the speaker works as long as it isn't turned up to the highest option, then it becomes crackly. The microphone works, but you have to talk softly or be far away for the sound to be unmuffled. Headphones work perfectly. I know Apple doesn't cover water damage, so what can I do to save my phone?

I've made and received several calls with my new iPhone 4 since getting it yesterday morning, however I was using my headset. Now, just this evening I got two calls when I didn't have my headset on and both times I had bad sound quality from the phone itself. It was muffled, almost like a thin sheet was over the speaker and vibrating against it. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I dropped my Iphone in the sink for about 2 seconds, then took it out and dried it off. It all worked fine but a few minutes later the screen went black. I put it in rice for about 2 and a half days, and the sound and touch works (I can even unlock it and answer the phone), but I see not a thing on the screen. It's plain black. my phone dropped in a puddle of water last night. i quickly pulled it out but of course water got into it. it was working fine at first then this afternoon it started freezing up on me. the phone now works except for the keys. when i open up a blank SMS sheet or open up WhatsApp the cursor starts moving on its own as if the space key is stuck and i have to press the middle button a few times b4 i get a response. Any solutions? i tried blow drying it, and i put it in a bag of rice for a few minutes. should i leave it in the rice overnight?!

It works now except for one major problem.the trackball will not scroll at all. It won't go up or down or left or right. It will still select.I have a completely new housing and trackball. Then it turned on a seems to work fine except when I use the keypad only the number symbol comes up or a square. Like no numbers or letters come up. I cant type messages. I have a Nokia Supernova 7610 phone with 3.2 megapixel camera. Some days ago it dropped into water and I had to repair it via Nokia service centre. But after it was returned to me whenever I am opening the camera hazy lines and grains are appearing and the clarity of picture is not like I used to have before. My old Nexus 5 (vanilla 5.1.1 not rooted) is malfunctioning.There is no sound coming from the speaker in the bottom of the phone and the microphone is not picking up any sound when making a normal call and/or recording a video.The speaker at the top of the phone however, is working. So I hear people in phone calls, but they do not hear me.Now to the strange part: If I change to the loud speaker while in a call it's the opposite; I can not hear them but they can hear me.If I connect headphones into the headphone jack I can hear sound both in calls and in video playback.
So to summarize:
Playing video or music (YouTube, video recording, dialer sounds): No sound
Playing video or music (YouTube, video recording, dialer sounds) with headphones: Sound working
Recording video: No sound recorded
Making a phone call: Sound but no microphone
Making a phone call with loudspeaker on: No sound but microphone working
Making a phone call with handsfree connected: Not tested (I have no headphones with mic).
And what's even more strange is that I just replaced the flex cable with the microphone and charging dock and also the entire speaker with new parts from eBay. And guess what... it's still not working!!!
My sensation is a few months old and loud speaker has stopped working. I took it to Vodafone who did factory reset and software upgrade which made no difference.
I contacted HTC and they sent the phone back saying its been water damaged and sent me a picture of red indicator. Now I can confirm that phone has always been its case and never been put in water, there are no signs of water mark etc.
HTC are not listening and I don't have insurance. I have asked customer services to raise it further.
I might be barking up the wrong tree. Is it worth doing anything else, may be contacting Vodafone again.
