I had my iphone plugged into some speakers and listening to Pandora. Suddenly music quit and now I can't get my speakers to play music (music/apps/radio). However, they will work when I have speaker phone on.

My speakers aren't playing any music, when I am in a call the other person can hear me but I can't hear them, so I know my microphone is working. Also my alarm, when I set it only vibrates. No sound is coming out of my iphone! It is not on silent, or in silent mode, I have double checked.

Strangeness.I have great sound from iTunes, but no sound from any other app, and no ringer from my phone. I have tried drying out the earphone socket with a hairdryer, and plugging/unplugging while listening to an iTunes song - all to no avail. I have checked al my settings, and all I can find are set to make sounds heard. Now I am flummoxed.

If I plug in a headset it works, but while cooking in my kitchen at wired headset can lead to drops and damage. This issue only started a few days ago.

It thinks it is still connected to my iHome, so it trys to play anything through the charge port which of course no sound comes out. Can anyone help me with this issue? I can still play through my headphones and it will play through my Apple TV if I tell it to, but I just can't get any sound to come through the speakers.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 4s has all of a sudden stopped playing sound. I have a ringtone but no sound for music/movies etc. Tried turning on and of and letting bat go flat then recharging. Sound came back for a while then went again. I noticed this started soon after I upgraded to 5.1.1 . Ive also looked at the error reports the phone generates for apple and there are a few memory low notes.

I got an iPhone, when playing the games it got no sound. BUT, when playing music it got sound.
I press on the + - button in left navigation, it got no respond. If I play the game and I plug in the headset, I can heard the sound of the game.Â
I have try to reboot, and also trying to press the home and start button together until it reboot.
When I'm playing music and stand up, I can hear a faint vibrating sound in my right ear bud... I've tried them with my nexus 7 and they didn't make they sound, but they do with my HTC one.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had this phone for about a week now and just noticed that the sound gets distorted when playing music every now and then.
I listen to music on the way to work but after work when I try it, it's cracking/stuttering/skipping, basically unlistenable.
At first I thought it was black player but then the same thing happened on the music app. Different headphones didn't work, it's even happening on the speakers with headphones unplugged. But I've found it is only happening on music as I played a movie at the same time ; the music was shtting itself but the movie audio was fine.
The only sure fix is to restart the phone. Even then, after once I do something else and come back to music, it's all distorted again. Music is on internal storage. Don't have an sd yet...
When I download game's for nokia x3 from ovi store or from any other site. I am not able to get sound and music while I'm playing. Its very irritating to play a game without sound.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I play music through my phone, with or without headphones, there is a sporadic noise that sounds similar to a record skipping, but more distorted. It is not the two tone beep others have posted about, nor is it the usual problem with headphones. The sound occurs in multiple audio apps. The default music player worked fine up until about a week ago (maybe two?), then the noise started. At first, a secondary app worked fine, but today that started making the noise as well. Force quitting the default app worked for a while, stopping the noise when I started the app back up, but now it goes back to the noise almost immediately. What this noise is or how to stop it permanently?

Have had my HTC One since last September. Never had any issues until today. No matter what music app I'm using, even Google play, the music will stop playing. It happens on different songs and with different headphones. The headphones icon still shows stays up. So the plug is good. But I have to keep unlocking my phone and restart the app. It's like every app closes. I'm running all stock. Never rooted. I restarted my phone. It worked for a few minutes but started up again.
Also noticed when you lose Internet connection a phrase down on the bottom of the screen pops up that says "yikes you lost Internet connection" I've never seen this before. Especially using the word "yikes" seems odd to me. I'm was on my home screen when it happened.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the latest Apple IOS installed. 7.1.1. I have one music album on my Iphone 5S. Now before I ever put music on any of my Iphones I have owned I never ever had this problem. But for some reason the Music App that apple gives us always overrides any other App I have bought that generates sounds or music or well anything that deals strictly with making sounds in general.Â
I have an App installed that I use to fall asleep to at night, it plays a bunch of different ocean wave sounds for a period of time that I set anywhere from 15 minutes to 4 hours. I dock my phone at night on my clock which is an Ihome clock. Now it doesn't seem to matter if I dock my phone or not it happens even when it's undocked so the Clock is NOT the issue.Â
Here's what happens. Step 1 I close all the apps running on my phone, yep I double tap the home button and swipe UP each and everyone one till they are gone. Step 2 I turn on my sleeping sounds app. Step 3 I hit play. Step 4 I hit the flat botton on top of the phone to turn off the screen, while the sleep sounds are going. The sleep sounds continue to play after this happens.Â
Now here' the kicker, before putting the music on my phone those sounds would keep on playing till the apps time ran out, I usually set it for 2 hours. Yah it takes me a while to fall asleep some nights and others not as long. After I put a music album that was purchased from Itunes on my phone, well about 2 minutes after I turn off the screen the Sleep sounds stop and all goes silent, then 30 seconds later that music album starts playing. I try pausing and closing, I've tried just pausing the music where it's at and hitting play on the sleep app again, I've messed with the Do Not Disturb settings and I still can NOT get the MUSIC to stop overriding my sleep app. Â
I mean I want my sleep APP at night not the MUSIC. Where are the Music controls to tell it to NOT override other apps that play sounds?Â
