I paired my Xperia Play R800a with my laptop (HP DV7 series running W7HP 64 bits) but it does not connect at all. When I try, I keep getting this message: Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver not found. It can't be found through Windows Update and I can't find it anywhere on the web to download.

So I connect to a bluetooth device for my car to play music and provide directions. Driving mode somehow got turned on and is annoying as all heck. So basically I want it gone. It doesnt do anything for me, it just randomly resends a notification and interrupts my music and I have had it. How do I disable this terrible feature?

However, when i play Battlefield two and attempt to use both touch pads to move about, the game freezes and locks up until i cease touching the two game pads. FYI, im using the stock launcher and i recently reboot the phone so the stock games were deleted. its a canadian phone on the Rogers network. Should i just bring the phone in?

Now let me explain the list of tasks i did in order to get it back to work but invane 1- Tested a new touchpad 2- Software update 3- Software downgrade 4- Deassembling and reassembling
i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.

I am looking to buy an external speaker to connect to my xperia play, preferably a sony branded one, but definately one that is portable enough to fit in my pocket.I thought I had found the one that fit the bill perfectly when I checked the sony site and found the MS 430 which is supposed to be fully compatible with the Xperia Play (it even doubles up as a phone stand, which is pretty neat).Now the problem is my jack is on the horizontal side of my phone (opposite side to the left flipper) and not on the top end as shown in the picture to connect a phone to this speaker.So therefore the speaker is not compatible with this phone, unless of course I have a unique phone with the jack in the wrong place or the phone is connected in the upright position, which wouldnt be very good when watching video playback.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a developer redesigning my 2d games to be 3d games and I am going have them be specifically for ps certified devices. I am using my new paid copy of ps mobile suite and they play(do far) pretty good on the vita( still a few bugs to work out) but on my xperia play when I try to play them for some reason my xperia keeps trying to access the ps storeWhich isn't a problem . The problem is that I bought the xperia play remanufactured as a test device only but then decided to activate it anyway. So my problem is that when I try to access the ps store I get a 8008104D error. Now I know that this error is because my xperia isn't telling the network that it's an xperia, but it obviously is. So would this be something missing from the framework res.apk or could it be something else? I have Redlands the phone using the update tool, rooted it, all ps certified and xperia certified .jar and all .xml files are in their proper folders as far as I can tell. Why would my expedia be telling the ps store that it isn't an xperia?

This also prevents me from doing anything on it at all while it is connected due to rapid switches i phone mode (Media Transfer / normal)

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia PLAY R800at with 2.3.3. Whenever I'm using my bluetooth device and reconnect to my wifi network, I lose bluetooth packets for 5-6 seconds. This does not happen when I compare against the Nexus S sitting right next to the Xperia PLAY.
This is a really bad problem, and is probably going to result in me not using my PLAY at all.
I'm using Xperia Play & having disconnection problems with BOTH Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 & MW600. Initially I thought it was HBH-DS220 not playing nice with Android, so I bought MW600 Last Saturday, but sadly Problem persists.Problem Description: Simply put, I'd be lucky to finish a phone call over the bluetooth headset without it dropping connection. The MW600 would still display the telephone number, while in fact no sound is coming or going through, and then it takes a few seconds for the "Bluetooth" toggle button on the phone call UI to disappear. Whenever that happens, I'll have to frantically yank off the earbud, take out the phone, and start appologising to the other person for missing the last few seconds of conversation.It would also sometimes lose connection when I'm playing games, the sound would stop coming in from the game, then the game will freeze for a second or two, and suddenly the sound would start coming out from the the built in loud speakers and give everyboy else a heart attack.i'm using stock firmware, never rooted/unlocked:

EDIT: On another note, after posting this, I found I have put my email as the displayed username... (I already have an account over at blog.sonymobile, and over there, username means email address. So I put my email address when I log on here, the button says something like "create account"... yes, its a bit weird, yet plausible since I was thinking you're confirming my email before proceeding onto anothe create account screen. There was no warning THAT username is the one going to be displayed.)
Upon activating the WiFi hotspot on my xperia play stock .42My pc don't have an internet connection with both vista 32bit and windows7 64bit. I don't have any issue using the hotspot on my xperia mini.

However when I got it back it will not connect to my network which is Vodafone Ireland. When I try to connect it says "Your SIM Card does not allow a connection to this network". I have changed the mode from WCDMA and GSM and vice versa but still it won't connect. I even got a new sim card to try that. It will work with any of my older phones but not this one. The phone works perfectly at everthing else including internet by Wi-Fi but not as a phone.

I change my phone to 'mediaoverdracht modus' ( it's in dutch, i don't know the english word ). It's the modus that is required for updating your phone, and it's step 3. But it fails every single time. PC Companion keeps saying it is unable to connect to my PLAY. No errorcode or nothing, it just gives the advice to reconnect my phone to the PC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHere are options that I have tried:- Ensuring Back cover is on completely- Purchased new Micro SDHC card- Updated Xperia Play to latest software using PC Companion- Removing and re-inserting card whilst on, and whilst off.- Searching for related issues (None found, except back cover issues).
When the phone discovers the card, after attempting a mount it tells me "Blank or unnsupported card".Being un-able to connect my SDHC card prevents me from playing any games installed on the device, using the camera/video, and installing new programs or games.
My phone recieved notification of a new software update yesterday, it also said i could update it over the air, then contradictid itself by saying i had to use the PC Companion software. Which i did use, i connected my phone, tried to update the software, but when i get to the change from MSC to MTP part, it trys to connect to my phone then says it cannot connect... ?I tried the Wi-Fi updated through the PC companion and the USB updater & they were both saying the same things...It just won't let me update and its really frustrating seeing as im following the instructions given to me...
