View 4 RepliesI have an iPhone 4s and I use it occasionally with an ihome. Now, when I try to play music out of the regular speakers, no sound comes out and it says that I have 2 options: iPhone, or iPhone speaker. I then tried both settings, none of which that worked. I tried it again on my ihome, with both settings and it still didn't work. I unplugged it and tried it again, and 1 second of my song played and then stopped.

View 9 Replies View RelatedHiI have had complaints from people I am speaking to of loud static/banging noises. These noises happen intemitantly with no real pattern, virtually everytime I make a phone call. I cannot hear them on my end though! I have been told that this is extremely annoying, almost painfull, and people no longer want to talk to me!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI only noticed this issue when sending a video to a friend last week. I thought it was just an error with that specific recording but I just recorded another one and there is no sound whatsoever. Instead it's all just very loud static noise. I've only had this phone since around early December.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC One M7 on AT&T. It's rooted running Android 4.3.
Just this past week, I have started having an issue with the volume of the built in speakers. I first noticed it on speakerphone. When Speakerphone is first activated and turned all the way, it is loud (as loud as it has always been since new) but then within about 1-2 seconds, it gets quite a bit softer. If I am in a very quiet location, it is loud enough to use, if the location has any noise above dead quiet, the speakerphone is too soft to use.
I can repeat this over and over again, turn off speakerphone, and turn on again and the same thing happens first loud then much softer in 1 to 2 seconds. Moving the volume slider using the side rocker does not make the sound any louder either. When it is on speakerphone and I move it down from 100% volume to 0% volume, it does not start to get softer until I get down to about 25%. When I move it from 0% up to 100%, it seems to stop getting louder at about 25%, almost like there is a volume limiter on it preventing it from getting too loud.
I though about a factory reset but I hate to have to go through the hassle of re-installing everything if this might be a hardware issue.
I also see a similar behavior in Sirius XM Radio where it is loud at first (when started with 100% volume) then it makes it much quieter
Strangeness.I have great sound from iTunes, but no sound from any other app, and no ringer from my phone. I have tried drying out the earphone socket with a hairdryer, and plugging/unplugging while listening to an iTunes song - all to no avail. I have checked al my settings, and all I can find are set to make sounds heard. Now I am flummoxed.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 9900 running the latest software 7.1.0 bundle 1310. I set up the auto on at 6am and off at 1am which is later than I go to sleep and earlier than I awake, just in case I have any emergency calls, but without using up my battery. However, the sound that comes on when this function is happening is so loud that it wakes me up in the next room. Is there any way to turn off the notifier sound that plays when the phone is turning on and off? I have tried to change the phone profile but it doesn't affect this.If there is no way to turn off the sounds for this function, I don't understand how it is useful. You may as well just plug in the phone and put the profile on "phone only" every night.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a T-Mobile S6 Edge, when I play any media with sound and the phone does ANYTHING else while sound is being played I get a loud distorted interference type sound. I can be playing music through an app, or local file, or watching a video with sound. Even if it's me locking the screen or rotating the screen it happens, also it doesn't matter if it's headphones, the phone's physical speaker, or a Bluetooth speaker it always happens.

They said if they were to send the phone back to Apple, I would probably get back my same old buzzing phone because it wasn't hardware error. Is there any other possible way to exchange??

I don't know what happened but suddenly my sound stopped working, the Alarms still work and so does the Ringer, but everything else stopped. If I plug in a headset it works, but while cooking in my kitchen at wired headset can lead to drops and damage. This issue only started a few days ago.

I found out that when I played songs in the video, there is no sound either. However, I could hear the songs and calling, sms tones ringing when I plugged in my headphone. If that happens after the message is read and I return to the music the phone starts to play thru the speakers and the headphones.at the same time. There is a significant reduction in the volume thru the headphones but it still plays. I have tried different headphones and the problem persist over the podcast app as well.
