I've had my X10 (full size version) for about 3 months. It has recently started freezing at random times from startup to opening apps and even just in standby. It also then gets hot and a there is a smell of burning when I remove the battery.It seems to have coincided with the recent update, but the burning smell makes me think its a hardware, and not a software fault.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter every call, Hangouts will freeze. It will unfreeze after about a minute. Then I send the error report, it will freeze again for another minute. Then I can click okay to close the app. SMS usually doesn't make it freeze, but sometimes will.

For the last couple of months, my iphone freezes in any application, causing me to turn my phone off completely. It's happening more frequently, and is quite irritating when I need to call someone, and frozen in email, or whatever I've made all the available updates, etc. I've also taken very good care of my iphone, so shouldn't be a damage issue at all.

Why oh why does this phone freeze on me? I think it hates me as much as I hate it. I have missed may vital calls. Have turned it off and on again works for a while then the same problem happens. It is only 2 months old.

But since I've got it back from Nokia, the phone keeps freezing up and sometimes when I receive calls, I cannot answer the call as the touch screen won't respond. Anyone knows what I can do to fix this as I can't be without my phone for another week like the last time I sent it in for servicing.

I find this happens on the lock screen occasionally, when i try and slide to unlock, nothing happens, its like the screen is not detecting any actions. I usually end up having to hold both power/home buttons until the phone restarts because even the 'slide to power off' won't work.

Now, this phone freezes at least 10 times a day, irrespective of whether I am just playing a game on the phone or accessing something. It is becoming a real pain...had it been just the one phone, I would have said that it was something on the phone but this is happening on both the phones at random times. Is there some software that could resolve this? Is it the phone itself that is the problem? I am not happy with this. The fact that it is less than a month old says something. I don't even download onto the phone and am having these issues. There is not much on the phone at the moment as well.

I will press buttons the scroll button and nothing happens, then a minute later or so, it will sort of wake up and start responding again.The email, Facebook, and internet has always been extemely slow, but I think this is because I have only one bar of service most of the time.
The freezing thing happens in a variety of places - when I'm checking emails, trying to open icons from the home page, want to make a call, or most annoyingly, when I need to adjust the volume. Basically, it is having about a 30 second delay on waking up all the time, even when currently in use.
My blackberry curve's trackpad keeps freezing up, so I can't do anything with it. I can just about navigate through my messages as I can click on things with the trackpad & thank god for keyboard shortcuts ! I found a post saying that I had to tighten the TX screw or something of the sort but I'm worried I'll do something and then it'll no longer be under guarantee.

Various apps seem slugish and the phone freezes up quite often.It was generally OK with 1.6 and with 2.1.0 but 2.1.1 seems to have really messed things up inc not reveiving SMS picture messages at all sometimes??
View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery time I either try to make a call, or answer a call, the screen on my phone goes off (although the call will still continue, and the light round the button remains on.) It then won't unfreeze at all, so I can't hang up the call without taking the battery out of my phone. Pressing the power button has no effect, and it doesn't matter whether I have the phone to my head or not. My phone did have this problem a couple of months ago but seemed to get rid of it itself.

I can get it to work again by going to the lock screen. I'm not sure whether this is something I could fix with a reset or maybe some sort of phone setting, I suspect my phone is faulty. Ive downloaded a third party message app and that works fine so the fault is definitely with the htc software. I would like to continue using this regular htc software for messaging and no, I do not want to delete any of my messages either.
