I was eating dinner tonight and I dropped my iPhone in Alfredo sauce. Everything works except my speakers are muffled and the sound is reduced. What's my next step? I tried cleaning it out with a toothbrush.

The other day I was listening to a partically downloaded podcast (poor service) on my 4S when suddenly the sound stopped (external speakers). I assumed it had come to the end of what had downloaded so far but now any music and podcasts I listen to are muffled (like they have too much bass) and they stop and start when I use the external speakers. The sound quality before was so good! Playback is fine when I use the headphone jack. I installed all updates and restored the phone, but to no avail.

I've made and received several calls with my new iPhone 4 since getting it yesterday morning, however I was using my headset. Now, just this evening I got two calls when I didn't have my headset on and both times I had bad sound quality from the phone itself. It was muffled, almost like a thin sheet was over the speaker and vibrating against it. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I currently purchased an Iphone 6 and the only problem that I'm currently having is that after being on the phone for a while the person can no longer hear me or I sound muffle to them. I can hear them perfectly fine without a problem.

Strangeness.I have great sound from iTunes, but no sound from any other app, and no ringer from my phone. I have tried drying out the earphone socket with a hairdryer, and plugging/unplugging while listening to an iTunes song - all to no avail. I have checked al my settings, and all I can find are set to make sounds heard. Now I am flummoxed.

It doesn't seem to be a problem calling voicemail, I can hear the machine just fine, but on all voice calls, I sound very muffled, and have a hard time hearing the other person. I tried holding the phone in every conceivable way which made little difference. This is especially bad when my wife and I call each other. I went to the Verizon store (not where I bought it), and they denied there was any problem and sent me away. I am running Android Jellybean (4.1.1). On my old Sprint phone, this was never an issue, but background noise was horrible. With the RAZR M, there is no background noise, but no clarity either.

My iPhone 4 has not been able to play music or video through my speakers. It thinks it is still connected to my iHome, so it trys to play anything through the charge port which of course no sound comes out. Can anyone help me with this issue? I can still play through my headphones and it will play through my Apple TV if I tell it to, but I just can't get any sound to come through the speakers.

the speaker works as long as it isn't turned up to the highest option, then it becomes crackly. The microphone works, but you have to talk softly or be far away for the sound to be unmuffled. Headphones work perfectly. I know Apple doesn't cover water damage, so what can I do to save my phone?
