I've made and received several calls with my new iPhone 4 since getting it yesterday morning, however I was using my headset. Now, just this evening I got two calls when I didn't have my headset on and both times I had bad sound quality from the phone itself. It was muffled, almost like a thin sheet was over the speaker and vibrating against it. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
The past week I have noticed all my phone calls have been muffled coming out of the earpiece speaker. If I turn on speaker phone then I can hear the conversation normally thus eliminating any volume or software issues.
the speaker works as long as it isn't turned up to the highest option, then it becomes crackly. The microphone works, but you have to talk softly or be far away for the sound to be unmuffled. Headphones work perfectly. I know Apple doesn't cover water damage, so what can I do to save my phone?
I was eating dinner tonight and I dropped my iPhone in Alfredo sauce. Everything works except my speakers are muffled and the sound is reduced. What's my next step? I tried cleaning it out with a toothbrush.
I currently purchased an Iphone 6 and the only problem that I'm currently having is that after being on the phone for a while the person can no longer hear me or I sound muffle¬ to them. I can hear them perfectly fine without a problem.
My wife and I bought a pair of RAZR M phones three days ago, and right from the beginning, soung quality was pretty poor. It doesn't seem to be a problem calling voicemail, I can hear the machine just fine, but on all voice calls, I sound very muffled, and have a hard time hearing the other person. I tried holding the phone in every conceivable way which made little difference. This is especially bad when my wife and I call each other. I went to the Verizon store (not where I bought it), and they denied there was any problem and sent me away. I am running Android Jellybean (4.1.1). On my old Sprint phone, this was never an issue, but background noise was horrible. With the RAZR M, there is no background noise, but no clarity either.
The sound on my phone wont work. My music wont play, you cant hear the keyboard noise or the lock noise, and when someone calls i cant hear what they are saying unless I put them on speaker or put headphones in. When the headphones are plugged into my phone, the sound works fine! i would like to know why the speakers ownt work anymore
When I make calls and recieve calls, no sound comes from the earpiece at the top, the volume level is maxed out and nothing. Then when I go and press the speaker it works. The phone is only 1 week old... the only thing installed is battery doctor
i've been using my iphone 4s for 3 months now and i don't have any problem in these 3 months. now the headset speaker is very low, whenever i spoke to somebody i turned on the loudspeaker, sound is there but it's too low, this happens after upgrading to a new software IOS 5.1.!
I recently downloaded the update for the new software and all was well then suddenly my speaker phone stopped working. As well as my speaker phone the audio output of the speaker itself does not put out any noise. I checked the silent mode switch on the side of the phone as well as the sound settings and all looks as it did when things were working.
I have an iPhone 5 16gb with iOS 8.1.1 that I used last night with my LuguLake Portable Bluetooth Speaker to listen to music. I've used this particular bluetooth speaker for about 3 months.¬
I turned the bluetooth speaker off, like I always do, but the sound did not return to my phone. It has not made any sound since last night before I used it with the speaker.¬
I tried restarting the phone twice, using it with the bluetooth speaker again (works fine), tried it with headphones (works fine), but otherwise it acts like the mute switch is on - and its not. I've even tried restoring the phone and it didn't make any noise, so I restored my backup, still no noise... What do I do?!!!!!¬
I have an otterbox case on my phone and do not recall dropping it recently. I never use the headphone port so it's not dirty but I cleaned it with a q-tip just for good measure. I don't know what else to try.¬
It seems like the phone won't disconnect from the bluetooth speaker even with bluetooth off.¬
What should I do when my speaker (iphone 4s) emits no sound? When I play a song, the volume changer (+ & -) is not below. And when I click the + & - volume (on the left side of the phone), there is nothing happening.
My iphone will not play a ringtone or text tone when I get an incoming call/text. My ringer IS on, I can hear sound just fine when I go through and click the preview of whatever ringtone is selected, however won't play. Have tried multiple ringtones and even tried to power off/on my phone.
Iphone 4 sound issue. On my iphone, after the upgrade to 5.1.1, the sound will only work through the phone speaker when it is ringing. All application sounds and notification sounds will not work through the iphone speaker. When a speaker or headphone is plugged in, all of the sounds will work.
My speaker is no longer working on my IPhone 4s; I can't listen to music, hear the phone ring or listen to Siri. I can hear everything just fine with earbuds or when it is connected to a docking station. I reset all content & settings, powered down several times, tried plugging & unplugging earbuds, as well as cleaning out the earbud connection with compressed air.
i have an issue with my IPhone 4 as i'm able to play sound when i'm selecting my choice of ringtone but when i try to select my choice my other tone selection it play no sound at all. BUT not from the headphone¬ next is Youtube app no sound being played thru the speaker BUT using headphone there is.¬
Is there a way to make my phone's speakers enable when using the Mophie? Just to explain, the Mophie is a batter pack case, that has an apple plug on the bottom. It works great and all, but my phone speaker's go off. Similar to using a docking clock/radio and the speaker will go through that device. The Mophie doesn't have its own speakers though, so I can't use the speakers as I use it.
My Iphone's speaker doesn't work, it means that there is no ringtone when someone call me, and there is no sound when I play the music. I turn off the mute botton, so there should be sound. How to deal with this?
