View 3 RepliesI have the iPhone 4 and was doing face time and also calling a land line. When using face time or using the speaker phone on land line calls, the person on the other end is not able to hear me.When using the phone in regular mode others have no problem hearing me (non-speaker phone).

My 4S microphone is fine when making a normal call, ie holding it to my ear or using headphones, but when I take it away and use the speaker for a call or Facetime I literally have to scream at the phone from 1 inch to be heard!

the speaker works as long as it isn't turned up to the highest option, then it becomes crackly. The microphone works, but you have to talk softly or be far away for the sound to be unmuffled. Headphones work perfectly. I know Apple doesn't cover water damage, so what can I do to save my phone?

My old Nexus 5 (vanilla 5.1.1 not rooted) is malfunctioning. There is no sound coming from the speaker in the bottom of the phone and the microphone is not picking up any sound when making a normal call and/or recording a video. The speaker at the top of the phone however, is working. So I hear people in phone calls, but they do not hear me.Now to the strange part: If I change to the loud speaker while in a call it's the opposite; I can not hear them but they can hear me.If I connect headphones into the headphone jack I can hear sound both in calls and in video playback.
So to summarize:
Playing video or music (YouTube, video recording, dialer sounds): No sound
Playing video or music (YouTube, video recording, dialer sounds) with headphones: Sound working
Recording video: No sound recorded
Making a phone call: Sound but no microphone
Making a phone call with loudspeaker on: No sound but microphone working
Making a phone call with handsfree connected: Not tested (I have no headphones with mic).
And what's even more strange is that I just replaced the flex cable with the microphone and charging dock and also the entire speaker with new parts from eBay. And guess what... it's still not working!!!
I've just purchased a new Vivaz and it appears that the speaker and microphone sound distorted. All my conversations sound distorted to other listeners. I've tried using Rogers support to reset but it still remains the same. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or is this just the quality of the phone itself.

View 3 Replies View RelatedTurn off the Google app TalkBack, the icon is a big HAND orange and white colors. This app is causing an echo when you use your Galaxy S5. Problem was, you can't hear the echo yourself, but the person you talk to will complain about an echo. I would get the echo when I went to speakerphone, but other owners may have this issue on regular speaker too, I don't know, but just turn off the TalkBack app, it's interfering.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought an iPhone 4S new in box (still shrink wrapped) just this passed month from a friend. They bought it originally in October, but for some reason, never got it from AT&T until December. Sometimes after I hang up a phone call that I was on using speakerphone, the microphone is still engaged after the call has ended. The only way I can kill the microphone is to reboot the phone. There are no other apps running and no calls going on when this is happening. It is very strange. I will note that the second microphone (near ear phone jack) is also active while this is happening. I will take to Apple Store but thought I'd share to see if anyone else has seen the issue. I'm running iOS 5.1 on my AT&T iPhone 4S.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBeing a sound engineer and involved in different aspects of music production, one of the features that made me purchasing the 5800 was the 'Digital stereo microphone' mentioned in the specifications... (quote):
Voice & Audio Recording
- Voice commands
- Speaker-independent name dialling (SIND)
- Voice recorder AMR, NB-AMR, FR, EFR
- Digital stereo microphone
I didn't find any trace of such digital mic, be it analogue or digital... the in-built mic is of course not stereo, and the mic in the remote isn't also, leave apart being 'digital'

View 1 Replies View RelatedNow and then I get complaints from the person I talk to that the sound quality suddenly becomes very poor. The comments usually are: Oops, I think you have switch on the speaker (which I don't have). I hear a lot of noice around you. ... or
I can bearly hear you. I think you have a signal problem (which I don't have) ...or
- What happend? Are you in a cave? There is a echo problem, I can hear my own voice.
I think there is some kind of microphone feedback problem.
At all time I can still hear with good quality. The poor sound is always for the other person.
I have tried to switch the speaker on/off and mute on/off during the call but it doesn't help. The only thing to do is to hang up and call back. Then the sound is back to normal .... but can again switch back to poor quality after a while.
I want ti turn speaker on while in a call. wht i need to do? voice is very less in the phone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI know this may sound silly, but how do I turn on the screen when talking through the headset or using speakers. It's just the screen goes black after a few seconds after turning on the speakers or plugging in the headset, then I'd like to use the phone, but I just cannot turn it on. Only way it to use the power button, but that disconnects the call.

Can the speaker volume on my nokia 1661 be turned up? And if so, how? It is so quiet that to hear someone that I am on the phone with I have to turn on speakerphone or be in a completely silent room and press the phone really strongly against my ear. This is very annoying, does anyone else have that problem?
