i've been using my iphone 4s for 3 months now and i don't have any problem in these 3 months. now the headset speaker is very low, whenever i spoke to somebody i turned on the loudspeaker, sound is there but it's too low, this happens after upgrading to a new software IOS 5.1.!
When I have my headphones plugged in, the music plays both in them and still comes out from the phone. This also happens with conversations... When my headphones are plugged in, the sound from the other person speaking comes out loudly from the phone, so everyone can hear it! This does not happen when the headphones are not connected. Then the sound just comes from the phone, and conversations are more quiet.  I have tried different headsets, earplugs and speakers, the problem is the same with all of them. I have tried looking at the settings, both on my phone and other applications. I have also googled it, and I have tried to restart my phone.  And I have checked if they really are inserted correctly. What I can do? I just want to hear my music in piece and keep my conversations for myself.  I also checked this link: [URL] .... but it did not solve my problem ...
The sound on my phone wont work. My music wont play, you cant hear the keyboard noise or the lock noise, and when someone calls i cant hear what they are saying unless I put them on speaker or put headphones in. When the headphones are plugged into my phone, the sound works fine! i would like to know why the speakers ownt work anymore
I was able to update my 16GB 3GS to iOS4 without a hitch, that is until I paired it up with my Contour Design SurfaceSound Compact Bluetooth handsfree car kit. Upon syncing the device would confirm pairing to the phone by announcing "handset connected". However, after updating to iOS4 the device would continually announce "handset connected" every minute or so (quite annoying). I've tried unpairing it to my iPhone and then repairing it but the problem continued.
However, I did find a workaround to this problem. I noticed that if I left my iPhone on the Bluetooth screen (within the Settings), the pairing takes place but it doesn't force my car kit from announcing "handset connected" every minute. Aside from not being able to switch to another screen or application, pressing the power button (turn off the display) will bring this "bug" back.
At least the iPod functions still work and I can take incoming phone calls...hopefully Apple fixes this annoyance soon.
I am using an iPhone 6 Plus (magnificent device) and a Sony MDR-10RBT headset (another killer). But when an incoming call comes, why does not the phone ring? i can hear only from the bluetooth headset speaker. When I was using this very headset with my earlier phone the iPhone 4S, I could hear the incoming call on both the phone ringer and the headset.
As of the 5th of May, the sound from the speaker and sound jack has had random crackles in any sound that is played, either from someone ringing me, an alarm or just from the music player
I have problems with speakers and headset. Even at highest level it's sometimes hard to hear. For example GPS indications in the car. But also with Headset, if people are talking nearby I can't even hear the music! Is there some kind of security switch?
I have currently installed GB (generic) on my X10 which is rooted and have xRecovery installed. Last weekend I installed the "Stutter Fix" and it solved a few problems I had and I love it! The problem now though is that when the phone rings or a notification comes (SMS, email etc), if I have the headset plugged in, no sound comes out of the phone's speaker. It only comes out of the headset and that wasnt the case before. When the headset is not pluged in the speaker works fine, so there is no harware issue or anything like that. I have the headset pluged in 90% of the time so I really need this feature. I looked at the settings and such but I didnt find anything that could change that and put it back as it was. I dont want to flash a new ROM again.
I know this may sound silly, but how do I turn on the screen when talking through the headset or using speakers. It's just the screen goes black after a few seconds after turning on the speakers or plugging in the headset, then I'd like to use the phone, but I just cannot turn it on. Only way it to use the power button, but that disconnects the call.
I have had my Storm 2 for 5 months and it has performed flawlessly. Yesterday I plugged in the earbuds that came with the device for the very first time. Immediately after removing them the device began switching between headset and speaker mode. If playing music, it switches to headset mode for just a second or two then back to speaker and the music is paused. It does exactly what happens when you actually plug the headset in and then remove it; the headset icon and volume meter appear for a moment along with the system beep, then it returns to speaker with the music paused. I have wiped the device, blown compressed air into the headphone jack, removed the headset while music was playing, and repeatedly plugged the headset jack in and out with no resolution. The Verizon Wireless Knowledge Base has no information on this problem.
