until now. I can still charge it and connect it to the computer but without being able to select the USB connect I obviously can't open the PC companion.Basically what I'm asking is - is there any way for this to be fixed? Or will I have to replace it?

Soetimeswhen i move the cable (Where it connects to the phone) around abit I can get a charge but lately nothing at all. Tried other usb cords and battery's and still nothing. It just happened out of the blue.