When I make calls and recieve calls, no sound comes from the earpiece at the top, the volume level is maxed out and nothing. Then when I go and press the speaker it works. The phone is only 1 week old... the only thing installed is battery doctor
I have a 9700 Bold with ATT and the OS is v5.0.0.405. Alright so a couple of weeks ago my blackberry has started developing an annoying problem. When in a call, most of the time (not all) it starts switching between the headset icon and the normal speaker. When this happens, you can hear the phone switch between the two through the speaker, and it makes it so i cant hear anyone and they cant hear me. I'm out of my 30 day warranty from ATT but i think im still well within the RIM warranty. I have admittidly dropped it, but this still shouldnt be happening. Nothing like this has happened to any other phone I have owned. Is there anything i can do to get some sort of replacement?
I have a curve 8520, it is nearly two years old, I went to make a call and the speaker keeps flicking to headset and back, I have never connected a headset so it cannot be the settings, has anyone else had this problem if so what was the remedy to put it right.
Since I performed the last software update a couple of days ago I can only hear calls through the speaker or through the plugged in headset. I've tried resetting but the problem persists.
i am not getting any sound from the speaker. Sometimes speaker starts working suddenly and goes off after sometime . i have tried to insert and remove headphone multiple times , but to no avail .
Since the update my when I connect to my BT Voyager Pro+ the phone still rings through the speaker. Is there a setting for the phone to mute the speaker when it's connected to the headset?
I've made and received several calls with my new iPhone 4 since getting it yesterday morning, however I was using my headset. Now, just this evening I got two calls when I didn't have my headset on and both times I had bad sound quality from the phone itself. It was muffled, almost like a thin sheet was over the speaker and vibrating against it. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I recently downloaded the update for the new software and all was well then suddenly my speaker phone stopped working. As well as my speaker phone the audio output of the speaker itself does not put out any noise. I checked the silent mode switch on the side of the phone as well as the sound settings and all looks as it did when things were working.
my phone will play when i plug in an auxillary but when i go to play music just off the phone speaker there is no sound. also i can only hear when making a call while it is on speaker phone.
My iPhone 4s is 2 month old and all of a sudden when I make calls, the other party cannot hear me not even a single noise, it is like its on mute but it's not.
I have an iPhone 5 16gb with iOS 8.1.1 that I used last night with my LuguLake Portable Bluetooth Speaker to listen to music. I've used this particular bluetooth speaker for about 3 months.Â
I turned the bluetooth speaker off, like I always do, but the sound did not return to my phone. It has not made any sound since last night before I used it with the speaker.Â
I tried restarting the phone twice, using it with the bluetooth speaker again (works fine), tried it with headphones (works fine), but otherwise it acts like the mute switch is on - and its not. I've even tried restoring the phone and it didn't make any noise, so I restored my backup, still no noise... What do I do?!!!!!Â
I have an otterbox case on my phone and do not recall dropping it recently. I never use the headphone port so it's not dirty but I cleaned it with a q-tip just for good measure. I don't know what else to try.Â
It seems like the phone won't disconnect from the bluetooth speaker even with bluetooth off.Â
What should I do when my speaker (iphone 4s) emits no sound? When I play a song, the volume changer (+ & -) is not below. And when I click the + & - volume (on the left side of the phone), there is nothing happening.
If one were to listen to FM radio on one's Bionic (assuming this is legal. If it is against the rules, then note I would surely never do that!)....how do you plug in your earphones (needed as antenna) AND listen on the regular Bionic speakers? Is there a setting for this, or is it impossible to do?
My iphone will not play a ringtone or text tone when I get an incoming call/text. My ringer IS on, I can hear sound just fine when I go through and click the preview of whatever ringtone is selected, however won't play. Have tried multiple ringtones and even tried to power off/on my phone.
Iphone 4 sound issue. On my iphone, after the upgrade to 5.1.1, the sound will only work through the phone speaker when it is ringing. All application sounds and notification sounds will not work through the iphone speaker. When a speaker or headphone is plugged in, all of the sounds will work.
My speaker is no longer working on my IPhone 4s; I can't listen to music, hear the phone ring or listen to Siri. I can hear everything just fine with earbuds or when it is connected to a docking station. I reset all content & settings, powered down several times, tried plugging & unplugging earbuds, as well as cleaning out the earbud connection with compressed air.
